Lee's Auto Care has replaced front and rear brakes at different times, replaced a radiator hose, repacked the front ball bearings, and done numerous oil changes for me over the past 3+ years. Highly competent and knowledgeable, fast, honest and ethical, polite, with labor rates the same as many and lower than some. (They don't do everything, for example, they don't put tires on rims or take tires off rims.) I'd recommend Lee's to anyone, esp. Asian cars. read more

Stopped by Lee's Auto care this Tuesday 5/29/2025 . Showing low tire pressures Approached Phillip and without hesitation asked me to pull up and he checked all the tires . And I asked him do I need to change the other 2 tires and he said no And then he reset the care and it worked I highly recommend this place the professionalism, honesty, knowledge and customer service service is absolutely outstanding. We've been going to Mr Lee for over 10 years and LOVE it. He does great work and is no nonsense. He charges fair rates and will tell you if a repair is likely to be a high cost. He keeps very clean shop and will often take a few minutes to give a quick diagnosis between jobs. The signs mentions Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura, but he's comfortable with many brands. read more

Took a car for state inspection some things needed to be replace. The work was done car was return a week later because the garage door was stuck the car was already ready 3 days prior to pick up date. The car a couple days later started making weird noises and all the lights on the dashboard lit up. We took it to jeep they reset the modules but didn't want to touch the work that this shop did if not the warranty was going to be voided. We took it back and said they were going to fix the noise. 4 days later car is ready. We go to pick it up there trying to charge us 330 for work that was done. When ask why didn't they call us to confirm to do the work that they had to already fix. We were giving a blank face. We took our car and left. Don't got here they make your car worst before they actually fix it and than try to charge you more at the end read more

Had my Maryland safety inspection done one day, and had my garage make the fixes the next day. Brought the car back to have the Inspection finalized and he charged me a second time for a re-inspection. All they had to do was check to see that what needed fixing was fixed. Not sure why they had to re-inspect since they did it two days before. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and left a bad taste in my mouth. Needed an MD state inspection on my 2006 Mazda Miata in order to transfer title & registration after a divorce. I'd had oil changes at the Midas around the corner, but they don't do inspections, so they (enthusiastically) referred me to Phillip, at this shop inside the Marathon on University. Phillip fit me in right away (they seem to do brisk business but he and the other mechanics manage it well); advised of a couple of small repairs needed; and was able to fit them in that same afternoon for a very competitive price. What I also appreciated was that, because it was pouring rain when he finished at the end of the day, he kindly offered to park my (precious, deteriorating soft top convertible!) in the shop overnight, so I didn't need to get out in the bad weather. He's a scammer that you rip you for all your money, Me said the repair for my car would initially be $900, next day he said it would be $2,400, So my question is How can it go up by $1500 if the issue was not as bad as it was before i brought it over there. This shop has fixed my 97 Honda civic twice in the past year. They've worked magic at fixing the different problems quickly, and compared to the quotes I get from other shops in the area, are the most affordable. They've never tried to upsell me which I really appreciate, as it's an old car and has lots that COULD be done to fix it up. They looked into my check engine light when it came on once, explained the problem, cost solutions, but then told me since it's an old car, not really worth it and should be okay without. read more

I call my car Lady. I know that's corny, but my old roommate and I felt as though our cars had enough personality, that they needed their own respective names. Lady is like a stoic mare that takes me dutifully, to and from. Lady is reliable, unassuming, smooth and a classic, Japanese made vehicle that has been extremely loyal to me over the years. When Lady has the rare hiccup or headache, I usually take her over to Lee's Auto Center. Although the work I've had done on her has been minimal, Mr. Lee and his team are always able to take her immediately and have her in and out in the time it takes for me to get my hair or nails done, depending on the kind of work needed. Usually, I just need an oil change, or my brake pads replaced - pretty standard work, but he always makes sure to also check my tires and any other things that could cause problems with my car in the future. Instead of pushing for me to get unnecessary work done, he only recommends things that might truly me *needed* to keep my car running smoothly and safely. Over the years, I've come to trust their work and have been impressed by how convenient the process is. So far, so good! read more

