I've even been on time for one or two...ha. While they are very punctual with their time, they also are very accommodating and do try to make it work when I'm not. Very nice, personable staff & stylists on top of that. Their booking strategy changed with the pandemic; it used to be a no reservations, walk-ins only salon where sometimes you'd sit down immediately, sometimes you'd wait an hour+. Now it's an only reservations, no walk ins with a pretty easy booking process online. Oh yeah also, I mean the talent of the women who actually cut hair there is really, literally unparalleled in the market they're in. Or just a barbershop that can cut Black hair. I always get a bunch of recommendations for overpriced barbers who take FOREVER to get a fade and it's mediocre at best. In their defense, my hair isn't 100% Black, so many Black barbers can't get a tight fade and non-Black barbers don't know what to do. Until I found Excel. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was different because they designed the barber shop to be very inviting and relaxing. Very modern setup with phone charging stations, flat screens and great music playing. Most importantly, my haircut. I had Xavier who was super friendly and is the owner. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and explained the issues I've had with other barbers and he got to work. The cut was PERFECT.
