So, first off...Evening and Saturday appointments...need I say more? I have a cracked tooth and I called Leander Dental Care because I needed to find a dentist with evening or weekend hours. The woman who assisted me in scheduling the appointment was understanding of my schedule limitations and was more than willing to work with me with a friendly attitude, the entire time. When I told her my dental situation, she was empathetic and recognized the sense of urgency and tried to get me in as soon as she could. I was able to be seen this Saturday. When I got into the office, it was clean and simple. Upon checking in, I mentioned that I had never been there before and she probably needed my dental insurance information. She said they already got everything they needed before I got there. That was awesome! Additionally, they have the forms they need you to fill out on their website so I had everything ready before I got there. I was in the lobby for maybe 3 minutes before they called me in for the appointment. Dr. McCormick seemed very friendly and down to earth. He spoke to me about the process that he needed to complete in a very non-patronizing and non "dummed-down" manner. He told me he wanted to make sure that the treatment plan was something that was going to work for me (financially) and we would reschedule something as soon as I was ready to get the dental work I need, done. I asked about scheduling a cleaning and possibly switching to this office for all of my dental needs and the woman assisting me said, "We are glad to have you." Very hospitable. I'm glad to have them so close. As a matter of fact, they are so close to my house that when I couldn't get in touch with my ride, I just walked home. I felt rushed to get a deep cleaning before what was said to be an infection under the gum line was healed. I generally don't like changing dentists or going to the dentist in the first place, but I had a good experience at Leander Dental Care. My dental hygienist was a woman named Zainab, and she was very friendly and personable. I don't usually like making small talk, especially at the dentist's office, but I was comfortable talking to her. She was also thorough with her cleaning and caring, asking multiple times to make sure I was comfortable throughout the cleaning. The dentist was Chris, and he was friendly as well and informative about the issue I was potentially facing with my wisdom teeth. I have already scheduled a 6-month follow-up at Leander Dental Care. I am a twenty year dental phobe. Hate needles and hate all the sensory overload and as a result I need a lot of dental work. I have been to other well reviewed dental offices in this area. None that I loved, some that I ran from. However I totally love this place. The entire experience has been comfortable and accepting and I have been truly thrilled with Dr Good's skill as a dentist and his professional input regarding my teeth and treatment planning. His skills are not just good (no pun intended) they are really phenomenal. Massive work my second visit. No no no pain during the procedures or after the novacaine wore off (I had nitrous as a primer). The two hygenists I have worked (Rebecca and ? Sherri) have both been great and very skilled. The office has given me confidence that they will do what they need to do to ensure my dental insurance is satisfied with the care and billing costs and their treatment plans clearly spell out monetary responsibility. I have had three visits thus far and it's all been one hundred percent good. I really nearly almost look forward to the visits now. There is no higher praise in my book than this. read more

Most people might not think of love when they go to the dentist office, but I admit I love my dentist office, Leander Dental. Everyone there is extremely nice and friendly. The hygienists are caring, helpful and do a great job, and Drs McCormick and Good are top-notch and professional. I never feel pressured or uncertain about suggested procedures (with regular cleanings I rarely need them), and any work I have had done was painless as possible. The worst customer service and bedside manners I had ever experienced. I called to get a denture partial to replace two teeth that were removed. First off they demanded another Panoramic xray which they had already taken the year before. They asked for the money up front. Luckily, I called my dental insurance prior to going . I had new insurance and it would be covered. Normally that xray is covered every 5 years and it does not diagnose cavities. I even gave them the new insurance before going to the appointment. I saw on the paperwork from the front office to the Dr that I was interested in a partial and it said -good luck-lol-on the bottom. I could not believe how incredibly unprofessional this is! Dr Good came in and said I need all in 4s dental implants. He did not offer options or even a cleaning. He said I was "hopeless" . He said his office does not offer partials or dentures ,and I would have to go somewhere else. I said I made it clear when I made the appointment and why didn't someone let me know you don't offer these services. Partials have been around for years. What are most people suppose to do? Who wants to agree to $30,000 worth of implants when its not necessary. Why didn't they mentioned that when I called? Why take another xray if you were not going to help me? He said it was not worth to have my teeth cleaned. I was in shocked and they released me. The front office again wanted money for the xray. I said its covered by insurance, and they said you are right. Needless to say I went to another dentist to get another opinion . They gave me several options, and took the time to talk with me like a Dr should. read more

Have been a bi-annual patient of Dr. McCormick's Leander Dental Care facility for the about 10 years. This past year they undertook a large expansion & renovation of building and parking. It is nearly completed and looks crisp & clean. The dental hygienist have always been friendly, efficient and very knowledgable. Dr. McCormick is a straight shooter and will give you the bottom-line on what is happening within your mouth. I apparently cracked a back molar and did not even realize it until my cleaning. It crack along an OLD filling line, but did not shatter the tooth or get into the root. They were able to grind down and fit for a crown that turned out to fit like a glove. I do not have dental insurance and the procedure was not cheap, but not out of the 'going rate.' read more

