I cannot believe the negative reviews on this camp ground, we showed up on a busy Thursday and there was a line of trailers waiting to check in. The 2 ladies checking people in were extremely nice and quickly got everyone checked in and pointed in the right direction to their sites. The bathrooms and common areas are all clean and every employee I've seen has been very nice and made sure to ask if we need anything. There is endless things to do for family's, plenty of trails to walk around and a high fenced dog park with agility equipment for the dogs to play. I will 100% be coming back and recommending thousand trails Leavenworth to anyone looking for a place to camp read more

Probably the worst camp ground I have been to. Just a dusty mess and everyone just drives themselves around the dusty roads. It's a constant stream of trucks and cars down the dusty roads all day everyday. Mosquitoes everywhere. Bathrooms are old and rundown. Definitely will not be returning. Didn't have enough water pressure to use my sink or toilet. If I paid for a membership, I would be extremely disappointed. The sites are super jammed in and close together zero privacy except for a handful of spots. I got one of the sites right in the front entrance. It's like putting your trailer next to a busy intersection in downtown Seattle on gravel roads. .... All the amenities are super rundown but the pool is maintained well. They just randomly assign you a spot. Lots of grumpy old people upset kids are riding bikes around the loops. We stayed 3 nights. I can believe how close some of the camp sites are like open up your awning into the bar of someone's trailer. Long story short it was way too expensive, and I will never be recommending or returning! read more

My parents, grandad, and I shared one of the tiny homes (on wheels) at Thousand Trails Leavenworth RV Campground in the summer of 2017 during one of our family reunions in the area. There were a handful of tiny homes available for rent as well as a number of neighboring/nearby campsites and RV spots that the family utilized. Checking in was straightforward and the workers we interacted with during our multi-day stay were friendly. There is a pond/lake to frolic in that my sister's dog enjoyed. Walking around the campground was a nice way to get some movement in and see what wildlife and vegetation call the campground home. For the family reunions we typically have somewhere between 30-100 people show up, so it can be hard to find a place with enough availability for all of us. With advance reservations we were able to fit here. One of the activities we enjoy at the reunions is cooking together, with a few of the family members cooking breakfast and dinner for everyone each day. We were able to set up tents for cooking in an open space by the tiny houses we had rented out and were fortunate to not be repeatedly pestered by other campers inquiring about the food. There was space for folding/camping chairs as well as tables. Turned out to be quality family time not only during meal time, but also when socializing throughout the day. The tiny house we stayed in was cozy. My mom and I slept in the loft upstairs, which was not tall enough to stand up in. We shared one bathroom and one kitchenette. Made for some cramped quarters memories. All around a fun and memorable experience. read more

We started off on a poor note - it was hot, humid, full of mosquitos - absolutely nothing within the control of the park. They are in the process of upgrading the electric services,so there were 30+ sites without power,making it a challenge to find a good site. We finally just picked a site, realizing too late that there was no shade until after 7:00 pm, and the entire site was just dirt, no gravel. The park rangers and staff were very helpful, and the grounds are beautiful with lots of amenities for families. The miniature golf course looked newly renovated and the pool was popular. Lots of trails. Two lodges and a store. This campground has lots of dust and many people ignore the 5mph limits making it difficult to eat/drink anything outside if there is any kind of wind blowing. On our second day, we relocated to a shadier spot with more gravel. And it was cooler with fewer bugs. Much nicer! PS - they have a great assortment of rentals - tiny house at the lake loop, cabins and cottages of different sizes. Gonna check those out. read more

We actually had the entry pole come down on our motor home while were waiting to enter behind another camper. Luckily, it didn't do any damage. When we were eventually settled in our site, we found that the power pole would not work and we had to run our generator for three hours to get air conditioning. Our friend plugged his electric into it to check and it was definitely a fault with the pole. We went to the office the following morning and complained about these issues. However, Daniel didn't seem to be particularly bothered but said he would get a repair man to look at the power pole. The repair man never appeared but the power did work that evening. When we told Daniel, he had the nerve to suggest my husband hadn't plugged our electric lead in correctly!! It had worked perfectly in everyone of the other 10 campsites we visited on our 3,500 mile trip!! All in all, a terrible experience. We will not be staying at any of the Thousand Trail campsites in the future. read more

