Their Shwarma Rolls ($6.75 with beef, pomegranate, & labneh-a strained yogurt). Good, I just needed a tip more flavor with these. DELICIOUS. Their Fries ($6.50 with a garlic dip). The fries were fries, but dipped in that garlic dip...LIKE THAT!! STAMP!! Their Traditional Platter ($14.95 hummus, grape leaf, kibbeh-a beef stuffed pastry, falafel, baba ganoush-roasted eggplants, & tabule-a parsley, tomato , & onion salad). The eggplant was DELICIOUS, the salad, & hummus were STAMPED, the falafel, & grape leaf were DECENT, & the kibbeh was LIKE THAT!! STAMP!! Their Salmon Salad Bowl ($17 with crispy seasoned salmon, & a spring mix salad with feta cheese, lemon, & house dressing). Nicely flavored crisp salmon, with a hearty salad!! STAMP!! Adios LEBTAV, so long. Your customer service killed my appetite. I just got my last meal here today and won't be returning. I don't dine there, always order to go. I'm tired of LEBTAV making mistakes in my order, or leaving out items entirely. The last straw - today I ordered hommos to be included in a sandwich platter, and received rice instead. Not a one-time thing, these mistakes have happened often. On multiple orders I never received garlic sauce I requested. Also on multiple orders didn't receive pita bread that should have been included in my meal (according to the menu). This was a nice eatery un the corner of the shopping center to stop in for a quick, cheap, delicious dinner. They have counter service and a variety of seating (booths, high tables, but only the counter in the front window might be able to accommodate a wheelchair). The falafel salad was very filling and came with two hot loaves (I could only eat one, I was so full). Gender-nonspecific restrooms in the back. Free parking in the big lot. read more

I just died and went to heaven. I love middle eastern food and just discovered this LebTav. Their lentil soup is totally delicious- warm and nutritious with a tart kick from lemon. The cheese and spinach tarts are likewise very tasty. The mujadarah has a sweetness to it-different than other mujadarah's I have had. I like it. If you like garlic this is your place, their garlic sauce (so healthy for you) is so good you can't stop eating it on everything. Just make sure everyone else at the table is eating it too if you are sharing a car. Their pita is distinctive and yummy. Round out your meal with greens by having the nice tabouleh salad. Save room for a sweet finish of baklava-they have several varieties. Next time I will order a platter because I want to try everything they make. First time in, we always pass it on our way to a Torta or a chopt. We were greeted by a nice man, he explained the menu and we ordered..we tried a bit of everything and it was very good. Even the lentil soup was very tasty and I hate lentils! Nothing was overly salty and everything tasted fresh, they have a bar with condiments to spice up your plate. I was walking around DTSS and needed something to hold me over until my next appointment. I thought to myself what's the thing I love the most when I'm in the Middle East. The answer was undoubtedly hummus and pita bread. This was good for a drop in experience and the staff was overly pleasant. That's a good thing. They were preparing platters for a few catering events, but they took the time to get my food out immediately. My favorite part was the hot bread. It reminded me of being in Israel. I've came to this place twice before this last time and our food has been great. This last time, I was shocked when I opened my salmon bowl, a flat salmon, one tomato and one pickled turnip. It was a disaster bowl and they forgot the onions and the picked vegetables. I called to ask for the manager and the lady told me he wasn't in until Labor day. I have no idea what this was called is chicken , hummus and salad , i never had lebanese food before to compare with but i must say im disappointed :( The chicken was very dry so dry it was hard to swallow, the rice was okay but not spiced like the menu said it's actually no flavor at all, i guess and the salad was okay and the hummus tasted good so like i said i am not very happy with that chicken. One of my old favorites, Lebanese Taverna, recently shutdown in order to move to a new location within the same Congressional Plaza shopping center with a new name and concept; LebTav, a fast casual Lebanese restaurant. I will admit that I was somewhat apprehensive having heard that the Annapolis location recently made the same change with mixed results. Despite that I was in the mood for falafel and went in with an open mind and hungry stomach. If I have one take away it is that this is about cost cutting. The menu has been greatly reduced down to sandwiches, salads and bowls where you choose a protein (falafel or a meat) and a handful of mezze dishes. Gone is the halal roast chicken, various Lebanese entrees, alcohol and the large mezze platters that were great to share with a big group. Staff also feels greatly reduced with 4 people working a Friday night. They seemed a bit overwhelmed, less friendly and, despite the "fast casual" concept, I think service was possibly faster at the old place. To be fair, this is a new restaurant and they may just need time to adjust to the changes. The interior is nicely furnished though much more contemporary than the original. Unfortunately the cozy lighting of the old place has been replaced with sterile hospital style fluorescent squares. As for the food it tasted no different but the portions seemed smaller. I was especially disappointed with the size of the falafel sandwich considering what you get at Amsterdam Falafel or Oh Mama Grill for a similar price. Again, I have to ask if the change is all about lowering costs of operation. Overall I wasn't totally displeased, I would go back, a solid 3 stars for "A-ok". Still, I'm quite saddened to loose my full menu Lebanese restaurant, especially when there are already fast casual Mediterranean spots like Roti and Cava around. read more

