Stopped here on a road trip from Ohio to Virginia with our vegetarian family of 8. We ordered the veggie pizza (with some customizations) and cheese pizza and both had a generous amount of toppings and cheese . Wonderful, honest staff who took time to understand our dietary restrictions. Added bonus, they self caught an error on the bill (that we would've overlooked) so we really appreciated the honesty. Great food- nice and hot. Very tasty pizza and great appetizers. I really like the cheese bread sticks, I recommend getting them- so good! The staff are attentive and friendly- we got drinks refilled as needed and were checked in on to see if everything was good. The ambiance is fine, definitely cozy in my opinion. This was my first time visiting Ledo's Pizza... I ordered the Ledo's Deluxe pizza.... by the time you reached the center of the pizza you needed a fork because the toppings were way to sloppy and heavy to hold the slice with your hand. Some pieces were not cut and not cut evenly. For me the sauce was a little watery but all in all I give the pizza 4 stars for taste. As for service, there's room for improvement. After our server brought our food she did return quite quickly and ask if everything was ok. However, she did not return for the reminder of the meal which was at least 30-40 mins. . We needed refills and they were not addressed as our "empties" were placed at the end of the table so it's not like she didn't see it. Boxes were brought at the exact time we were finished our meal and our check followed immediately. We were not asked if we needed anything else. We didn't even ask for refills as we felt rushed, paid the bill and left. I could see past this if the restaurant was really busy and short staffed but no on both accounts. However, one particular server was busy doing something other than her job. Not what I expected for my 1st visit from a restaurant that I've heard nothing but good things. read more

Staying at a local hotel and decided on a pepperoni square pizza from this restaurant. They have a thicker crust which I didn't mind at all because it was pretty tasty and the sauce as well. read more

I ordered over the phone. I arrived at the time they told me and waited for another HOUR. The toppings were wrong and the pizza was not cooked correctly. The girls behind the counter felt horrible. They offered to get the manager because they felt so bad - I never asked for a manager. An older blonde woman came over and was nasty from the minute she walked up - for no reason. I wasn't asking for anything - including to speak with her. She did nothing but tell me how nothing was wrong with my pizza, an hour wait after arriving 40 minutes after calling it in was an acceptable amount of time to cook a pizza and told me how I could finish cooking my pizza in the oven when I get home. Not the experience I'm used to with Ledos in Columbia and Laurel. I hope this is a one-off situation because I would really like to see the business succeed. read more

Ledo Pizza really came through when I ordered 18 different pizzas and 2 cheesy breads for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The Pizza Bar was a huge hit! The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! We kept in communication through email and phone calls. All of the food, and there was A LOT OF FOOD, was hot when we picked it up. Western Maryland fans of the classic Ledo's Restaurant that was a mainstay in Adelphi just below the University of Maryland have been hoping for this for a long time. The Ledo Pizza chain is a bit different than the original restaurant but their devotion to the original pizza is 100%. The LaVale location is undergoing it's soft opening, making sure their staff and food are where they need to be. Since this has started the restaurant has been packed starting in the late afternoon until closing. The building has been remodeled completely from its last use as a Pizza Hut and is really welcoming and comfortable. Tables and booths are well placed and despite a growing crowd the noise level was very low. Three TV sets are strategically located to keep folks current on the sports of the day. Extremely good use of space and well planned. It is impressive. The service for me today was perfect. I was greeted immediately and offered a choice of tables and the waitress took my drink order when I sat down. My pizza was cooked perfectly. The crust was light and flakey as all Ledo Pizza is meant to be, the toppings were overly generous and famously larger than average pizza toppings. The sauce was the famous Ledo sweet red sauce with their signature provolone cheese. In every way it met all of my expectations. My waitress stayed close and in touch and other staff were also friendly and solicitous making sure I had everything I wanted. As the restaurant filled my nearby neighbors seemed to be receiving the same good service. All in all I was extremely happy and look forward to returning - probably often. That said I am aware of another review from the 13th that was less than stellar. I'm sorry the reviewer had a bad experience - I would be equally frustrated if it had happened to me, but the staff seems to have come together and stepped up their game. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! The staff are amazing and so accommodating. My son needed a last minute place to have his 18th birthday because the place we had reserved, canceled giving us only 30 minutes notice. Ledo's set us up with our own seating area and allowed us to have a great party with great food!!!Thank you Ledo Pizza!! And thank you to the wonderful ladies that work there!!! read more