We went in the off-season so our experience will be different than some. They have limited full hook up but we were able to get one no problem since the park was not busy. (We were there early May) The water had just been turned back on so they have several water related issues that resulted in our water being off a few times. They warned us and we were able to fill our fresh tank and it wasn't an issue. The setting was tranquil and lovely. Lake Wenatchee and the town of Leavenworth were fun outings. The staff was friendly and great! A huge plus in my book! Sites were varied but many easy to get into. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the mosquitoes. read more

This was my 3rd time here at this destination (had a great time previously) and the bathrooms at the lakeview area were to be remodeled. Unfortunately the new remodeled #5 bathrooms were dirty, no soap or toilet paper. The mens room was especially dirty w what looked and smelled like crap on the floor. Im sure other campers here at this time had the bathrooms ruin a bit of the experience. They were never cleaned the 4days 3nights here. We will not be returning anytime soon. You can tell that this place really takes pride in their park. They were doing post winter cleanup of certain areas to get it ready for the busy summer season. They are upgrading electric in parts of the park which is great to see. We stayed in a cabin for this past stay and it was CLEAN, I mean no dust to be found. The manager Casey is really trying to keep this park nice or improve this park. We'll definitely be back. read more

LOVE THIS CAMP GROUND!! If you are tent camping they have spacious amazing campsites that each come with your own fire pit, picnic bench and grate to cook food! The bathrooms are what really impressed me though. I was so nervous to shower and get ready in gross campground bathroom but it seriously brought a tear to my eye when I stepped in the bathroom for the first time! Eco friendly lighting, smelled great and clean. CLEAN SHOWERS and great mirrors! Even a full length one!! You can tell they really care about cleanliness! For 30$ a night you can't beat this location and the campsites. Driving up to 1000 trails we saw many campsites where people were camping basically on top of each other so I was so excited when we got here and I saw our choices. Love this place can't wait to visit their many other campgrounds!!!! read more

We waited 20 minutes at the gate to check in and when we finally did we were given a map and told find a site. We drove around for 30 min. trying to find something suitable. Sites were small and right next to others. They were very poorly laid out, most too small for a 26 ft travel trailer and not at all level. Most were over grown with weeds and tables and fire pits scattered all over the place. The tables were in very poor condition. Water and electric outlet rarely matched the trailers position. It has a nice swimming pool but I can't think of anything else that was even OK. It was high priced, about $60 a night with no sewer hook ups. Those were reserved for "members only". Try Lake Wenatchee State Park on the lake that is only 2 miles away. It was water and electric for a fraction of the cost. Their sites are beautifully laid out and paved roads keep the dust down. At Thousand Trails everything is covered in a thick cover of dust. Also, we had some items shipped to the park since we were on a two month cross-country trip. When we arrived we were informed that they would not receive packages. We informed them that we were not aware of this restriction and they would arrive the next day. The manager said we would need to stand at the main gate all day and wait for the UPS truck as he would refuse to receive it. Since we were going to be gone all day we begged an employee to receive and hold it for us. This person agreed but missed the delivery and sure enough the manager refused delivery of my meds. Other RV parks have been only to pleased to help in this way but not this place. There is zero customer concern at Thousand Trails. read more

This campground has such great potential, but is poorly managed. There seems to be limited maintenance. Everything is run down and overgrown. We paid around $30 more per night for a campsite than you would at a state park simply because they had a pool. When we got there, they informed us the pool was closed due to chlorine issues. We had plans to spend a large portion of our time in the pool, and were disappointed. Sitting around the campsite wasn't an eppealing option either because the dust and bugs are thick and you're almost directly on top of your neighbors with little to no privacy. The mini golf course was covered in pine needles making it unplayable, the courts were run down and children's program was a joke. We were thinking of a possible membership here but will not consider staying at a Thousand Trails campground anymore due to the high prices and low quality. read more

