Aerobic workout style class set to loud pop music played during vinyasas and sivasana. After class the teacher played harmonium and sung Vedic style hymns to God in English and Sanskrit. A Very Americanized form of yoga. No mention of breath/ pranayama/ alignment. Could be great if you enjoy the club/ gym vibe. Personally, not my cup of chai. read more

I am new to Yoga, and so glad that I found this amazing studio. Very friendly, warm and welcoming staff, as well as friendly members. The studio is very clean, many amenities, and the price is very affordable as a student. Basic and all levels classes are appropriate for beginners, although the latter is challenging (meaning I take child's pose for some portions of the class, but still feel challenged). Music is motivating but not overwhelming. I read many reviews about blasting pop music but I have yet to experience any (in a few weeks in now). Highly recommend. read more

I really like Leap, the teachers, and the classes. However I am disappointed to see that they don't seem to offer the unlimited auto pay for $99 a month anymore. Yoga is already an expensive practice to keep up at a studio but I felt the 99 deal was very reasonable and I was looking forward to taking advantage of it once an injury healed. With the new more expensive price I probably will not do an unlimited deal. read more

LEAP Yoga is an amazing place with great teachers and assistants. They really care about their students and their yin and several styles of vinyasa classes leave you feeling strong and refreshed. Great Yoga place!!! Was passing thru Sac'to and needed to release some stress built up from visiting seven cities for business this week. The shower was key so I could continue my day. I took two classes at Leap Yoga this weekend while visiting my family in Folsom, and will definitely return the next time I'm up there! The class was challenging yet relaxing, with helpful tips from the instructor that didn't feel invasive or distracting. The group of classmates varied in age and skill level. The front lobby area was clean and bright, with just the right amount of products so that you didn't feel pressured to buy anything but could browse and find some cool things. The yoga room itself was clean, refreshing and not too cluttered. I liked the altar at the front. I liked that equipment was provided but that people could bring their own things if they wanted to. It was helpful to have the instructor on a mic so that everyone could hear. I was sore afterward but also looked forward to my next class. This is a great spot if you're looking for fun, friendly people who are interested in holistic wellness! read more

I've practiced yoga at a lot of studios in the area and LEAP remains my favorite. The studio is beautiful and comfortable. The showers are a PLUS for me as I sometimes practice before work. This is a really nice studio with equally as nice of people running it =) Cathy and Corey's classes are the only ones I've tried so far and they are challenging but accessible to any level. I am a beginner and they make me feel comfortable while still encouraging to test new limits. The facilities are beautiful and clean and they have extra amazing perks such as free mat loans. Experienced Zuda yoga once, was a bit crowded for me. Saw Leap was opening and similar. Had a much better experience at Leap. Did 30 for 30 with Instructor Corey. He was great! Was able to keep up with the yogi's and did not feel rushed or pressure, studio was not so hot that you feel like your going to die. Much less crowded. Felt like a new person when I was done! And you dont have to purchase your own mats, Staff very friendly and welcomed me. Facilities are very nice! Im going to start on a regular basis! Excellent yoga studio! read more

Excellent instructors, friendly people, and a wide range of classes. They also offer classes at multiple times of the day so I can always squeeze one into my schedule. Although I very much enjoyed the classes I have taken thus far at LEAP yoga, I found the behavior of one of the instructors at the end of the class very odd. His name is Butch. At the end of the class he wanted to give everyone a hug "with his eyes." So in order to do this, he looked at every student individually in the eye, held his gaze with each for about 5 seconds, before moving onto the next student. During the entire time we all just say there, with a few of us obviously uncomfortable with this gesture, as he moved from student to student, holding his gaze with them. Very odd indeed. read more

This place is cool. The teachers are great (I don't particularly care for a few, but honestly you will find that with anything you do in life.) Plus, it isn't so much about the teacher as it is about the students. Which this place gets MUCH more than other yoga studios in the area. So many yoga teachers are super into themselves and make their class all about them, these guys DON'T! They have student discounts, kids yoga (which my 4 1/2 year old loves!) great space, clean, super friendly. It is the whole package. My only tiny problem with the studio, which seems to be a trend in the area, is that the all level classes, are not reaaallllyyyy all level. Or if they are, a lot of the teachers don't teach it that way. They do have beginner classes however, so if you are completely new to yoga you may want to check those out first, or take the all level and just go in with a smile and don't expect to understand everything right away! It's a process. It's yoga, it's a practice! You aren't supposed to be perfect. :) read more

I love Everything about leap yoga! Leap yoga has everything and more that I've been craving in my yoga practice. All teachers are amazing! I love the ambiance, the environment, the teachers, the yogis, and the staff! I've been to quite a few yoga studios and none compare to leap yoga. Each place is different but my soul was searching for a deeper connection to my practice. Leap yoga provides an environment with the perfect balance of spirituality, grounding yourself, connecting with yourself/others/and something higher than yourself. To me, this is my church, my safe haven, where I recycle/refresh to connect to myself in a way I've been missing. I'm always so happy getting there even if it's hard to make it because I know after my yoga practice I feel so refreshed and rejuvenated. Each teacher is incredible. I'm so grateful that they've chosen this path to be what they are meant to be wonderful teachers for us to learn from. Each practice the teachers have beautiful and profound messages that resonate with me deeply each time.
