Kitchenette on the left, stairs to the loft on the right in the Adeline tiny house.

My parents, grandad, and I shared one of the tiny homes (on wheels) at Thousand Trails Leavenworth RV Campground in the summer of 2017 during one of our family reunions in the area. There were a handful of tiny homes available for rent as well as a number of neighboring/nearby campsites and RV spots that the family utilized. Checking in was straightforward and the workers we interacted with during our multi-day stay were friendly. There is a pond/lake to frolic in that my sister's dog enjoyed. Walking around the campground was a nice way to get some movement in and see what wildlife and vegetation call the campground home. For the family reunions we typically have somewhere between 30-100 people show up, so it can be hard to find a place with enough availability for all of us. With advance reservations we were able to fit here. One of the activities we enjoy at the reunions is cooking together, with a few of the family members cooking breakfast and dinner for everyone each day. We were able to set up tents for cooking in an open space by the tiny houses we had rented out and were fortunate to not be repeatedly pestered by other campers inquiring about the food. There was space for folding/camping chairs as well as tables. Turned out to be quality family time not only during meal time, but also when socializing throughout the day. The tiny house we stayed in was cozy. My mom and I slept in the loft upstairs, which was not tall enough to stand up in. We shared one bathroom and one kitchenette. Made for some cramped quarters memories. All around a fun and memorable experience.

Felt safe here. Tents and rvs spread out but not too far apart. Well taken care of camping sites and the bathroom/ shower was cleaner than I was expecting. Close to Wenatchee Lake definitely a good spot to visit when here!

Views on a walk through the park

We went in the off-season so our experience will be different than some. They have limited full hook up but we were able to get one no problem since the park was not busy. (We were there early May) The water had just been turned back on so they have several water related issues that resulted in our water being off a few times. They warned us and we were able to fill our fresh tank and it wasn't an issue. The setting was tranquil and lovely. Lake Wenatchee and the town of Leavenworth were fun outings. The staff was friendly and great! A huge plus in my book! Sites were varied but many easy to get into. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the mosquitoes.

Brown water in stall floor w misc paper

This was my 3rd time here at this destination (had a great time previously) and the bathrooms at the lakeview area were to be remodeled. Unfortunately the new remodeled #5 bathrooms were dirty, no soap or toilet paper. The mens room was especially dirty w what looked and smelled like crap on the floor. Im sure other campers here at this time had the bathrooms ruin a bit of the experience. They were never cleaned the 4days 3nights here. We will not be returning anytime soon. ( the good was the pool and miniature golf, clean campsite w power/water)

You can tell that this place really takes pride in their park. They were doing post winter cleanup of certain areas to get it ready for the busy summer season. They are upgrading electric in parts of the park which is great to see. We stayed in a cabin for this past stay and it was CLEAN, I mean no dust to be found. The manager Casey is really trying to keep this park nice or improve this park. We'll definitely be back.

LOVE THIS CAMP GROUND!! If you are tent camping they have spacious amazing campsites that each come with your own fire pit, picnic bench and grate to cook food! The bathrooms are what really impressed me though. I was so nervous to shower and get ready in gross campground bathroom but it seriously brought a tear to my eye when I stepped in the bathroom for the first time! Eco friendly lighting, smelled great and clean. CLEAN SHOWERS and great mirrors! Even a full length one!! You can tell they really care about cleanliness! For 30$ a night you can't beat this location and the campsites. Driving up to 1000 trails we saw many campsites where people were camping basically on top of each other so I was so excited when we got here and I saw our choices. Love this place can't wait to visit their many other campgrounds!!!!

Clean facilities| Great location to downtown…read more We rented a trailer and needed a place to stay that was not too far from amenities in Leavenworth. This was an excellent choice. This is a small little RV park and campground, but I love how the owners take excellent care of the place. One guy was always out planting and watering the plants and flowers. Another guy was literally cleaning the bathrooms several times in the day. The restrooms are nice and clean!! (Showers are available too here) The campsites are alright, but if you have preference and/or a group, I highly recommend getting the lots 31, 32, 33 area. Wow, more room, away from the main road, more trees, and a couple boulders to climb on. It looks bigger than the spot we had, which was spot 4, next to the restrooms. Firepits are very small, but we still used it to make s'mores. They also have a little enclosed basketball area. Sites 17-30 are basically next to the main road. You will hear the road noise, especially if you're camping in a tent, but I still like staying at this campground because there's not many other options for an RV park. Across the street is a gas station and Safeway. You're within a minute or two from downtown too. If you're into climbing, you're not that far from Icicle Creek climbing area either. We would stay here again with friends if we camped/rented a trailer again.

