Best Filipino food in the area! My husband and I arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the staff were very welcoming and patient as we ordered. We shared the lumpia appetizer, and I had a calamansi tea to drink. The lumpia were so crispy and delicious! The crunch when you bite into the lumpia is perfection. The calamansi tea was refreshing and light; imagine a limeade version of an Arnold Palmer. We shared the Pampano Escabeche which is a full fish with a tangy vegetable mix on the bottom, and fruity pineapple salsa on top, and yummy garlicky rice on the side. I love a good whole fish and this exceeded my expectations. Wow!! The fish had a crispy skin and tender flesh inside, we couldn't stop eating it. My new go-to when I'm craving a whole fish again. To top it off, we ordered a halo halo to go and it was the best way to end the meal. The ice cream and pudding like toppings over a layer of shaved ice and then sweet chewy jellies at the bottom. Fantastic customer service and food! Portions are very good compared to price. This place was so good I had to go on back to back days during my short trip to Tacoma. Ian was very hospitable and genuine. Heck all three waiters were very nice! I had the lumpia, Pork Adobo, sisig, Lechon belly and turon with ube ice cream. My only complaint is the Turon was o my 1 piece cut in half. But other than that the food was fresh, hot and absolutely yummy! I travel the world and always look for Filipino food. What an incredible restaurant. The fusion of flavors is delicious. My family went for a birthday dinner and ate family style. We had five dishes for six people and food to spare. My favorite was the adobe with pork belly. The spices and umami flavors coupled with the pork were exceptional. The prices were a steal! Plus, the wait staff checked in when they needed to and made us feel like family. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed but with little hints of culture and decor. My family and I always love to go to Filipino restaurants while on trips. I have to say, this has got to be one of the best ones we've dropped by. The food was delightful. They come in big servings, so if you eat small, you can split it with friends or family. And the service was delightful! All the servers are so sweet. We ordered the palabok with crispy noodles and it did not disappoint. It did not skimp out on the ingredients and it made me really happy to eat it. The crew and staff are friendly and accommodating. It may take a little longer for your food to arrive but they serve chips and salsa while you wait for your main order to arrive. We tried the pancit palabok, ube pancakes, lumpia, and the ube coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious! The palabok was packed with flavor and felt so authentic, the lumpia was perfectly crisp, and the ube dishes were such a treat--the pancakes were fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the ube coffee was rich and unique. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and you can really taste the love put into the food. This restaurant opened recently as Filipino/Latino fusion. While they do offer both types of cuisine, only the Latino dishes were worth eating in my recent trip. The gambas al ajillo appetizer and pork carnitas tacos were flavorful and worth every penny, but unfortunately the lumpia we ordered was limp and greasy, and the pancit lacked any flavor whatsoever, it was just dry noodles with a few veggies, very dry pork belly, and a few shrimp. Service was a mixed bag. I asked for a bottled coke and got fountain and had to send it back. The pancit showed up before the appetizers or tacos. I may try them again after they have been open for a while, but probably just for the Latino dishes unless I hear from someone that their Filipino food has greatly improved. read more

I was so excited to try out this place because I'm Filipino myself and I love supporting and trying out other Filipino restaurants. However, I had a bad experience with the waitress that we had. 1) When she took our order, she completely dismissed my friend who sat in our table and only got drinks for me & my son. It seemed like she was in a rush, but unsure why she was because it wasn't that busy yet. But I just went over and kindly let her know that she didn't take my friend's drink order. 2) I had asked for a to go order and when she came over to our table, she was swinging it around with no care and the plate was sideways... 3) I gave her $60 cash and the rest she can charge it in my card. She either didn't bother to check how much cash was given to her and gave me a total of more than it should charge in my card OR she was trying to give herself a $40 tip.. IDK, but that was such a red flag to me because who doesn't count cash?? Thankfully another person took care of it and charge the right amount. I think she lacked paying attention to details and was just rushing things... It could've been a good experience bcos I really liked the food! But my experience with her just didn't sit right with me. read more

Small local establishment; it looked a little sketchy with its all black paint. Greeted upon entering and seated- friendly workers. Decor average. We were hungry when we arrived and the menu looked really appetizing with its food descriptions. We ordered a burrito especial but it's not as advertised- it is brisket or chicken; my husband ordered sauce on the side; the lechon belly and pancit and lumpia. The lumpia was pretty good it's the Shanghai version. Nice and crispy; the pan it was made with bihon and canton, the pork was really dry and "smelled" funny per my daughter; her lechon had a lemongrass seasoning which was off putting and the burrito meat looked like stew meat with parts instead of brisket. One star for service! Horrible, unorganized and totally lacking actual restaurant service. Had to ask for water, had to ask for refill, no one checked after food was delivered to ask how it was or if I needed anything. Some tables got chips and salsa some did not. Some tables had a water carafe some did not. Food kept getting delivered to wrong tables, some didn't even get what they ordered. Ambiance was one of confusion and no one knows what their job really was. It was like watching a Laurel and Hardy comedy routine! I know this is only their second day open so will give them the growing pains exemption, but the owner should have had this worked out more efficiently prior to opening with better trained staff. Waited over a half hour for the food. Now for the food I would give them a solid four stars on flavor and presentation! I will go back once they've had some time to get their service and speed of food delivery down to a more respectable quality and then re-review. read more
