Ordered the same items that I always order...for 4 years. One of the items is the Imperial, half white rice, half noodles, lemon chicken, wontons on the side. Suddenly I was told that there would be an upcharge of $1 because I did half rice half noodles. I have never been charged extra for this order....until the older lady started. She was rude and unfriendly to boot. Hope she quits. read more

We had lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, cream cheese puffs, egg rolls and chocolate covered fortune cookies. It was all fabulous! We just moved back to MN from AZ after many years so we didn't know exactly what to expect but we were so happy that the food and portions were just as good as they were before we left. The state needs to inspect this place. Sadly, I cannot recommend it. My beloved and I went in about 1 p.m. on Saturday (yesterday). I don't know how long the food had been sitting there, but the fried rice was hard and dry, and the chicken dishes we ordered (Peking Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Mongolian Chicken, and a Shrimp dish) were all soggy as if they had been sitting there under the heat lights far too long. The shrimp was fishy tasting. It was the single worst meal I've had at a restaurant in the past year. On top of that, the place was filthy - dirty tables, floors, and walls. Walking back to the restroom it looked like there was food residue on the walls. I'm just praying that neither of us gets sick from the food. I should have walked up, returned it, and demanded a refund. It was that bad. read more

Horrible, disgusting an employee sat to eat her food and proceeded to wipe the bowl clean with her finger and lick it repeatedly. Then she went on to sweep the carpet in front of the pop machine which was in direct line of where I was sitting, kicking God knows what into the air in my direction. When I complained and asked her to stop she continued her sweeping and gave me an attitude. This was on Monday 2/20/23. read more

Went here tonight. Egg rolls and cheese puffs were good however the fried rice was dry and tasted off. The bourbon chicken, which is my favorite dish, was awful. It was burnt and could not be eaten. Something was VERY wrong with this. This was inedible. So disappointing. read more

Ordered in today the Party of four and everything was not made fresh. Tofu was extremely chewy along with the orange chicken and it seemed to be refried. Spent too much money for very bad food. read more

Food was okay. Fried rice didn't have really any flavor. Sesame chicken had good flavor but was soggy. Nothing was hot - more like lukewarm. Cashier was a crabby rude woman (with "Mala" tattooed on her forearm. No tip for you. read more

The restaurant itself was slightly dirty: wrappers on floor by fountain drinks, the buffet display thing had sauce on the sides, and there was a bottle and some pills stashed by the ice cream machine, not sure why that was there. I ordered white rice and sweet and sour chicken- the rice and chicken were dry, chicken was overcooked. In my unnaturally brown "sweet and sour" sauce, there was a black piece of food. I came here in February 2017. The choices all sounded yummy....bourbon chicken, a 'Thai influenced' chicken and some others I have never eaten at this place but my family and I were hungry I asked for a sample of the 'thai' influenced chicken and it was tough, had absolutely no Thai flavors. I chose the bourbon chicken and beef with broccoli. I could not have what was being served because it was the last portion in the pan and looked burt. The server offered to have it freshly cooked. To cut a very long story short, the broccoli was stale. Similar to food that has been in the freezer for a long time. I was offered fried rice and noodles but was not told it was extra. I asked about it and the cook rudely pointed out the tiny fine print to me on the overhead menu. They did not care about the stale broccoli. Over all the food tasted like it left over from Friday's rush hour leftover's. (I visited on a Sunday). I will never be eating here again. Stale poorly cooked food, poor customer service. read more

Mixed bag review for this location. The people serving us were very nice. The food was okay, the trick is to get your entrée when it's fresh out of the kitchen. The counter people told us that food was fresh, but it was already cool by the time we got it back to the table, and cold long before we finished our entrées. One of the culprits is the ventilation system which blows a gale of cold air down on your food almost anywhere you sit in the restaurant. The silver lining: I found a piece of bone in my entrée, and they not only replaced the entree (with appropriate apologies), but they comped the entire bill. And, when we got home and had the leftovers the next day, there was another piece of bone in a different chicken entrée. Yikes! They may not have totally figured out all the angles of providing fresh, hot food, but they sure have the customer service thing down right. read more

I was not expecting anything other than "Americanized" Chinese food, but even with expectations set somewhat low, the food at Leeann Chin failed to impress. Lemon chicken was basically fried chicken tenders with lemon dipping sauce, and the sweet and sour pork was not up to par with most Chinese carry outs. The service was friendly and the frozen yogurt was good, which made up for the food a bit, but if you're looking for Chinese fast food, you may want to look into alternatives. read more

This is definitely NOT the Leeann Chin food that I remember from years ago. We arrived at 5:30 pm in hopes of getting fresh food (we had take out late one evening and it was awful). There were only 3 employees working, half of the entree options weren't even available, the food that was out looked old and unappetizing and we waited forever to be served because they didn't have enough staff. I ordered Orange Chicken because it had just been made but it really wasn't very good. Tiny pieces of chicken in overcooked sauce and the brown rice was dried out as well. The appetizers were cold and soggy and the Cracked Pepper Chicken that my fiancé ordered was nothing but celery and onions (the pieces of chicken were so small & scarce they're not worth mentioning). I can still remember the AWESOME restaurant that Leeann opened in the St Paul Depot many years ago. The food & service was FABULOUS! This Fast Food version of what she started is beyond a let down! Nothing special; fairly pricey. The items I had were fresh and decent though. Love their hot mustard. Service has as smile; they are quick. The portions to price are pretty steep for a fast food type place. read more
