I just moved from Los Angeles, where I had a great barber who had worked in expensive, high end hollywood salons but decided to open a simple barbershop so my expectations were high and I feared I'd never find someone that good again, that I could afford. I have burned through many barbers trying to find a good fit and it often takes few attempts to get it right. I feel very fortunate to have gotten it right on my first try this time. If you are looking for someone in the overlap between expensive hair studio skillset and laidback, old school barbershop environment, Waleed is extremely experienced for how affordable he is. I have very thick, wavy hair, multiple cowlicks, and like to keep an extremely tight fade so not an easy customer. Waleed did an excellent job. I barely gave him any direction, and left with what my wife said is one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. He clearly has experience with some of the more complicated techniques that you find at high end hair salons that many basic barbers just don't do, but offers an affordable cut in a simple, low key barbershop environment. I have been going to waleed for more than 8 months now after i moved in from atlanta to naperville. i had an excellent guy to take care of my hair there, so i was concerned to find the right one here. the rave reviews of waleed are truly a testimony of his work. i was not disappointed. His Barbershop is very clean and well maintained and his set up with HD tv is great! I'm very particular about my hair and he always gives me a great cut. Didn't have to wait too long as waleed is a fast cutter. Asked me exactly how I wanted my hair, he understood clearly and got my haircut done in about 30 minutes. 100% the best haircut I have ever gotten in my life! If you are in a hurry this is not the barber shop for you. Waleed does a phenomenal job so there's usually a wait. He's only 1 person and he works very hard 6 days a week. My son loves him and is willing to wait because the haircut is THAT good. We waited 45 min this morning and my son walked out happy and confident with his short fade. PS. My son is 12 and doesn't like waiting for anything so that alone should tell you how good he is. read more
