I'm usually sensitive to anything with too much Old Bay because it can get salty fast, but these were probably the best Old Bay wings I've had. The Garlic Parmesan wings were good as well, though I would've preferred a seasoning or dry rub instead of just the sauce. The pizza was on par with other locations. Our server was personable and accommodating, and I appreciated that she let me split two flavors even though we were only ordering six wings. This establishment focuses on Maryland-style pizza (rectangular shape cut into squares, crispy cracker-like crust, sweeter sauce). They also have sandwiches, pastas and salads. I ordered a medium vegetable pizza (red onions, peppers and mushrooms) with spinach added. True to description this can easily feed 3 people. It came out on a cafeteria tray with a spatula, piping hot. Crust was the usual crispy texture, toppings were generous. Picked up Ledos for dinner. I usually go to the Germantown location but I was in the area of Montgomery Village. Got a basic large half cheese and half pepperoni . Got home and ate disappointment. I love Ledo Pizza. At least I used to. I went to the Ledo Pizza location in Montgomery Village and it has shaken my timbers about my pizza selection. Ledo Montgomery Village is not good, dirty, low quality and not worth the money. The waitress tried hard to be good, she really did. I do not fault her at all. But the pizza was sad, the ingredients were sparse and they lacked freshness. Plus the pizza was messy, not prepared nicely and even the sauce - the best reason to eat at Ledo IMHO - lacked seasoning and depth. I will not return to Ledo Pizza in Montgomery Village. I might return to Ledo Pizza's other locations at some time. But I need a sort of cooling down period before I return. Honestly one of the best pizzas I'll ever have. Maybe it's the nostalgia factor of having it for 30 years. Either way, the pizza is fantastic, simple, and always made right. The best combinations I've ever had are: Jalapeños and onions Jalapeños, pineapple, onions Jalapeños, onions, basil The basil has been a relatively new addition, but adds an amazing, sweet flavor. When it comes to wanting Ledos the Gaithersburg location is the best one, I actually drive out of my way just to come to this one location, food is always piping hot, always fresh, no matter what you decide to get, the service is amazing, they always answer the phone very politely and take time to help with your order, and you receive the same when in person. I'm typically a fan of Ledo's but not this one. For a to go order, I ordered ahead but when I arrived the pizza was already cold. Felt as if it had been sitting for at least 30 minutes before the pickup time. The amount of olives on the pizza was appreciated. The garlic sauce on the pizza was non existent. It's a more subtle flavor than the tomato sauce so more may need to be used. Ledo's can be good and hope it can remain better than some of the other chains. read more

Honestly, not a fan. I heard good things about Ledos and wanted to try it, but my experience at this location was a bit off putting. The place is relatively clean. Much cleaner than I expected. The wait area is quite small and with 4-5 people waiting for their order at a time, it can get crowded. There is a dine in option where the server mans the front and the dining room at the same time. The service is stretched then as to that aspect. So I ordered the wings, drinks, and a pizza. The wings were boneless and I got the jerk sauce. It was quite heavy on the sauce. Overly salted and heavy. Not really a fan of this dish, but for the price, I couldn't complain too much. The bread and butter is their pizza. It is a sweeter pizza than other chains and they have their infamous square cut pizza. I wished they actually cut the pizza. The lines were like lightly pressed lines and no cuts were actually made. I had to rip the pieces by hand and they got messy. I can see why some people like it as it had a more New York style taste and it was on the sweeter side. It reminded me instantly of some $1 slices around New York City. I personally was not a huge fan of it, but it did quench my appetite for "pizza". I still wished they would have cut the pizza so it would have been easier to eat. The drinks were regular fountain drinks. Nothing out of the ordinary. The taste isn't bad, it just isn't "weep with wonder" fantastic. What makes this place worth coming to over other pizza joints is really the community. I have been eating Ledo Pizza all of my life. I grew up a few miles from the original Adelphi location and I know what their product is supposed to taste like. This pizza is my family's absolute favorite but we made the mistake of going to the Montgomery Village location while on vacation. The pizza they are serving at this location is not like any other Ledo location. The crust is wrong and doughy, the sauce is almost non-existent, and the experience is somewhat like what I would imagine eating cardboard would taste like. After having tried Ledo's pizza for the first time at a Yelp event a few months ago, I figured I'd drop by one of these days to check them out