They worked with me and my budget to create the perfect menu of copious hors d'oeuvres for 60 people at a large event my club was sponsoring. The food was delicious (as usual), and the service exceptional. They wound up including complimentary dishes, utensils, plates, etc., arrived ahead of schedule, and helped set up my party. ****1/31/2020**** 3.75 stars I've been craving tobouleh for the last few weeks. I've been to the full service Lebanese Taverna in Tysons Corner and DC but never have been to the "cafe" version. I ordered take out on a Friday afternoon around 3 pm. There were 3 people in the kitchen area. The lady that took my order was very nice and professional. I ordered a chicken schwarma bowl and a pick 5 platter: tobouleh, kibbeh, falafel, lebneh and spiced rice. Both the spiced rice and lebneh were new for me. Spiced rice isnt "spicy" but rather with warm spices and almonds. Lebneh is a little thick for my taste with a strong finish. I actually liked it better for part of my breakfast this morning. I enjoyed my pick 5 platter. I don't eat chicken but was told the chicken schwarma bowl "was good". Expressive, right!? Not. The pita-two pieces were fresh and puffy while the other two pieces were less fresh and a little hard for my taste. They have pub style tables, booths and a few stools in the back near the kitchen area. There was only one person ahead of me and the wait wasn't too long-less than 10 minutes. My first time going to this restaurant... Ordered the 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken Platter with Rice and Roasted Potatoes. Also got Chicken Samosas. Went here for lunch with my coworkers at around 12:20pm on a Friday afternoon. Let's say it was pretty packed! Parking was a hassle at the shopping center and finding a seat inside was a chore as well. But the food was very tasty! Really enjoyed eating lunch at this restaurant. Yum yum yum! I've been to this location a couple times now and have been nothing but pleased with the experience. I'm a girl who likes to try different places but when I find something that's good, I will be coming back for me and this definitely holds true with Lebanese Taverna. So I've never had Lebanese food before but when my friend who is authentic tells me this is the spot to go for food, I trust her. I always get the traditional platter and they give you a crap load of food. I don't know why I always get this just for myself because each time I do, I sit and wonder why I didnt split it with someone. Came with salty chicken & salty olives & salty feta cheese over nutritionless iceberg lettuce. Ugh! There are so many better lettuces that have some nutrition. The owner/manager/person who took our order was somewhat rude and uncompromising. My friend wanted 1/4 chicken but with 2 pieces of dark meat. Although I was disappointed about getting up early in the morning (330am), I could not stop thinking and where was I going to have lunch. First of all, I had never been in this restaurant. I have visited the chain of restaurants but never in this location. They hold, however, a very different style of serving. The other locations are a bit more fancier, better looking spaces. This one is a cafeteria style. You order to a cashier, and they call you or bring it to your table. The "crew" of the restaurant is all latino. Everybody, I believe, is from Salvador. They are completely bilingual, and they have the latino charm. My food was really delicious. I was planning to eat the lentils and the falafel but I couldn't. The portions are oversized; following the american traditions. The only thing that was missing was the recently prepared homemade pita bread. Although we had bread on our table, I do not think it was recently baked. In all, this restaurant has a very complete Lebanese-original-recipes menu. I have been eating Lebanese food all my life. I have been in Lebanon three times, so far, this restaurant has nothing to envy. Withal, I still prefer the classy chairs on a fancy mat kind of place. read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've had at any restaurant ever. First of all, we had a gift card for $25 dollars, we used $20 to pay for our food. I went back to buy an Ayran Yogurt drink and I tried to use the gift card I had and the cashier had an issue with the card, I don't know why it wasn't working. There was enough money on the card but every time she swiped the card it didn't take the card amount, even though there was enough money on the card. The cashier refused to be helpful and I ended up using my credit card. Second of all, the customer service was horrible and uninformed. We asked what other drinks they had, and the cashier would speak to us but speak so quietly that we couldn't even understand what she was saying. When our food arrived it was not hot at all, they managed to cook the meat in the shawarma until it was rubbery and flavourless, the salad was soggy and it looked like it had been sitting out all day waiting for it to be served, the chicken was dry and flavourless as well, and the grape leaves(dolmeh) were obviously opened "fresh" from the can!!! I originally looked forward to eating at this place because the name is so iconic sounding, but I was terribly let down and left without an appetite. You're better off taking your business elsewhere unless you want horrible service and even worse food!!! read more
