Now that dig is not pretty it leaves ur yard a mess but Im thankful that my line runs in the back of my home bc I wouldve had a cow had that mess had to be left in my front yard. The current water softener needed a new water softener distributor because the current water softener distributor was cracked. Advantage Water Conditioning replaced the water softener distributor which is working very wel and saved me a couple thousand dollars. Advantage Water Conditioning didn't sell me something I didn't need but instead resolved the issue with the repair. That is what you can expect with Advantage Water Conditioning. The flooring has not been restored, parts of our home are still unfinished, and communication has been minimal despite multiple attempts to follow up and now they are refusing to cooperate. What has been most concerning is not the issue itself, but the lack of follow-through after responsibility was acknowledged in writing. This has resulted in an ongoing disruption to our home and a very frustrating experience. Everyone who came to our property was professional, friendly and explained what was happening. We truly appreciate the effort they put into trying to help us. Our concerns stem primarily from communication, transparency and expectations that were set during the sales process. When the project was sold to us, we were told there was approximately an 85% chance of hitting good water with a bucket well. We were previously using a pond well and despite explaining that we had recent bacteria testing showing no issues, the salesperson repeatedly expressed concern that our water could be harming our children and stated that he was "so concerned" that our situation would be treated like an emergency. Because of those conversations we felt a great deal of urgency to move forward and trusted that all available options and risks were being fully explained. We made it very clear that we needed adequate clean water for our family and wanted to realistically understand all of our options before making such a large investment. We asked multiple times and he was confident this well drilling would be successful. We were told they would first attempt a rotary well and that if that did not work, a bucket well would likely be successful. However, after the rotary well was drilled to 200 feet without finding water, we were immediately told that a bucket well was probably not a good option either. That completely contradicted what he had told us before moving forward. The bucket well was drilled but it has never produced enough water to meet our family's needs. We understand that no company can guarantee water quantity or quality and that drilling always involves risk. However, after reviewing nearby public well logs ourselves, it appears that low production was a much more realistic possibility than we were initially led to believe. We did not realize local well logs were public and after reviewing the area it seems clear there was never a strong possibility of hitting good water. Water storage options should have been discussed from the beginning. One of our biggest concerns involved communication regarding water quality. After the well was completed we believed the water was safe to use and were never informed that bacteria testing was still pending. We used the water, including for our son who has significant medical needs, only to learn nearly a week later that the water had tested positive for E. coli. That lack of communication was extremely concerning. At that point we were advised that an additional $1,800 UV treatment system was the best solution. We explained that we could not afford another major expense on top of the nearly $19k we had already invested. We were told not to worry and that they would "figure out the nickels and dimes after we get your water safe for your son." Based on that conversation we believed the additional cost would be manageable. In the end the discount offered was only $150, which was not what we understood from those discussions. We were also initially told the well was producing around 140 gallons per day. After experiencing sediment coming through our plumbing and requiring another drilling rig to return to the property, we reviewed our actual water usage data and the well appears to be producing closer to 30 gallons per day. As a result we have spent over $19k and still require weekly water deliveries with no storage. Looking back we wish additional options such as water storage solutions had been discussed more thoroughly from the beginning given the local well data. We recognize that drilling wells involves uncertainty and appreciate that C&J returned to address problems. However, the lack of transparency, inconsistent communication and expectations set during the sales process left us feeling that we invested a significant amount of money while still facing the same water challenges we were trying to solve.

The house runs on a private well system. An iron filter system is a big water treatment component that was installed by C&J some time ago. Most recently, a new media tank was installed since the previous one was about 10 years old and likely nearing the end of its lifespan. The call was made and done a few days prior, scheduling was done easily, and the service/tank exchange was done with no issue. After the new media filter was in place, the technician, Jeff, was sure to run a cycle and stuck around for a few moments to ensure proper functioning. Like previous service calls, work was done promptly and within reasonable pricing. Highly recommended for homeowners with well water systems!

Since then, they have done work on my salon and two more houses we moved into. Each and every time they have gone above and beyond in courtesy, punctuality, cleanliness, quality and trustworthiness. It is rare that I have been able to say that with other contractors and companies with which we have done business. Today, Phil and Joe came to replace a cracked drain pipe from a second floor bathroom that was leaking in the basement. They pinpointed where the leak was, found it in the wall and managed to cut a modest, perfect square in the wall to remove the broken drain, which will make it a sinch for me to fix since they saved the drywall and I can put it right back in. When they got here, they found evidence of another leak as the pipe travels across the basement to a main drain, so they replaced the whole section for us for only an additional $200! With the entire section of old cast iron replaced with PVC, it looks so much better and fits better along the ceiling than the previous pipe that was hanging down and in our way. Everything was clean and put back together when they left. They have saved us more than once and it has been a pleasure giving them our business. If we ever stop moving into these old houses we may never need them again, but if we do Im super glad they are there.

Dirty Stinking Dishonest…read more Warning to not use LD Smith.... Our experience with them began in 2024 and ended several months ago. They came to our home to replace sewer line in basement. They took out old line and installed the new line in an upward slope (all sewer lines need to be installed in a downward slope in order for waste to flow out of house). They created a situation where waste could not exit our home and we paid them over $11,000 do to this to us. We had no choice but to use another company to fix the horrible mess LD Smith made in our home. We tried and failed to recover the money we paid to LD Smith through the courts. We believe LD Smith has been to court many times before and knows exactly how to manipulate the Indiana legal system and competing contractors to get favorable outcomes for themselves. If you are unfortunate enough to call LD Smith for help, please read their contract in detail before signing and hiring them. Their contract limited our ability to recover all of what we paid them and was somewhat confusing. If you are unfortunate enough to hire LD Smith and find yourself in a similar situation, document everything be it photographs, communications, contracts, etc. Hiring an independent plumbing inspector who will help to document and collect evidence and who will testify to that evidence in court is essential. If these things are not done, there is no one and nothing else that will help you through it successfully. LD Smith treated us with condescension and disdain, denied anything was wrong with what they did in our home, and blamed us, other contractors or other issues for causing the problem they created. They did not care at all about us as customers. Our sincere warning to anyone is to not hire LD Smith. No reputable company would have you sign a contract that limits their liability. No reputable company would install sewer line that does not meet code requirements. No reputable company would treat customers the way they have treated us.
