So they ran a big promo announcing their 'new' larger subs and 1/2 price for Labor Day weekend, so I was curious. I usually only get pizza and salad at Paisano's, so I couldn't compare before and after. I also noticed they changed their online ordering interface b/c the old one sucked. It's better, but still not ideal BTW. Ordered a 'steak & cheese' and fries for lunch and it was ready when promised. When I get home I noticed the order of fries was pretty huge which corresponds to their $6 price. The sub looked pretty good, but not as 'stuffed' as the pics and promo ads online but of course, that's always a thing. I thought it had enough meat for the size of the roll, but I was thinking it could have been more. Taste wise, I thought it was pretty flavorful. The roll is also new and I really liked it. Soft and spongy and neutral enough to not overpower any sandwich. Would I pay $15 for this 'steak & cheese' in the future...probably. However... look at the picture of my wings. They have no breading! Is that normal?? The "wings" tasted fine, but the buffalo sauce I ordered had a greasy, spice-less flavor to them that left me wanting more- so much more that I actually just put my own buffalo sauce from my fridge on them. This review is of the tuna sub with side of fries. The sub is large (it is $12.99) and fries are $3.95. Sub comes with lettuce tomato and onion. I'm particular about my tuna. This tuna has a good flavor, plenty of it in the sandwich and not overly mayonnais-y. The fries are nice and crisp. They have a Burger King type texture/coating, which I'm not a big fan of, but my partner liked them a lot. The sub bread was very fresh and soft, with a nice chew. The counter person was very helpful and friendly. He saw us going over to the front counter to get ketchup packets for our fries, and immediately went to the back and brought out a squeeze bottle of ketchup, which he delivered with a smile. He also suggested I join the Paisano's club (the app) and promptly signed me up. The restaurant is comfortable, although the TV in the background was a bit loud. They have a soda machine with 6-8 choices. Free refills! The restaurant offers a lot of deals and specials, so you might want to check online before coming to see what specials are going on. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and Italian entrees. Next time I'm going to try the pizza. read more

I did thin crust but probably next time will go for the regular crust. The thin crust was a bit chewy / not crispy and just flat. Overall a repeat for neighborhood pizza. One issue is their web site first seemed to recognize our address, then said it didn't. We ordered from Uber Eats (cost a little extra) but it got delivered anyway by the restaurant. I don't know what changed to the margarita pizza recipe exactly, but it is not as good! Maybe the cheese has become expensive or something because the last 3 times we've ordered the margarita, our favorite, the whole pizza is drenched in thick red sauce with very little cheese. I placed a catering order for 40 people for a staff meeting this week. I had worked with Lydia, one of the managers, to place the order. She was very attentive in responding to my emails which is very important to me. She was also attentive to every detail. She was punctual with the delivery and came with all the paper products and food order. My only feedback would be to provide extra paper products. There was enough plates for the lunch but not enough for the desserts. I had to supply extra plates. Fortunately I had enough on hand. For lunch I ordered: boneless wings, salad with and without chicken, and lasagna. The wings were a hit. I wished the lasagna was warmer. The chafing set didn't work well and I felt the lasagna was room temperature. For dessert, we had brownies, an array of cookies, and cannolis. I didn't sample the cookies, but the cannolis were amazing! One of the best I've ever had. It was definitely the highlight of my lunch and my day. My colleagues enjoyed the wings and the desserts the most! I was surprised that there was still a whole pan of lasagna, salad, and two trays of desserts left untouched. Since I work in higher ed, I received a 20% discount. Apparently anyone who is employed in an educational institution can receive a 20% discount with an ID to verify it. We often do business with Paisano's due to the discounts. I give the customer service an A+. Food was good but it could have been better if the food was warmer. Some of the best pizza in the DMV! We order from them frequently. If you cherish a good crust, theirs is highly recommended, crunchy with a great chew to it. They have an impressive variety of fresh toppings, and not just the same old: gyro meat, fresh garlic, ricotta, spinach, you name it. And they're not stingy with the toppings either! The sauce is savory and not sickly sweet like some other pizza places I won't name but rhyme with Shmoppa Shmon's. Pretty much every time we order from them they have some sort of wallet-friendly promotion going on that offers significant savings. So as any Elite Yelper would I volunteered today as a Snow Driver for MedStar Health in Olney. They had called on me again this year to assist with transportation for Doctors and Nurses. My day took me to the Righttime Medical Care where Paisano's is located. Pete had a full staff of 13, four of which were drivers for deliveries in this inclement weather (some say we got eight inches of snow). The place was so busy it took them what seemed like 20 minutes for a simple order of twelve Garlic Knots and two of their signature marinara sauce for carry out. Smart, attentive and engaging - I spoke with five of the staff on shift. I was surprised to learn there are 40 locations up and down the East Coast. I live just outside of their delivery radius - Pete assured me they deliver to a rendezvous location for folks like me, how cool is that? Anyways, once home, we devoured ten of the twelve before I could snap this photo. Pete took the time to explain the "fish" symbol printed on the back of their menu. I'm a hair stylist in Downtown Crown. I stopped past to pick up an order on 1/1/24 for a coworker. She told me the name she put under the order. I asked for the order under her name given to the order taker. Immediately I was met with aggression from the manager. I gave the name again. Not once did he stop to take a look behind him where her order was sitting. Not only was he dismissive. He waved me away spoke over my head to take the customer behind me. The cashier was friendly and brought my order to the table I was sitting at instead of calling me up to the counter. Parking is plentiful in the large lot, but you might have to park a bit from the restaurant. My go to pizzas at Paisano's are the pepperoni and bacon cheeseburger (ground beef, bacon, and onions). Both are always topped with a generous amount of meat. I like how their dough has a little sweetness to it. Great quality ingredients for the price. I also get an order of wings (comes in 8, 16, or 24 pieces) with the hot sauce on the side. I find that if you have them tossed in the sauce, there is barely any on there (at least for the hot sauce). The hot sauce definitely has a kick to it! As a first time customer, I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza from their website. I didn't have to make an account to order my food and the interface was easy to use. When I picked up my pizza, there were about six employees (five in the back, one up front). The back five people were talking while one of them was making a pizza. The one up front was on the phone taking an order. I stood and waited for about five minutes before I was spoken to. The back employees never came up or said hi. When the front person finally hung up the phone call, I was given my order. The pizza was better than I thought. The sauce was delicious and so was the pepperoni. However it seemed kind of small for a medium pizza. For the price I paid I would have preferred more pizza. Maybe the quality is a trade off, I don't know. Will I be back? Depends on how far I feel like driving for food.
