The café was busy, but the service was friendly and the food arrived in generous portions. I ordered the half Belgian waffle with one egg, sausage, and bacon. Hubby went all in with an omelet, short stack, biscuits and gravy, plus a cinnamon roll to go! Everything was delicious, and we had plenty of leftovers. I even saved a few bites of breakfast meat for the fur babies to enjoy as a little treat when we got home. To our surprise, the café shares a building with a livestock auction, which is pretty freaking cool! We were secretly hoping to catch a live auction--or maybe spot Rip or Beth from Yellowstone--but apparently we came at the wrong time. We definitely plan to return when an auction is happening so we can get the full experience. Cattlemen's is it. How so? I took my wife there a couple of weeks ago and, when we returned this week, the waitress told us we could sit anywhere and when she came over with coffee, she remembered that we sat at the same table the last time. Not only that but when she asked what we were doing that day and we told her she remembered what we had told her a week and a half earlier. : 0 And the food. Their biscuits are the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Not only are they massive but they are flaky and moist (not the dry hockey pucks you get at other places). And their gravy is flavorful and a perfect pairing. Unlike the pasty mess at other places that will remain nameless. the eggs are perfectly cooked, the sign of a great cook, and the variety is sure to please anyone in your group. If you want a breakfast place that is like being in mom's kitchen but better, you need to get to Cattlemen's. You won't regret it.

I asked my server for to go packets of salt and pepper since I can't really use the communal salt and pepper shaker due to my new kidney. My server was great, grabbed me a couple packets and didn't treat me like I was weird for asking. My eggs were cooked med and jammy in the middle. My bacon was salty and savory. My coffee was fresh and hot. It's the perfect breakfast for me. My side of fruit was ok. The banana was pre cut so it looked kinda funky since it probably had been sitting for a bit. My orange and apple slices looked good. I did just have a couple orange slices. I have to be careful with produce and I didn't know if the apples were properly cleaned so I didn't want to risk it. The apple slices liked fresh and I'm pretty sure they were good. The venue is very cute and bright. I love the chalk artwork on the blackboard.
