I've been several times now and have never been disappointed with the food (ordered to go). From the pizza to the kabobs, to the pasta, everything is delicious. Musts here include the carnivore pizza (perfect for meat lovers), the chicken and koobideh combo (or get the family combo), and the penne ala vodka. Got takeaway from them and it was delicious! Got a 16" vegetable pizza and an order of spaghetti pomodoro. The pasta was a huge portion (can easily feed 2) with a savory tomato-based sauce infused with garlic, basil and olive oil. It was topped with melted mozzarella cheese. The pizza had a thin crust that got a thicket towards the edges and a good crisp. Held the sauce and toppings well. Cheese was not oily, plenty of vegetables in each bite. It had the typical onions, peppers, and mushrooms. It also had cubed zucchini and yellow squash, which is not common in most veggie pizzas. It added good crunch and texture. Pizza was filling but not heavy. Service was efficient and friendly. Comfort food at its best! read more

We had made a reservation in advance for a group of nearly 40 people, so the restaurant owner knew exactly how many guests to expect and had plenty of time to prepare. Unfortunately, the evening was extremely disorganized from beginning to end. The jazz band was scheduled to finish at 2030 hours., after which our host was supposed to begin our program and dinner was to be served buffet-style. However, the band did not leave as scheduled, and the restaurant owner did nothing to address the delay. They finally left around 2100 hours., forcing our entire group to wait another 30 minutes before our program could even begin. The situation became worse when it was time for dinner. The food was still not ready. We repeatedly asked about it, and the owner's explanation was that the chef had called in sick that day. While emergencies happen, a restaurant that has accepted a reservation for approximately 40 people should have a backup plan rather than leaving its guests waiting without a properly prepared meal. Around 2200 hours, the buffet was finally set up on a very small table, with only one container of each dish. Not surprisingly, some of us reached the buffet to find that there was little or nothing left. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for more food, and even then, not all of the original dishes were replenished. There were no regular servers attending to our group. Guests had to serve themselves, the plates were paper, and the cutlery was plastic. From what I observed, the owner and one other woman appeared to be handling the operation and collecting payments. What was particularly upsetting was the charge of $40 per person. Considering the long delays, insufficient amount of food, missing dishes, lack of table service, disposable plates and utensils, and overall lack of preparation, I do not believe the service and meal provided came close to justifying that price. I understand that unexpected staffing problems can occur, but accepting a reservation for nearly 40 people creates a responsibility to be adequately prepared or to arrange an alternative when something goes wrong. That did not happen here. Based on what we were charged compared with what we actually received, I left feeling that we had been seriously overcharged and treated unfairly. read more

