I can't say enough good things about Learning Paws. They take incredible care of my pup and treat her like she is family. They are incredibly reliable, flexible, and accommodating. My dog loves going there to see her friends (both dog and human!). I've shopped around at several camps and this is the best in my opinion. Their groups are smaller than other ones in the area. They have to dogs broken into tinies, mediums, and biggies, instead of just small and large. Also, their rooms and outside areas are spacious, so the dogs aren't on top of each other. Lastly, their half days are 6 hours instead of 5, like other camps. The dogs play and interact all day and are never kenneled. When I pick my girl up, she's exhausted in the best way and we all are happy! Thank you LP for being the absolute best out there!!

I've been taking my dog Daisy (shiba inu) to this daycare for the past 3 years and my lab mix Cookie for the past year. I love this place! It's conveniently located close to my work place. I trust them 100% with my dogs, have never had any incident and they all know the dogs by name and also know their personalities well. They are very responsible and take good care of the dogs. Sean is fantastic and loves the dogs as if they were his children. My shiba inu hates people but she absolutely loves Shawn and that's a lot to say! My black lab goes to another daycare located in Scottsdale when I work in other places and it's crazy how she reacts so different when I'm about to drop her off at Learning Pawsibilities. She gets so excited and can't wait to get off the car! At the other daycare in Scottsdale she is fearful and wants to get back in the car

I rescued a 12 week old pitbull pup on his way to the pound. I live alone and work a very busy schedule. He is one of my biggest responsibilities and if I didn't have some place to take him where I knew he was loved, safe, cared for and happy, I don't know how we would make it. It takes a village... We are so lucky to have found learning paws and have them be a part of our village . He frequently drags me to the door and I can often be seen lifting him out of the lobby. Sean once waited in an Emergency room with him for hours during an allergic reaction making sure he didn't feel frightened. His happiness brings me so much joy and learning paws has played a tremendous role in that he's been there from about a year , he's 5 now and we love it!

Omg Angelia and Marissa are the sweetest humans alive. (Also Dalton, Dave and Brittany you guys rock! Sorry I don't know everyone's name) We've been taking our two dogs, Chewie and Kuma, since they were puppies. It's been great for socialization and takes a lot off of our plate with younger dogs. They come home pooped. Today they gave our chow chow the royal treatment. Thank you ladies for the best customer service

Where do I even begin. First of all - we hand selected these folks and entrusted them with the care of our only family member. A few weeks she sustained a bite while at Learning Paws ....that's not our issue. Although it was upsetting we are mainly upset by the TOTAL lack of communication, zero reporting on the issue and then, outside of one phone call to "check in" ...radio silence since. That is until we posted a bad review - that's creating some passive communication. We both missed work all week, have been nursing an Injured dog back to health and still haven't been refunded for our $24 visit. They did however throw money at the problem by paying for the emergency visit to the vet. They haven't let us see the tapes and offered ZERO apology and rather made excuses as to the fact that "maybe it was a herding breed" and "accidents happen". Weeks later they confirmed she was "in a fight" which is totally normal - EXCEPT THEY NEVER REPORTED THIS TO US. they will tell you that they do body checks on the dogs - But clearly that is not done in a consistent manner - since an incident was never reported to us. I could easily see the hole in her body from across the room when we got home. (See pic); I get that accidents happen but you're supposedly trained professionals that are capable of hiring qualified employees to care for animals. Oh and we pay you to watch the dogs and prevent fights such as this I understand the plight of a small business trying to identify and train qualified staff to run an operation such as this. However, being understaffed is a terrible excuse for ineffective service. You have the option to limit the number of dogs or pay slightly more on an hourly basis to ensure that the care is continued across all staff members. I'm disgusted and I'd sincerely think twice before sending your loved one there. Mirna and Lena ...since you can't respond to phone calls I figured this was where to get your attention

