Ill try and make this short. My wife and I were price shopping for mattresses and I reminded her that Leeds has some great prices , bought a mattress at Leeds in Woodland Hills about 20 years ago and we were in the Hawthorne area. I stopped by and noticed the sales person was helping another customer and decided to use the bathroom to wait until he was done. As soon as I closed the bathroom door, the sales person barges in claiming the bathroom was closed due to plumbing issues, no sign the bathroom was closed..even though the door was open and the light was on. He started yelling at me stating you are not using the bathroom in front of a customer! He then proceeded to take pictures of my car as I was driving off! I felt like a victim . Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere. I have never been treated like this! This why brick and mortar stores are losing business. Costco is great place to shop and treat their customers with respect! read more

How have I not written a review for Neil?! Gosh, I want to apologize because in all honesty? This is THE BEST service that I have received. I still smile when driving by because it was that rememberable. My husband and I were looking were for a mattress in our new home, as newlyweds. We went to a couple of places but I feel that the trend is some soft no spring kind of world. It just wasn't what we were looking for because to be honest, we need the support! So, we walked in one random day and Neil was just opening up shop. He apologized for the messy appearance but I can't say I was seeing what he saw. He gave us no pressure but tons of information on the variety of mattress. It was just us, he introduced himself and kind of let us just roam freely. We hopped from mattress to mattress. We knew what we wanted after spending some time in the shop but we didn't want to commit right away. After a couple of days, we were ready. We drove by but the store wasn't open yet. Thankfully to the number left on the door, Neil responded to my text. Now, it may not be the norm but we did a deal over the phone. He gave me an incredible and reasonable price that couldn't be beat. I mean, we looked at the mattresses at discount spots and even Costco or what not -- nothing compared to the quality and what just steered us to come back was the service. So without further adieu .. we purchased our mattress. I can't explain to you how amazing it is. It's been a wonderful four months of sleep. We recently went to visit some family and I couldn't wait to reunite with our bed. I recommend Neil. And I am even more happy to say that the product is top notch. Oh! And the delivery was good. They were quick, and careful to not do any damage while delivering to upstairs. He was very responsive and communicative to when he was coming, etc. Again, don't do anywhere else. Summary: I had a bad experience with Leeds and specifically with Neil. Poor customer service. Firstly, I was told by the salesperson of a return policy that apparently did not exist. We were told of a no hassle return policy as long as we didn't return it for the first 90 days. We bought a total of 3 beds (couple of twins and a queen mattress with the box and frames). The day I was supposed to receive my bed, I was given a call stating that the beds weren't ready and had to be postponed for another week. Being understanding, I didn't make a big deal out of it. Once the delivery guys arrived, after removing our beds and setting up 2 of the beds, the delivery guy said that the queen mattress didn't come with the frame. We were perplexed and shocked that the delivery guy was insisting that we didn't buy it. We mentioned that this is unacceptable and will not accept the delivery then. So now the delivery guy was upset and he made some calls to the owner and decided to get this resolved by taking the frame from another customers order to get this problem solved. So now about 6 months later, I didn't feel comfortable with one of the mattresses, so I made a call to Neil to see how to get a return facilitated. Rather than explaining the policy and in a professional manner. He was beyond rude and unprofessional by talking over me and ridiculing my claim of his sales people and what they stated. This was the final straw and now I am sharing my story and my poor experience with Leeds. read more

