The first thing I would want someone to know about Kris and the Leave the Leash program is their high level of professionalism. This is not always the case with a small business. They go beyond expectations and really strive to see that every dog is successful in their program. I wanted to find a training class for my dog when she was a puppy. While out for a walk with her last summer at a local park, I came across a dog class and was amazed at the level of obedience of the large group of canines. There must have been about 30 dogs and they were all very attentive to the commands of their owners. I have had dogs my entire life and have taken them to dog obedience training through other channels, but never have I seen this level of organized training. I signed my Welsh Terrier up to their four day jump start program which included a year of group training offered 5 times a week at various parks around Corona. This training began with a minimum of four days at my home with a trainer for my dog and myself. During this time, the trainer taught basic obedience to my dog and I so that we could successfully join the group classes. I recall it taking about six one-on-one sessions before they graduated us to group class. Group class is where your dog's training becomes habit with constant repetition in the face of distraction. Group class provides a dynamic setting from class to class with different dogs, parks, and training routine. Typical group class includes about twenty dogs; however, I've seen it with only four dogs and as large as thirty-nine. You are free to go as often or as little as you like. They rotate group class to about seven different parks around the Corona area. Nobody would believe now that my Welsh Terrier was afraid of other dogs before she started the class. She was progressing so well that I signed up my Mini Schnauzer. I would recommend any interested person to come view a group class before signing up. It is impressive! read more

I got my dog, Ollie right before the pandemic hit so his window of socialization was spent in lockdown. We didn't see other people or go anywhere. When things started to open up, a neighbor's German Shepard attacked and tried to kill him during one of our walks. Unsurprisingly, Ollie developed dog and people issues. I enrolled Ollie in training classes at the two big-name pet stores hoping to get him past his issues. We did the beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes at both places. In the end, he knew "sit" and "down" very well but his issues remained. My family is so grateful to all the trainers at Leash the Leash! We enter the 8 Day Jumpstart program with an excited and destructive 6month old Husky who had already eaten most of our son's trampoline, a large portion of our couch, a chunk of an ottoman, and a post out of a baby gate...along with countless smaller 'surprises' - we thought our furniture, shoes, and son's toys would never be safe. We are so happy with the results we have seen! I am now going to the group classes and have so much fun, while creating an even better bond with our pup and helpIng him grow more confident in all types of different scenarios. I like that they offer plans that fall within various budgets. Being between cases, I'm limited on funds so chose the basic training for both of my Huskies, Kobe and Kairi. The first session was so-so, and I say that only because we tried doing a snack-reward training, which does not work on Kobe. However, after the 2nd and 3rd sessions, Kobe showed so much improvement. He learned to place AND STAY in place! He listens to the come command now, which was always a hit or miss with him. Kairi, she has always been good at listening, but she DIGS and jumps on my guests. Zach gave me a wonderful idea on keeping an eye on her while she's outdoors by placing a camera where the blind spots are in the back yard. Oh my gosh! I know it may sound like a simple solution, but I never thought of it and now Kairi has not bothered with digging where the sprinklers are. She still needs work, and I'm not saying my kids are angels now, they're not. I'm just amazed at how much three little sessions helped me change them. I'm continuing the steps/instructions Zach provided me, but once I begin making money again, I will definitely call them to take my kids' training to the next level. read more

Leave The Leash is a great organization. I signed up both of my dogs, Delta and Leo. They have been patiently waiting for one to recover from an injury and have taken care of my other one. Prices are reasonable and even offer payments which is what we have been doing. Zack and Mackenzie have made a great impression on me, proving their level of experience in this field, letting me know i made the right decision going with them over any other company. They are busy with other clients so you have to understand that they will not be on an immediate response schedule 24/7 but will get back to you as fast as possible. Their one-on-one classes do run a little short from 45 minutes to an hour once a week so it can seem like it will take a while for your dog to reach the level of discipline you would like but they also offer group classes regularly to compensate. I am currently Halfway through my training and will provide a second and final review at the time of completion, but for now 5 Stars and would not change my mind should i have the chance. read more

Zack and MacKenzie are by far the most professional, compassionate and fair training team I've worked with. My Aussie is 7 yrs old and I started training when he was about 8 months old. Zak had my newly rescued dog under control within the first lesson. I was near returning Jack due to his being uncontrollable during walks and extremely excitable if he even saw another dog. Now that I have learnt how to control Jack, walks are pleasant. We have worked on continued barking and lunging when someone is at the door. Leave the leash trained out big dogs (American bulldog, and old English bulldog). I was afraid to walk them by myself because they are both so strong.