again. And I'm so glad I did! I ordered a large pie (is it still a pie if it's a rectangle?) topped with mushroom and pepperoni and was told that it would be ready in about 30 minutes. It seemed like most other people had called in their order in advance and were picking up their orders. Note taken! After paying, I killed time in the area and checked back in a little early. Their estimate was accurate and it was ready and waiting at the original time quoted, no earlier, no later! Once I got home about 10-15 minutes later, the pizza was still nice and hot. This is a pretty unique pizza (besides it being in the shape of a parallelogram). It bears a slightly sweet tomato sauce with a strong Italian spice blend flavor. And the pepperoni is pretty good! It's not very oily, which is a good thing since it's sliced into little squares. If it were an oilier pepperoni, your fingers would be covered in grease. The crust isn't as thin as New York-style pizza, but it's a far far cry from being a Chicago-style deep dish. The slightly thicker crust lends itself to some nice crispness, which I really enjoyed. This also made it perfect for reheating in my toaster oven. The cheese isn't overly gooey or stringy, nor is it a big chunk that hardly has any elasticity to it. It sits right in that sweet spot of being just the right type of cheese for this type of pizza. I think it was a pretty good deal (paid $19.39), especially since my husband and I were able to eat it well into the following day. (Love pizza for breakfast!) I also signed up at the restaurant to receive their emails, which earned me a free small cheese pizza. Can't wait to get that email! I love Ledo Pizza. Today I was truly disappointed. I have newborns and have taken advantage of their curb side pick up in recent weeks. I called today, like I always do, to do a curbside pick up since my twins are only 4 months old and I was desperately hungry. The young man who answered the phone told me that they were "too busy" to do curb side pick up. I was confused. He told me I could go online and place my order but he couldn't take my curbside order over the phone because they were too busy to get my car and payment information. I work just down the street from this location, so I visit for pick-up often. The past three times I have ordered from here, something has been missing from my order. Now, it's never the main food or any food at all, it's normally been the sauces. The first time I ordered for pick up, I had asked for ranch dressing with my wings and was given blue cheese. The second time, I had ordered mozzarella sticks and was not given marinara sauce. The third time, I had ordered both wings and mozzarella sticks and was given the marinara sauce, but was not given any form of ranch OR blue cheese. We had been rather busy at work so I was not able to pick up my order until well after an hour after the order had been placed, which gave plenty of time to the staff to ensure that everything was in the bags/boxes. Considering I am still on the clock when I come to pick up the food, I do not always have time to check my order to ensure that all of my items are accounted for. I work retail, and when I come to pick up my food, I am usually leaving only one person to handle all of the customers we have at a busy shop, so I try not to take too long. The food is always delicious which is why I did not rate this restaurant lower, but if I have learned anything from past experiences, it is to take an extra two minutes to double-check my order and make sure that all of my side sauces are accounted for. read more

I came here on a Monday night and ordered a 18 inch pizza with my boyfriend. We arrived around 6:50PM and didn't get our pizza until almost an hour later at 7:45. Our server was very slow and did not come by often or refill water, but we saw other servers stop by nearby tables a lot more often. We ordered a custom pizza with meatballs, ham, and mushrooms which tasted good and ended up bringing back extra slices and underestimated the portion size. If you order the 18 inch, they come on 2 plastic trays stacked on top of each other. My husband doesn't like Ledo's. He also doesn't like Chipotle. Or eating until one is on the verge of vomiting. H'mmm...why did I marry him again? Oh right, he's adorable in so many other ways. But I have found that my husband is not alone in his disdain for Ledo's pizzas. Pizza, like fashion or men, is subjective. Everyone has their idea of what the perfect pizza looks and tastes like. For me - it's 100% all Ledo's. I love the ultra thin crust. And that they cut up the pieces into small squares (so I can eat more without feeling guilty or fat). And that the cheese to sauce to toppings ratio is just about perfect (for me). But hey, if you're not a fan of Ledo's pizza, you're not. Just like I'm not a huge fan of Papa John's, yet everyone else raves about them. Fortunately, there is more to Ledo's then just pizza. They have subs and wings and salads as well. I'll admit that I'm a little "eh" on their wings, as there seems to be a problem with consistency. Sometimes the wings are over done, other times they are perfect. Sometimes