Try Renken Dental instead, especially if you are non-white. I booked an appointment several days in advance and filled out all kinds of paperwork and started receiving multiple texts and email reminders. The day before my appointment, I got a text from them saying my insurance had expired. My insurance had changed starting in 2022 - I mean who doesn't have a change of insurance every now and then? I told them I would find the correct insurance and send it to them later that evening and offered to pay cash if we couldn't sort the insurance out. I thought everything was settled. Then the Office Manager sent me a text alleging I had been rude to the staff. I had not spoken any curse words nor had I used any belittling terms so I didn't understand what she was talking about - I had assured the staff I did have insurance, told them that I would find the updated insurance information and send it to them right away, and that I was ready to pay cash if there were any issues. Shouldn't the job of the Office Manager be to de-escalate a situation? Apparently, this Office Manager thinks her job is to create a situation where there was no situation. At this point, I just politely told her "cancel my appointment". I'm so glad I cancelled with Leander Dental because I was able to get an appointment the next morning with Renken Dental and found them to be excellent. read more

Everyone I encountered was super nice. Dr. McCormick was polite, compassionate, and very gentle. He didn't make any weird comments about my crooked teeth. (Every time I saw my last dentist, she had to tell me that I had an...unusual bite. Seriously. I grew up poor. My teeth still reflect that, but I don't think it needs to be an issue every time.) Dr. McCormick didn't say a word about my ugly teeth. He focused on the problem I was having and didn't try to sell me any other things. He seemed genuinely concerned with my pain and well-being. Leander Dental has been my dental office for the last 12-14 years! They've been great with informing me of the out of pocket cost and what insurance is covering. Its been a great experience for so many years and it would be hard to find another dental office that makes you feel welcomed. Most importantly, I've had 5-6 appointments in the last year and never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. That's amazing to be taken care of like that with the way the world has been for the last couple years. They seem to be fully staffed and it shows.Very friendly staff and that's saying something about the way it's run by the company. Great customer service! Such a relief to have dental work by happy and friendly people! You never want a dental assistant that's had a bad day taking it out on your teeth and gums to make them happy! Since this was my first time going for a cleaning after having a baby, I was a little worried about my sensitive teeth. The Dentist I saw was good and had a very conservative approach about treatment, basically not selling unnecessary treatment. But my ultimate praise goes to their hygienist Zainab, who listened to my concern and tried to make me feel at east as much as she could. She was very empathetic and attentive, checking to see if anything was bothering my teeth throughout the cleaning. I have been with Leander Dental for a good number of years and their service has always been good. When covid hit, I didn't come in for over a year. I just recently scheduled for a dental cleaning and called their office. I had to go online to schedule an appointment. When I went online, their scheduling dates were for March 2021 and not current. It was not user friendly.. I then decided to send a letter to their office to ask for an appointment. It has been almost a week and I have not been contacted. I did everything I could to try to get in touch and no response. This is terrible customer service and I am very disappointed. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

If I could write this with no stars I would. -Was told I would get a call back; I did not -After I called back I provided my insurance information; information wasn't in their system when I came in for my xray. -They decided my emergency contacts lived with me -They gave my mother my account information, including what I had already paid without my permission -I wrote down that I am allergic to acetaminophen on the paperwork; they managed to not scan that in and the hygienist had to manually add it. -I confirmed my appointment and the fact that I had a payment plan (suggested by the caller, not me) over the phone; payment plans don't exist and they weren't sure where I got that---AND after stressing how hard it is to get time off for my wisdom tooth surgery and recovery and making the confirmation over the phone...they didn't have me scheduled. My emergency contacts also altered their work days and schedules. -They decided without the consultation that I was just going to be under anesthesia; I had to CONVINCE them not to do it. Not that they listened the multiple times I said "NO", but that I had to give multiple of my sob stories to CONVINCE them this added danger to the surgery was unnecessary. -I had to reschedule my time off which looked terrible on ME at work -The oral surgeon tried multiple times to convince me to take acetaminophen WHILE we were discussing my being allergic to it. He was still dissatisfied and wanted to give it to me after multiple conversations about it, and hearing my rare but well known reaction, but I said NO. -I discussed that I didn't want anything that is known to interact with my anxiety medication -The oral surgeon tried a couple times to get me to take medicine that interacts with my anxiety medicine. -The hygienist took the front desk clipboard from me with her GLOVED HANDS. That's right! Not prewashed, pregloved hands-Already-to-go-in my mouth-and-help-with-surgery hands -They didn't tell me when when they were starting the laughing gas, and I just had to tell them that I suddenly had IMMENSE pressure in my extremities -While still coming off the laughing gas, and clearly shaking (left over anxiety), with chipmunk cheeks, and exhaustion, they told me I didn't need a post op-and I was in no position to argue. -I had to call back and demand a post op the next day (post op is included in your surgical costs btw) since I had JUST had surgery and had to take time off prior for the post op. -I do like that the oral surgeon told me the percentage of laughing gas that I liked so that I can let others know in the future.