PLEASE READ BEFORE TAKING YOUR DOG TO LEARNING PAWSIBILITIES!!!! If I had shared this review a year ago, I would have told you that Learning Pawsibilities was wonderful. After carefully reading through their reviews and learning more about the owners, staff and services my husband and I felt more than comfortable sending our puppy there. We trusted them, their knowledge, professionalism. We even paid to have our puppy privately trained with one of their trainers at our home. Which was extremely successful. Our puppy was making great progress and we had built up so much trust with her and the staff at Learning Paws. As the year continued, we experience a few hiccups with the staff. It seemed that they were VERY short staffed. We also noticed that some of the staff members were lacking 'attention to detail'. Which will/can happen when businesses have a quick turn over. We decided to pull back and only send our pup a few 1/2 days a week here and there. THEN... Just about a month ago, I dropped our pup off at around 7am and picked her up at 2pm. I asked how she did that day and I received a very vague response. As I stood in the lobby waiting for them to bring her to me I was watching the surveillance cameras and noticed that my pup was hiding under a slide. Then she got up with her tail tucked behind her back legs. She looked terribly scared and I knew something was not normal. We got in the car, drove home and she immediately went and hid under our bed. I knew something was up, so I kept an eye on her and shortly found her nursing a bloody inch and half wound. She had been bit in what would basically be her back leg armpit area. Immediately took her to the vet, called Learning Paws, and was at the vet from 2:30pm - 8:30pm. Learning Paws said they do "body checks" at 12pm and did not see anything. We asked them to please check the video recordings to see what could have happened. They had the nerve to ask us if maybe something happened before we dropped her off at daycare. Seriously!? Our pup was finished with surgery and starting to come off the anesthesia. The vet communicated with us that Learning Paws was 'taking care of the bill' - How nice of them, ha! Call us 'crazy dog owners', but we were furious!!! No call from Mirna to explain the situation in more detail, no apology, seemingly no concern about the dog at all. Nothing!!! We had to pay out of pocket for the antibiotics, we both work full time and needed to switch our schedules around completely to care for the dog. Not to mention, this was a major set back with all the work we have done socializing our dog. I apologize for the LONG winded review, but I feel it is my responsibility to share our experience with others. Of course, things happen and especially with pets, but the way this situation was handled is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, in my opinion. Hopefully, our review helps others make safe doggie daycare decisions and keeps all of our furry babies safe! Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. ***********RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT: The incident was handled poorly and unprofessionally... Throwing money at a vet bill does not cut it and I would hope you understand that. We should have been informed immediately that our dog was in a supposed dog fight, but we were not!!!! We were not informed of anything and the poor dogs you are caring for do not have a voice. Your staff had no knowledge of the incident even happening. It was not until we called to tell you she had bit that at daycare. It breaks my heart to think about how long she had been injured, scared and uncomfortable in your staffs hands. Where was your staff when the supposed fight happened? Why weren't we informed of the incident? Why wasn't she taking to the vet immediately? Or when the BODY CHECKS were done, why didn't they see the injury? All VERY good questions to ask, but for some reason we were left in the dark with no answers to those questions. This review is mainly a VOICE for the animals that cannot speak for themselves. Also we 100% bought/paid for a private training package, had one session and never heard back about the Urban Dog training dates so we asked to kindly refund our remaining money. Have a look at your records. To think we would take you up on an offer to "take care" of our dog in one of your separated rooms after the incident is a nice offer, BUT a bit mind blowing. Sorry to say, after experiencing how this was all handled we choose not to support your business. My apologies for being beyond frustrated and bringing the bill in to your "store" - I thought you might want to see it and have a copy for your records. Clearly, you were too busy. Best wish to you as well... More importantly, best wishes to the safety of the animals that have no voices.

I truly can't say enough good things about this company and the people who own/work there. Mirna and her staff have been working with our Doberman Louie for months now (he's quite the hyper, crazy pup) on his socialization and manners with other dogs. Not only does Louie love going to this facility and working their Mirna and her staff, they really make us feel comfortable leaving Louie in their hands. We love love LOVE this place and will continue bringing our Louie bear there =) Photo of Learning Pawsibilities 2 - Phoenix, AZ, United States. Louie Bear and Olivia

I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. We had previously completed seven sessions with another trainer at Rob's Dogs and while that experience was fine for basic obedience, it felt like 'training' rather than the deep level behavioral correction we actually needed. Thankfully, because of the Rob's Dogs lifetime guarantee, we were connected with Joel. From the first hour, the difference was night and day. Joel immediately identified the core issues and provided professional, actionable insight on how to actually shift the dogs' behavior, rather than just running through commands. We already feel significantly more confident moving forward and have total trust in the tools and guidance Joel has given us. If you are struggling with behavioral issues that go beyond the basics, I highly recommend working with Joel. We are incredibly optimistic about the progress we'll make in our upcoming sessions.