there is a lot of sauce, sometimes there is barely a coat. For me, this is the biggest problem - buffalo wing preference or pizza preference is a personal thing and rather hard to grade or judge, however inconsistent product is worrisome, as it means that there is quality control issues, which means that you'll never know what you're going to get. However even with the slight consistency issue (and it only seems to be with the buffalo wings, the pizzas are always dead on the same), I am still so extremely glad that I am finally close to a Ledo's! Especially one that has a very personable and prompt staff. I have dined in, as well as bought carry-out (there is no delivery), and always the staff has been polite, fast, and efficient. My wife is probably going to kill me for only giving Ledo's 3 stars. She's from the DC area and grew up with Ledo's and has been regaling me with stories of their awesomeness for years now. So, at her insistence, I decided to try them for myself since I'm living up here now. This particular location is in a strip mall. Setup wise, it reminds me of a lot of the pizzerias I grew up with in New York. The front area is for take out and there is a sit-down restaurant area to the side and back. For better or worse, that's where the similarities to NY pizzerias end. I walked in behind another customer who immediately went to the counter to pick up his order. Since I wanted to dine in, I waited next to the dining room. There was no sign saying "please seat yourself" or "please wait to be seated", so I decided I'd wait for someone to indicate either way. Well, I waited. And waited. And waited some more. The employee behind the counter saw me, but didn't actually say anything to me since he was busy chatting with his friend who had come in. The slightly overworked waitress walked right by me about half a dozen times also completely ignoring me. Finally, after about 5 minutes, the employee behind the desk tore himself away from his gripping conversation with his friend and told me that I could just seat myself wherever. From here, service was acceptable enough, though not particularly warm. Having been warned that their personal and small pizzas tend to burn or become too crispy, I decided to order a large pie and take home whatever I didn't eat for dinner then. Ledo's pizza is somewhere between a New York style and a St Louis style. It's cut like St Louis, but the crust thickness is between the two styles. I actually like St Louis style, but of course, prefer New York style. As one can expect, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. It wasn't a bad pizza, but I found the sauce to be a little bland and the weird hybrid-thickness pizza just didn't thrill me. It didn't have enough chew for my New York preference and it wasn't crispy enough for my St Louis preference. Next time, I'd try some of the entrees or subs instead. read more

For years, I've been meeting a friend here a couple of times annually for lunch. This Ledo's location is nicely managed and we always get cheerful, competent service. Just one criticism: today's small garden salad was almost inedible, so I left 80% of it. Recently Ledo's has started putting a green pepper ring on its little salad, which I find bizarre and don't touch. The blue cheese dressing (on the side) was gummy, nasty, cheap -- not at all what Ledo's used to serve -- and the salad itself was a bunch of mesclun mix. It used to be more iceberg and romaine. What a life saver!!! Any time you've got a skinny wallet, and even when you don't, you can count on Ledo's for a decent meal at a bargain price. This is definitely one of the nicer locations I've been to. They've got mood lighting, attentive wait staff, pretty artwork on the walls, and a nice color scheme... Very cozy, on the verge of warm and fuzzies. This should be an obvious go-to for everyone. On a side note, I tend to stick to soup, salad, and breadsticks or pizza, but thanks to the specials at the Wisteria Drive location, Stromboli special on Wednesdays, I've got a new favorite... Purchase one Stromboli and two beverages, and get a second Stromboli free. Personally, I can't think of a better way to spend $6.79, that leaves me and a friend more than satisfied. Once I got there, they showed me the pizza and of course it was mixed up. They offered to replace it but at that point I wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes for a new pizza. We also ordered a side salad and bread sticks. When the server tried to hand me the pizza without them, I reminded her I still wanted to rest of the order. She then said the bread sticks would be coming out shortly. So I waited another 5 minutes, and watched as a customer who had been waiting there forty minutes was rudely treated and told his pizza had already come out. Hint- if it came out, why was he still sitting there?? So then they ask me what I'm waiting on- I remind them- the bread sticks and salad. Oh- turns out the bread sticks had been sitting on the counter for the last fifteen minutes! Then I had to remind the server yet again we had also ordered a salad, which she finally remembered to take out of the fridge.
