Shane was sent to me through AHS home warranty to repair my central air system. He was great! He…read morehad mapped out exactly what I needed and I expected him to return to complete the repair. Unfortunately, AHS decided that Salcido would do the repair. They were okay but weren't as communicative as Shane had been as far as telling me what was going on and how things would be fixed. Salcido finished the job - using a different thermostat than what Shane had installed during his initial visit. The A/C worked so no problem - except it kept switching on and off on auto mode. I thought that the thermostat was more sensitive or something so I didn't pay much attention. Then I got my electric bill and about had heart failure. It was huge! It was nearly double what it had been for the same month during the previous year. Thankfully, I had saved the thermostat that Shane had initially installed and put it back on. No more on and off cycling and no more huge bills! I definitely wish Shane had been allowed to do the entire project. As I write this, it's now three years later and the heat is out. I've done all I know to do and have submitted a claim through AHS again and got the message that Shane will be contacting me for the repair within 24 hours. I will be crossing my fingers that he gets to handle the entire project!

I responded to the text stating in writing that I was calling to have our fireplace serviced. 24 hours later, I received a return call. Again, I explained I was looking to have our fireplace serviced and explained in further detail that it was installed 5 years ago and had not been cleaned since installation. I stated additionally, we were noticing that there was an odor that did not seem familiar to us. Brandon asked a few questions about the odor and I suggested it may not be an issue but we would like it serviced and possibly the odor may have been because it just needed to be cleaned. We discussed pricing, I agreed to the service call cost and the additional trip charge from Wenatchee to Chelan to have our fireplace serviced. I let him know that it was a corner, glass unit and that he would need suction cups to remove the two glass panels that it had. Brandon assured me that he was a fireplace specialist. Fast forward to the day of the service call. I received a text stating he was early and I made arrangements for access into the home. I didn't hear back from him so I reached out asking if there were any questions and he said no. I asked further about the servicing and he informed me that there was no service notes to be had on his end and that this trip was simply a leak detection! I then forwarded Brandon my original request I made "in writing" to have the fireplace serviced and reminded him of our conversation. He responded that he was not conducting one but could discuss the different options for an additional service call further if I wanted! Needless to say, I am being invoiced $317.00 for someone to drive from Wenatchee to Chelan to bring a gas meter detector that I could have purchased myself at Home depot for a hundred dollars! I find it hard to believe that leak detection would take an hour and a half and if it did, why wasn't the unit serviced during that period? After this experience, I checked the BBB and the business has an F rating for Failure to have a required competency license.

Spent much longer than 20 minutes unlike the previous maintenance person from a different HVAC company. The cost was very reasonable even though i didn't use the fall or spring discounts. That's when i should have done it but be that as it may it was well worth the visit. He even checked to make sure the drain line was not clogged, again, something the previous maintenance person failed to do. I have a Carrier heat pump and CW HVAC services all brands which is a relief so you don't have to commit to the company that installed the system new. Great Job Jessie. Thanks for your expertise.