Informed a welcome center staff member named Linda during check-in that we needed a full hookup site. She mysteriously sent us on a wild goose chase to several 50 amp sites with no sewer. What in the world? We'll read the map more carefully next time! Luckily we ended up in the Meadow View section at site #161. The site was cramped but the one next to us had no power, so that was where we parked our tow car. This campground currently has a lot of sites with no power but they are clearly marked as such. We were shocked by the amount of dust everywhere. Your vehicles will be totally covered in no time. On a positive note, there are over 5 miles of excellent hiking/biking trails. Some of the outer trails go in weird directions. I recommend bringing your phone as Google Maps definitely saved us from getting lost. The area surrounding the campground is beautiful and it's a relatively short 17 mile drive to Leavenworth. There are also lots of large trees so the shade was nice. Blazing fast excellent free wifi at Osprey Lodge. There is also a large pool but it is not heated. No optional paid wifi available for purchase at the sites. My AT&T phone had 2 bars at the site and my wife's Verizon phone had 3 bars. 24 hour laundry was decent but a bit pricey at $2.25 to wash or dry. Free DVDs are available for checkout at the welcome center. No recycling bins available. Lake Wenatchee is 15 minutes away and we highly recommend it. read more

This campground appears to offer so much for its visitors, but it also appears to have fallen into serious disrepair. Roads have potholes all over, and the camp areas are close to being taken over by the weeds. There's a big pool for everyone to cool off in during the summer, but the water is swampy. There's shuffleboard, basketball courts, tennis courts, frisbee golf, and mini-golf. But the courts haven't been surfaced in years, the frisbee golf grass hasn't been mowed all season so you almost can't see the baskets, and the mini-golf course is rotting apart. On the last evening we went to the office to buy wood and ice, and while the guy on duty fulfilled our requests, the whole time he complained about how he's the only one there and no one else is helping him. And honestly, that's what it appears is happening. The owners need to plug some serious money into this place and bring it back to someplace I'd want to revisit. read more

I've been camping at this resort for a number years. I only go once a year for a few days while I'm there for a race event. I am not a member but TT seems to be happy to take my money since the time I go is very slow anyway. This year we decided to meet some people who are actually TT members and camp with them. When I inquired during the reservation process I received a response from Trish that was less then friendly. She stated that members stay in members only areas and non members stay in non members only areas. If we wanted to join our friends we had to go through some complicated cancellation process (we know how those things go) and redo our reservations as guests of our friends. Trish was very short, to the point of almost being rude and snobish. Trish seems to be going out of her way to make this difficult for non-members. If her goal is to chase away future TT clients then she entirely succeed in this case. I attempted a response to TT customer service about this incident. After I went through the process of filling out a response form and writing a longish note I hit submit and was told that this url is not active. The frustration and irritation never ends with thousand trails. Other then the poor customer service the campground is nice. read more

This is a beautiful campground with plenty of amenities and staff is super friendly. Dusty. Be prepared. And mosquitos are a plenty. Bike trails and roads are bike friendly. As all Thousand Trails, you can't reserve a spot (unless you rent a yearly spot). Coming early (or at least before dark) is a very good idea! The one quirky thing about Leavenworth TT a lot of RV sites are only 20 amp. Or one site has power where adjacent site does not. If you have a splitter (hose or power) I recommend bringing. Our experience is everyone (campers) is super nice, friendly and helpful. Lot of kids and potential for weekend playmates. We will return. Ps: the pool is a bit chilly. Even on a hot day. I'm a elite thousand trails member, I've been to a lot of thousands trails campgrounds and I Love this one the most. It has a lot of hiking trails that my dogs love. They have great up keep of there sites (we watched them pour gravel AND put brand new fire pits. The view and landscape is gorgeous. The only negative thing is that jut has horrible reception (if you have Tmoblie good luck trying to find a signal) BUT that is not the campgrounds fault. I highly recommend staying here. read more