We were here when the location was a sandwich shop. It's now an Italian-Persian restaurant. Opened about 8 months, they recently expanded their footprint so there is much more seating than before, as well as a stage for music and a belly dancer (who we missed by an hour during our Friday visit). It's a nice place. You order at the counter and then grab a seat in the same room or in the new dining area, which is very comfortable. We opted for an order of hummus, the Spicy Chicken Kabob and the Combo Chicken Kafta kabob. Each comes with rice and salad, but my partner opted for all salad. The hummus and pita were good, and, for $6, a nice portion. The owner also brought over a tray with minced olives, tzatziki and more pita. We enjoyed them both. The salad with the entrees was surprisingly a hit with both of us. Cold, crisp fresh salad with a tasty vinegrette. My rice was well prepared. The spicy chicken was not very spicy, but the owner asked if we wanted something to spice it further and brought over a cup of a jalapeño sauce that did the job. My chicken and kafta were both moist and flavorful. If you order water, they'll have you grab a bottle ($1.75) of cold water from the frig. We enjoyed the Persian side of things, but, based on pictures and a few reviews, I do want to come back and try some things from the Italian side. Everyone needs to give this place some love! It's a beautiful space with delicious food. It was VERY quiet for a Friday evening, but it was also ridiculously cold outside. You get bread with olive and yogurt spreads to start. Yes, please! I then got the beef stew, which was delicious and so comforting. My friend and I shared the chicken kebob, which was tender. She ordered a pasta dish with chicken. I was surprised that the chicken in her pasta was the same as the kebob, but zero complaints. It was delicious! We then split baklava and tiramisu. The baklava wasn't too sweet or sticky and had a nice crunch. The tiramisu was to die for if you like a denser cake. Think Boston cream but tiramisu. I was introduced to this restaurant for a friend's birthday party and it didn't disappoint. We all shared appetizers of Caprese, zucchini, blossoms, calamari, and bruschetta.. and it didn't stop there then we ordered from menus. I had lobster ravioli with Argentinian shrimp and Bersted cherry tomatoes.. absolutely lovely. The shrimps were big and sweet. The four ravioli was filled with luscious lobster and cheese.. the focaccia bread was drizzled with olive oil oil, sea salt and rosemary. Extremely delicious. I hear that this is the same dough that they use for their pizzas.. Friends ordered Cacio de Pepe, gnocchi with pears and Gorgonzola, TaliaTele, Bolognese, and tuna with Pasta. Johny and Carmine were absolutely fabulous hosts and even mama Lena stepped out of the kitchen to bid the birthday girl warm wishes. The employees are very nice but disorganized. We got our own napkins but had to ask for silverware after our order came out. The hummus needed more lemon and garlic and did not have any tahini in it. I give it a 3. The falafels were tasty but served with mayo instead of tahini. That was weird. Something about the dressing on the shirazi salad was strange but I ate it anyway. My friend loved her margherita pizza but the veggie pizza lacked flavor. The best part was we got to watch a world cup game on three large screens. It was a joyous atmosphere. I came across this new place thanks to our CM Andrew and was intrigued by a Persian/Italian restaurant. I went with a few guy friends to have dinner and it was a great experience! The menu is small and easy to decide. However some of the items on the online menu weren't on the menu in store. The restaurant is small so there isn't much seating but it is nice and cozy. You order at the front and the food is promptly brought out to you. We ordered a few items, including the Persian pizza, tahdig taco, kubideh wrap and margharita pizza. The pizzas were delicious and well flavored. I really loved the tahdig taco! Next time I will try the traditional Persian pizza that the owner told me about! Definitely worth checking out! Food was very good and well portioned. All the pizzas that are pictured are 10 inches they have a bigger size too. Fairly small inside, maybe 5-6 tables and the counter seating. Parking is next to the 7-11. You order by going to the cashier I think? Person never came to our table. We never got complimentary water and that seemed like it was for everyone too? Otherwise the experience was good. I highly recommend and will be coming back. I forgot you also get free pita and yogurt/olive dips to start, which were also fresh and delicious. Upon figuring out where and what to eat for lunch at work, one of my coworkers remembered seeing an instagram post from "The Moco Show" then he remembered them posting about a NEW spot called ITALIAMO! Italian & Persian Food Infusion - Wow! Such a different and unique twist and I was here to try it out. Looking at their menu online, there was so much options to choose from and great prices. We called & got all our questions answered, placed our orders and were informed that they just opened not even 2 weeks ago. This spot was easy to find and was near to a gas station. Beautiful, clean and pleasant place. Since this was a pickup order, I don't have that much to speak about inside since I didn't dine in. Customer Service was AMAZING!!!!!! I believe the guy I spoke with was the owner and he was truly a GEM!!! Even with a minor issue, he provided great communication and service with a huge smile. His energy was beautiful and I felt like I was visiting someone I already knew. Menus and online website is so beautiful and well done, they definitely have a great marketing team especially for a being a new spot. Finally, I got back to work and excited to eat my food. I didn't order much since I wasn't sure What to expect. TAHDIG SALMON TACOS OMGGGGGGGG!!!!! This was sooooo different, unique and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I'm not sure What the shell was made of but it wasn't your typical taco shell (semi crunchy & semi soft). Inside was a layered of saffron rice (the part that's crunchy at bottom of pot Mmmmm) along with lettuce, Persian pico de gallo (made with cucumbers) & grilled salmon chunks. It also came with sauces on the side. This was incredible and I'm mad I didn't order 2, if you get this please order at least 2 because even though it's filling, 1 isn't enough. I'm coming back for this sooner than later. I wanted to try the Rigatoni Alla Vodka but most definitely next time. I hope they come out with a dish that has both Italian and Persian food on 1 plate. Came here on a whim for their opening day. The menu was pretty diverse but I settled on the koobideh platter. The entree did not disappoint as it came with a good amount of food and was full of flavor. It also comes with a side of bread, the traditional white sauce and also a spicy green sauce upon request. Took my mom here for lunch today and we loved it! The exterior has 3 nice dining tables and the interior has about 8-10 tables. So I found out this place out from the Moco Food blogger page! I had to come try it because who doesn't like tadig, If you know about it come try it! The tadig taco concept was delicious with the beef and chicken kabobs! Seasoned nicely with the salad shirazi (cucumber tomato and onion salad) and the green chutney was tasty too. We ordered online and got ghormeh sabzi and a chicken tahdig taco to share. The menu is misleading as it says tahdig tacoS plural but you only get 1. It was overstuffed and impossible to eat as a taco. It would be better if it were less stuffed and put into two tacos. The ghormeh sabzi really hit the spot but could use more meat. There were only 3 chunks though overall it was a generous serving of the beans and greens and an even more generous serving of rice. Unfortunately I took a bite of the mast o khiyar (yogurt) without smelling it and it was SOUR. I will say that the girl who gave us our food had a really nice and friendly demeanor. read more

This is clearly a brand new restaurant that is still figuring things out. The menu offered at the restaurant is different from what's posted on the website. The ordering process was a bit confusing - you take a menu and decide what you want, then go up to the front to order, and pay before you get the food. We ordered the hummus appetizer, the spicy chicken pizza and the koobideh kabob. We received pita bread with tzatziki dip, but the server dropped it off at another customer's table before moving it to our table within a few minutes. We weren't sure if we were supposed to receive it or not. The hummus appetizer was good, but didn't come with much pita bread. We ended up using the pita bread from the tzatziki board for the hummus. The spicy chicken pizza and koobideh were decent. I'd try it again, but I would definitely give them a few months to get the kinks out. read more