If you're not of the Asian persuasion, avoid this place. I went with my African American friend to see about changing his sway bar and joints on his Lexus GS and the owner lied straight to our faces and claimed it would be $600. The Lexus dealership doesn't even charge that much!! On a second trip to Lee's, they just ignored my friend as he was standing in line to ask a repair question. I've seen him go out of his way to help people of his own ethnicity and it's sickening to see a place like this do business in America. I have been taking my cars (Lexus) to Mr. Lee for about 9 years. First it was oil changes but now he's my go to mechanic. Tara L. is absolutely right. Mr. Lee does not leave you feeling like you just got ripped off. They tell you what needs to be done and if you say no they just leave it alone. I trust them though. His prices is reasonable and you can get in and out fairly quickly. I went to Son's Auto Clinic slight across the street and got completely ripped off so WARNING to all, NEVER go there people!!! That was lesson learned! Now I'm in a good place at Mr. Lee's. I usually get my oil change there and they always top off all my fluids no charge! I told my brother in law about Mr. Lee (who very skeptical about everything). He now only brings his car to Mr. Lee. BTW, he is Toyota certified so he's really good with Japanese car. read more

Mr. Lee is a great certified auto mechanic with reasonable prices. I have a 01 accord and 99 Maxima that I've had serviced numerous times that included all types of repair. I would highly recommend him anytime over going to a dealership mechanic. Also I read the reviewer posted above who complained about having have to pay to $20 to check his engine code. I don't know too many place that will do a diagnostic test on your car for free. You buy a Lexus and portray that you are wealthy but can't spend $20 to have your car checked out. If you can't afford to pay for maintenance on an expense car don't complain when it needs servicing. You should have thought about that when you were purchasing your Lexus and tried being a "poser". read more

My AC went out a week before I was to leave on a summer road trip. I took my van into Mr. Lee to have it repaired. The AC promptly went out again a few hours into the road trip. I had to stop and get it fixed elsewhere. I called Mr. Lee to see what he could do. He told me to bring it back in. I told him that was not possible as I was on a road trip. He agreed to refund me the price of the other mechanic when I got home. The other mechanic fixed a leak in the system and recharged the AC. When I got home Mr. Lee remember me calling but he refused to refund me the price of the other mechanic that had to fix what Mr. Lee couldn't. Needless to say, I will never use him again and I would recommend that others do not either. read more

I don't know the kind of service these people got, but obviously they have some relations with Mr. Lee or don't know anything about cars and are speaking out of their buts. I came to Mr. Lee from these review for repairs on my leaks for my brake, coolant, and oil. I came in met him. After a few secs he said to park my car to the side and wait for him there. Shortly after two people came up and ask for his assistant. He immediately made time for them and took their car in the shop garage. Did I mention that their cars were much more fancier looking then mine plus they were older and dressed more nicely. I thought this was somewhat rude but I payed little attention to it and patiently waited for 30minutes on the side with my engine hood up. He finally came to the side after servicing the other 2 and looked at my engine. I clearly knew the problem and where they were leaking and clearly told this to Lee. He just looked at my engine from distance and said I needed a new timing belt, water pump, etc saying its going to be expensive. to my mind I was like WHAT?!!?He didn't even open up my engine to confirm and hes already making a list of pointless things I don't need. I'm definitely sure I don't need a new timing belt and water pump because I replaced those months ago with the help of my mechanic friend and they last for over 100,000miles. He clearly took me for a fool thinking I know nothing about my car and engine. I mention I only needed to replace the seals which is a very easy task. For those of you who don't know what seals are they are just small cheap pieces of rubber or hardpaper purchased at auto stores. I just don't know the name of the seals nor do I have the dextrose hands of an experience mechanic. Afterwards he said it would take him 5-7hours to open my engine just to get to the seals and he charges 75$/per hour. I didn't even want to hear what he would charge to do the seals. At that point I notice this guy was just BSing me. In the past It took me 30min to an hour to open up my engine with my friend to get to the seals,timing belt,water pump, so there's no way an experienced mechanic can take 5x longer than me. I told him this and he said "Ok you can do in 30 minutes than do it" and rudely left me. So from all this I can conclude that this guy is rude, shows no respect for new customers, take advantage of people who know little about cars and is just out for ripping people off , replacing parts that don't even need to be replaced. read more