We had a great weekend at this location. Really friendly staff, they gave me a flower for mothers day :-). There is a fair amount of foliage between the sites and some of the sites are pretty good size. We were able to park our 30' trailer, F150 and a guest car in our site. Loved the trails! There is tons of exploring you can do. This park is super pet friendly. Bring deet, the mosquitoes are prevalent and very hungry. There is a marsh area in the back of the park near the sites that have hook-ups, you can hear the frogs all night-loved it. There is also a pond on the other side of the park. This place is very large. We had no problems finding a space, although there are several that have been reserved year round. There are several spaces where the electrical boxes are out of order. One of the maintenance workers said they are working on making corrections. The sewer was in the very back of our site and we did not have a hose long enough to reach, so we just used the clean-out on our way out. The lodge is great and the other guests were very friendly. The pool was not open yet but will be soon and looks really nice. Overall there is a ton to do in the park and I would not have gone to Leavenworth if it was not for our guests wanting to shop. We stayed in two hotel rooms that are part of the Thousands Trails Leavenworth RV Campground. WiFi is good and the staff was friendly but that's about all that was good besides the mountain location (providing being near the actual town of Leavenworth is important - that's actually a 25 minute drive away). We reserved a view room but didn't get one. Prices we're supposed to be $166 per night which they charge for the first night at the time of reservations for two nights when they were made in September but then they charged us $192 per night for the second night upon arrival in December. They have DirecTV included but, if you want to watch a DVD, they cost $3 each to rent. Luckily we brought our Amazon Firestick and Chromecast and their WiFi is fast enough to use them. Housekeeping was abysmal. None of the four beds had upper sheets; one didn't even have a blanket. One room's bathroom had four hair conditioners but no shampoo. We found sand and hair in one bed. There was only one waste can that the staff never emptied. They never changed towels or gave us fresh clean cups or coffee. The coffee pot leaked every time a cup was poured. One room never did get any teas. Heat lamps in the bathrooms had been replaced with compact florescent bulbs - not a good thing considering this is a winter snow destination. The refrigerator's freezer was so encrusted in ice and frost that its door was broken off. After checking in and inspecting our rooms, we mentioned the housekeeping issues to our check-in clerk, she said they had already fired the housekeeper and would resolve the issues but, they only resolved a couple of them before the first night. There was absolutely no housekeeping done after that during the entire stay. Soundproofing is practically nonexistent and doors are so loose that they rattle every time someone goes through a door in another room; half the time it sounded like someone was trying to get into our room. A crying baby in a room across the hall was so loud that it sounded like it was in our room and, kids were constantly screaming and running up and down the hall until past 10PM going in and out of another room that party had rented. The heater/AC was so loud that it drowned out the TV unless we turned it all the way up. It woke us up every time it came on during the night. When it was open, it blasts air in your face of your lying on the bed. That blast of air turns cold at the end of each cycle. Snowmobiles driving past the building were so loud that it seemed like the window was open. read more

Tent camping for the 1st with the family summer of 2014. Great experience! Rather than renting 2 hotel rooms for out traveling pack of 7, opted for camping & what a price! Was a beautiful sunset while being in the pool, got to pick our own camping spot which we picked near the camp entrance, easy access to restrooms, lounge, pool. The lounge was filled with activities for families including table tennis. Would definitely come back. Only downside is the drive is quite a ways from the tourist town, very windy road getting to the camp resort. read more

I had a 30' travel trailer and my observation place was not looking maintained run down, trees not trimmed so scraping on trailer, alot of 30/50 amp power not working, sites with no dump, very narrow roads. For car camping this was nearly perfect. Large level campsites, water and power to each site, good shade, fire pit and picnic table. What else could you want? The clubhouse and restrooms were clean and well maintained. The pool was large and looked new. The onsite mini golf was a bit rough, but proved to be amongst the most challenging we've ever played. While the disc golf course was nothing to rave about it was right there! They even had a movie night for the 13-15 year old crowd. Certainly not roughing it, but a very entertaining way to spend a couple of days in a tent (or RV) with the family. BTW, I'm not a 1000 Trails member. I paid $100 for three nights including all fees. While advertising things such as various recreational facilities, acceptable restrooms and showers, and Wi-Fi, this Thousand Trails campground disappoints with broken and dirty sporting equipment and courts, nonfunctional urinals, and spotty Wi-Fi which works only in the lodge and is seldom up to the average consumer's standards. On top of this, there is a widespread feeling of disregard for the general cleanliness and order of the grounds within this campground. When overviewing all of this and the fact that the dust is horrendous, I strongly recommend against staying at this campground. read more