Leeds is fantastic! They beat the price I got from Sit and Sleep and the service at Leeds is fantastic. I don't know Jack about mattresses and they walked me through how to pick a proper fit and I couldn't be more happy. The store is really nice and clean and the staff were super nice and professional. Wanted to buy a full set with adjustable frame, but when I walked in, the only sales person on the floor was busy with a customer. I started to use the restroom, and the sales person yelled at me for not asking his permission to use the rest room. I was stunned. Total jerk. I wouldn't shop here if I were you. At least not without asking permission. If I could leave a minus review, I would. To top it off, when I said,"I didn't interrupt you because you were with a customer", and that, "I wanted to buy a mattress." he said," I don't care. You don't come in here without asking to use my bathroom!" I responded with, "then you just lost a sale!" he then said he didn't need it (the sale). Unbelievable. I left immediately. And just to keep the record straight, I never laid a hand on the salesman, and left without entering the bathroom. The implication in his comment that I damaged his bathroom is unfounded, and he was anything but kind to me. I purchased a mattress on Tuesday and had it delivered on Wednesday as promised. Neil was knowledgable while going through what's available on the market down to the difference in material. I enjoy when someone specializes and understands their craft. Delivery went well. Driver showed up on time and willing to work. I just don't like it, my back hurts. Did not work for me. My body made deep whole in the mattress in few months. I have another mattress that my son sleeps on. Sometimes I sleep there too. I bought this matters 6 months earlier than Leeds mattress. And that matters is in perfect condition and I payed much less for it too. Wow worst customer service I have ever experienced . I came in with my mother today to buy her a new mattress. The very first question she had was if there were any specials on the mattress. The sales associate( who we later found out is the owner) replied by calling my mother cheap and started calling her a sinner and degrading her. I was ready to beat him senseless but my mother said it wasn't worth it. We were way overdue for a new mattress and I remembered Neil's advertisements from years ago. I looked him up on the Internet and went to pay his store a visit on fourth of July weekend with my wife. My previous experience buying a mattress from a well known local retailer had been less than satisfying. I explained to Neil that my wife was having a problem with neck pain and that we suspected that the old mattress could be a part of the problem. Neil spent a lot of time with us and was truly interested in helping us to find the right mattress at a price we could afford. I tried several mattresses starting at the lower end and working my way up to the higher end mattresses. Neil explained to me the differences between each of the mattresses and how they were manufactured. Neil arranged to have the new bed delivered and the old bed removed for recycling which made the whole process painless and easy. Dealing with Neil was like meeting a new best friend. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, honest and gave us a great deal. After a few weeks of sleeping on the new bed my wife's neck had markedly improved and we love our new mattress and box spring set. If you're like me and appreciate quality customer service like it used to be, this is the only place you need to go for mattress shopping. I know how daunting buying a mattress is, IT SUCKS! So many brands, gimmicks, prices etc. I came to Neil after buying not one, not two, but three mattresses from Sears in the space of a few months. EVERY one caused severe back pain (and I'm a young fit woman). Sears also has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They kept charging me all these bs fees every time I exchanged. I ended up being a few hundred dollars out of pocket and NO mattress to show for it :( By the time I came to see Neil, I was grumpy, sore and my pockets were lighter. He immediately told me the mattress I needed. I was skeptical of course, I had been ill advised so many times. I went away, did research, came back to Neil. He told me again what mattress I needed. Me continuing to be stubborn, I told him the type of mattress I'm used to, he offered to custom make it for me to my desired specs, which would have cost more money, but again reiterated the mattress he saw fit for me. I took the chance and went for it and I'm delighted I did. The mattress is a dream, no more back pain. He also gave me a great deal to try offset some of the expense Sears had cost me! How awesome! He also kept in contact with me via text to make sure my delivery came and I was happy..hours after the store had closed! Who does that these days? Two pieces of advice for your future mattress purchase: First, DO NOT go to the giant superstores, they don't give a hoot about you, believe me. Second, forget everything you think you know about mattresses. All my months of research and Neil told me in about 5 seconds what mattress I need lol! Have been driving by Leeds ever since it opened. We needed a new mattress so my wife and I decided to check out the showroom. Neil was fantastic and helped us with all our questions. He was not pushy for us to by a mattress and even gave us a business card to come back when we were ready. However, we decided to buy one and to our surprise, the price listed was the price we paid. No extra for taxes, delivery or pickup of our old mattress. Neil asked us if we wanted delivery Monday and we figured it was for the next week. But it was for the next day.
