I've always been curious about what businesses were at the dome-shaped buildings. I was excited to finally enter one of the domes for two reasons. 1. Relief from neck/shoulder pain and 2. So I went a couple of times and staff is friendly. I have insurance and they asked me for a $40 co-payment. They said that after the first visit all other visits would only be a $20 co-payment. On my following visit, they asked me for a $40 co-payment and I explained that was not what had been said to me previously. They said they had no records suggesting that, and when I was ready to leave they changed their tune and said $20 dollars was fine from now on. I didn't like that bait n' switch move, not professional. I did my last session for the $20 and have not been back. Trust is a huge issue when your health is involved. read more

I have been to many chiropractors offices around Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange county due to chronic lower back pain and experienced short term relief. Dr. Lee and his wife Carol are some of the greatest people you'll ever meet. Enough said. Dr. Lee is one of the only chiropractors you will go to and get the job done immediately! Whereas, other chiropractors I've been to will continuously have you coming back meanwhile the pain persists. Not here! It's like a one stop shop! Unless you have scoliosis or chronic back pain. Then regular visits, like myself, are best. On top of it all, they're affordable! I've been going to Dome Chiropractic Center for 5 yrs now & I keep coming back! That says something! I have chronic back pain and will likely experience it for life due to a slight curvature of my spine. There are so many things I can say about this place! AMAZING WONDERFUL CARING SKILLFUL AWESOME and the list continues... but i think the best thing to say is that Dr. Ron M. Shefi who is the kick ass owner and practitioner of this place. His office is located in a quiet neighborhood hidden away like a treasure in his cute dome office. I pulled my back and I went to an acupuncture place/herbal place to get it fixed and it didnt work that well. The regular MD thought I could have some anti-inflammatory and physical therapy, but my herbal doctor recommended me to Dr. Shefi. He is the best. The first day I went, I already had dramatic results. I couldnt bend over, it hurt when i sat or walk or anything. But after the first day, I could walk, sit, bend over and SLEEP because so much of the pain went away, it become less of a pain more of just a soreness. After 4 times I am good to go and running jumping laughing. He really knows what he is doing, and he is so caring, like a loving father. And I think at a very fair price. Simply Lovely. Wish I could give a review of the doctors but didn't get past the front desk. After arguing about insurance policies, the lady at the front desk started raising her voice and getting emotional about our insurance policy over the phone. As I stood there waiting for her to finish the phone conversation, she told me she was shredding my paperwork and that she was canceling my appointment. I was quietly waiting there the entire time yet she canceled MY appointment because SHE was losing her temper. Disappointing service but happy I know to not go there in the future. read more

Last week I reinjured my lumbar to the point where I had to hold onto something in order for me to move. I had used this place in the past and they were great enough where if I needed them in a hurry, I was able to get services right away first thing in the morning. By Monday morning I was already in the massage room with ice and the TENS machine going for 20 mins. After Dr. Lee adjusted my neck and back, I couldn't believe that I was walking like normal but also somehow got rid of a majority of my sciatica symptoms that was lingering for weeks from my original injury. Come my second appointment today, I feel a lot better than I did before my original injury. DR. Lee looks like he is built like an NFL linebacker but don't let his size intimidate you. His technique is very gentle and won't force the issue if he can't get something to adjust. I am so grateful of his work that if I have to come back to Long Beach again for a visit to get my spine adjusted he would the first and only one I would depend on. read more

I had a fall that injured my knee. The pain was so bad that I was limping, couldn't drive for more than a couple of miles before I had to stop and stretch my knee by walking, and whimpered throughout sleepless nights. I went to my regular physician. He gave me pain meds (which did not work), and sent me to rehab (which helped a little). I was scheduled for a trip that included several hours of driving and I was desperately looking for help. Thank goodness, I found Dr. Lee! I made an appointment, was seen the same day, and met the most knowledgeable and professional chiropractor- EVER! Dr Lee carefully explained the probable causes for my pain, did a full adjustment while explaining each step, and gave me steps for aftercare. Most chiropractors crack it up and then pack it up, leaving you unsure of how to take better care of your spine--not here! I felt like the top priority at the time, instead of just another patient in a stream. Sanitation was a priority but without making me feel over or under concerned. I found Dr. Kenneth Lee and Carole via an offer on Living Social a few months ago. My neck had started locking up and I was having pain in my lower back. From the first visit I was sold. Dr. Lee went into detail reviewing my xrays with me and explaining what each thing was and meant. After my first visit I found out they take Kaiser medical insurance and so I started going twice a week. Carole always greets me with a small and friendly attitude. She works to get anyone who needs help in no matter what the schedule is like. Dr. Lee is great and my neck and back are in a lot better shape.