Although the dog has been through several training programs, she had recently reverted back to being reactive on leash: barking, pulling, and lunging at any dog that barked at her or gave her a "look". Thankfully I found Rob's Dogs through a search online. Rob offers dog training either through individual sessions sold as a packet of 8 or 3, or you can elect to do a board and train method. Since my mom's dog had done two board and trains with other training facilities in Florida and Texas, I opted for the individual sessions sold as a packet of 3. Not to disparage the other training schools, I want to note that the dog had learned a great deal of commands, but she was a little rusty and selective when doing them and was selectively reactive on leash around other dogs. What we needed was a trainer that could come to my mom's neighborhood and see the dog being reactive in the environment where she was going to be walked. Thankfully Rob's Dogs offered this as an option. It cost a significant amount to do this, but it was possible. The additional cost was for the mileage and drive time to my mom's place. We had a meet and greet at the facility. Rob, the owner, met with us and got the back story on the dog and the current behavior problems. He took the dog and walked her around a bit and near other dogs, tested her response to commands and leash pressure. He explained the package options available to us. He also made us aware that we would be using both a prong collar and e-collar to reinstate her former training. We had these tools, but my mom hadn't used them with the dog since she left Florida, and I had never used them. We were assigned a trainer who was contracted by Rob. Lauryn was super friendly and had a love and full understanding of the German Shepherd breed. She herself had a German Shepherd. She went over the operation of the two collars which I was not familiar with at all. Rob's dogs sent us a link and password so that we could watch some important training videos. His website also had some very useful training tips. I highly recommend watching/reading this information carefully and then reviewing it again each week. It's easy for owners to slip into bad habits quickly which results in their dogs behaving in ways they don't want. You will have to enforce rules and get into a routine. Restrictions can be lifted once the dog consistently behaves as desired. You will find that YOU will have to do the hard work. The trainer and Rob's Dogs will assess your current situation and give you the tools and training to use those tools to reinforce good behaviors. It won't happen overnight. You will need to work with the dog for at least an hour each day to reinforce the seven commands and expectations. As I mentioned, we only had three sessions. This training was going to determine whether or not my mom could keep and handle her dog. Immediately after the first session, we started using the tools and putting restrictions in place inside the house to set the law of the land. Right away, we noticed a difference. While the dog was already really well behaved in the house, it improved her response to us when we walked her outside of the house. The prong collar made a drastic difference in her behavior when she saw other yappy dogs on the walk. I no longer had to worry about her lunging, pulling or barking incessantly in an aggressive stance. She still got up, moved forward, and barked once, but it was all very controlled. I didn't have to use all of my strength to hold her back. The real test came when my mom was able to walk her dog around other yappy dogs. After session two, my mom was easily able to do this, and I felt confident that continuing this training would allow my mom to keep her dog. Her German Shepherd is sometimes still reactive, but it is much more controlled and manageable now. In time, and with continued consistent practice, I believe my mom's dog will eventually stop the reactivity altogether. She has already shown amazing progress and only slips occasionally. If you are looking for effective dog training (well, really we know it is human training to learn how to effectively communicate with the dog), then consider Rob's Dogs. You will work hard to get your dog's behavior issues resolved, but the longterm results will allow you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet.

For dog sitting, in our home, we've used Michelle several times now and she is great. Our 3 dogs love her and she clearly loves them too. We have 2 Great Danes and Beagle/Boston Terrier mix who are getting up there in age. Our male Great Dane has a number of health issues and Michelle handles it all so well. There's a laundry list of medications for the dogs and she does a great job keeping up with it all. She doesn't mind when I'm that helicopter dog mom and I check too often on my sick boy. Regardless of his illness, Michelle sends many pictures and text updates on how things are going with all the dogs. As a very protective momma, I trust Michelle completely with my furbabies and home. We love having Michelle take care of our babies... so much so that when we were planning the August trip we just completed, she wasn't available on our original dates, so we moved our trip to make sure she was available. I appreciate the freedom Kristie and Michelle offer us to get away several times a year. I completely trust them. Give them a shot!

They are a wealth of knowledge and I successfully implemented many of their suggestions. For example, a "softer" approach to the prong collar I was using, and better timing with the remote collar. I now realize I talk too much to my dog and should use more indirect, non-verbal "pressure" to communicate commands to my dog. Jose and Monique of JD Powerhouse offer a 6-week DIY Saturday afternoon basic obedience class. I enrolled to "refresh" my ability to "communicate with" or effectively handle my dog. I have participated in various obedience classes with my dog over the years, so my dog was somewhat trained. She's a 4-year-old, American Pit Bull Terrier, with no major behavior issues. Although, she did not like when other dogs barked at her (or me) and would react for short bursts until they passed us on our daily walks. Since my dog is a 70-pound, square-headed, somewhat muscular dog, she appeared the aggressor. Jose and Monique increased my confidence and ability to maintain quiet control of my dog during our neighborhood walks. As always, I needed the training, not my dog

What I really appreciate in addition to their expertise, clear direction and upfront approach is that they didn't sell me on what I didn't need. José made it clear very quickly that it would not be the best use of money to board and train my dog, Piper. Instead, he offered me a customized package that would maximize the training and my money. That's badass. I have gone to other evaluations where trainers were trying to scare me into pick the most expensive package by over inflating the concerns I had. I left those feeling overwhelmed both by the price and by the evaluation itself. That is NOT the experience I had with José and Monique and it made the decision to choose them so easy. I highly recommend JD's Powerhouse K9 Bootcamp because you can trust that José and Monique truly care about helping you to be the best owner you can so your dog can trust you and be their best. I am quickly gaining confidence and I can see Piper is too. Also, as a side note, they are amazing humans. They do great work work shelter dogs and I know I've found my training home. Thank you so much to José, Monique and the rest of JD's Powerhouse K9 Bootcamp. You are the BEST!!!