I'll give the pros and cons and you can decide for yourself…read more Pros Nice staff - we didn't care for the site we were assigned and they quickly gave us a much better site. Since the first site was in the middle of the lot in front of the store with no shade it wasn't hard to improve it. Clean restrooms - nice and clean facilities but usually crowded. 3 stalls and 3 showers in the one close to us was usually busy. Great store- open daily until 10pm is a nice convenience as well as having a Safeway 5 mins away. Activities for kids - if you have little ones they will love this place. They have daily activities for the kiddies as well as a pool and a path down to the river for a swim. There are basketball hoops, volleyball, playground and field to kick a ball. Proximity to town- very close to downtown Cons No space- they put a camp site in every nook and cranny they could. There are RV sites, tent sites, cabins all smashed together very close to one another. As well as in front of and behind. It felt like we were on top of each other. The roads throughout are one way and narrow so not enough room for a car to drive along side a walker or bike rider. 5 mph Too crowded- since there are so many sites and kid activities there are people and kids and dogs everywhere! We have a kid and 2 dogs so we get it but it just felt so cramped it was hard to relax. So depending on what you're looking for this may or may not be for you. If you want to get away from the busy city and want quiet nature time to spend with the family this isn't the place. If you want nonstop activities for the kids it is for you.

You can unwind quietly after a day of activity. After traveling around the country with our trailer I can confidently say this is one of my top choices to stay. This is my 2nd time here. The staff (Matt) was friendly and helpful. Helped us park and refilled our propane when we accidentally ran out. The laundry room has an app to use the machines. I really liked it because it notified me when my load was done and I didn't have to have a bunch of quarters. The bathroom was clean. It had toilets and showers. We used a fire stick for tv and our Netflix worked no problem. I hope to be back again!

Update.... After posting my review the staff contacted me…read moreand stated that the owners will refund me 40% of my reservation. I do not recommend Icicle River RV Park. They have a very strict cancellation policy, even when two active fires are affecting the area near their campground. The Three Queens Fire and Little Giant Fire caused the Air Quality Index to reach the 170-185 range, which is considered unhealthy for everyone. My husband has stage 4 cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. We had hoped the air quality would improve, but seven days before our scheduled arrival, we contacted the campground to explain our health concerns. The staff instructed me to send an email and include a letter from my husband's oncologist. I followed their instructions and provided the requested documentation. After several email exchanges, I was told our request would be forwarded to the owners and that we would receive their decision. It has now been more than a week, and I have yet to hear from them. Our reservation was for 10 nights and totaled more than $1,000. This was a vacation we were truly looking forward to, and canceling was not a decision we made lightly. We live in Los Angeles and had planned to travel through Washington, but given my husband's health and the unhealthy air quality--particularly in the area of this campground--his oncologist advised us not to make the trip. Every other campground we had reservations with was understanding of our circumstances and refunded our money after we explained the situation. Unfortunately, this campground has continued to ignore our request despite being provided with documentation from my husband's oncologist. We did not simply change our minds or decide we no longer wanted to go. We are following the medical advice of my husband's doctor because of his cancer and ongoing treatment. It is extremely disappointing that, under these circumstances, they would choose to keep more than $1,000 rather than show compassion and concern for a customer's health and safety. I also find their lack of transparency concerning. They pride themselves on being a longtime family-owned business, yet when I asked for the owners' names, no one would provide them. I also asked for the names of the employees I had been communicating with by phone and email, and they would not provide those either. I find that very unusual and an example of poor customer service. Based on the way our situation has been handled, the lack of communication, and the unwillingness to respond to a medically necessary cancellation request, I cannot recommend this campground.

We read the reviews online and called them to book our adventure. We were treated with kindness and respect from the time that we got there. We signed the requisite waivers and were told that the rapids head tamed down to class three which was very manageable and safe for the family. They outfit you with wet suits and boots and it's suggested that you bring your own hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Our guy took the time to get to know all the folks that were in our group and arranged us in the raft, according to our age and abilities. My son and his friend sat towards the back of the raft, which turned out to be the safest and driest location. After a short walk-through of expectations and paddling instruction, we got underway. Smooth sailing for the 1st mile or so, and then we hit our first group of rapids. The guy did an outstanding job of keeping us afloat and telling us which side to paddle aggressively, and which side to back off on. Throughout the day, this continued and we hit several more aggressive rapids that were challenging, but a lot of fun. Photographers are located throughout the course and will get some great pictures of your group as you head down the river. They are available for purchase at the end. Overall, a great experience and a great day with osprey rafting company. Highly recommended!