We have been Thousand Trails members for over 25 years, and have seen a gradual but steady decline in the campgrounds, particularly after each change in ownership. At this 1000 Trails, the Adult Lodge, still listed as an amenity, is closed, with no evidence of opening any time soon. The pool, promised to open the week of June 24th, is nowhere near completion. The hot tub is closed. There is a general run-down look. The campsites are large and accommodating. The Family Lodge is large and clean. read more

We rented Tiny House Hanna in their new Tiny House Village, we were so excited to try something new and they looked so nice on the website. When we got there, we loved it! Everything was great until we climbed up into the loft to go to bed, the bed was full of little worm-like bugs. After killing about 10 of them, we packed up and asked for a refund. For $165/night, we weren't willing to put up with bugs in our bed. Really bummed, we were so looking forward to a cool tiny house experience. read more

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. It was very busy but the staff did a great job keeping the place clean and organized. I didn't watch the circus but it was a nice touch. There are two things I would change. It would be nice if we could reserve a specific spot. I don't like how it's entirely left to chance what spot you get upon arrival. I also think if there were a restaurant or food truck it'd be popular. Sometimes you don't feel like cooking and there are no restaurants nearby. read more

We've been visiting Thousand Trails for several years and have always had a great experience. It's very clean and well maintained, the staff is extremely friendly, and there is plenty to do. With putt-putt, basketball, tennis, volley ball, frisbee golf, a swimming pool, a game room and snack bar, we never run out of things to keep busy... or we just relax in the shade of the huge trees and read a book. They also have organized activities on the weekends, like hayrides, arts and crafts, and games/races for the kids. The also have an adult lodge for those days when we need to get away from the noise. Life is simpler here and a great escape from the rat race in Seattle. read more

The camp ground amenities sound good on paper, but they are not used much for various reasons. Even putt putt golf was never used. However, they have a baseball field and do supply baseball bats and helmets with bases. I did see guys playing basketball, not sure if that was provided but probably one available. They do have corn hole setup and provide bean bags to play. They have a large community hall that has ping pong, store, tv lounge and plenty of room to hang out and use the wifi. It is limited to that building only. The best for me was taking a bike ride to a really picturesque pasture. The downside for that is they have sign telling you it is a service road only and do not tell you of it. There are other trails that they do promote. The downside for this place is the most important: swimming pool is big, but dirty. The camp sites are not organized or properly marked. It's a hodge podge of random size sites. Some have water, some only electric, some none. The electric breaker blew so we were without power for a little while. Many sites the electricity does not work at all and they have signs throughout stating. One member said it has been that way for a couple years. Very dusty, but it is car camping. Another worst is the campsites water and electric locations. They are at the front of the sites entry and you cannot pull all the way into the site unless you have a 35' + water hose and electric cord. Limited use of. Parking for vehicle barely out of roadway. Sites are hit or miss in being level. We got lucky on the second night as we moved to another the next morning. I won't be back based on sites access. Trees are nice and at least you are not right in top of another camper provided you get there early and grab one on the outside of loops. read more

The majority of the member sites in this location are reserved year round, so it does make it very hard for members to find a site with 50amp, sewer and some privacy. We had a site up front of the property the first night, and the road was much closer than you think it is when you arrive at dusk... was noisy all night. We moved the next morning to a site at the back of the property, and it was great. We walked all the trails, followed the river, and really enjoyed the views and the nature surrounding us. Since it was November and this location is in the mountains the pool was closed for the season, of course... but the Rec Lodge is fabulous here! The downstairs is all geared for kids, with tons of activities and a storage room full of scooters, helmets, balls, bats, rackets... anything and everything any kid would need to be able to entertain themselves outdoors or inside. The upstairs has a few TVs, and it is noted that during Seahawks games those are reserved for the 12th Man! (LOVED THIS!).
