Lee did a great job finishing our garage floor. He was very efficient. He puts down a quality product. I would recommend him.

After agreeing to epoxy job/price, he left me a voicemail saying I needed to move mulch/sod away from project area. Besides being able to see paver bricks under the job, he blew the 'sand' all over my driveway, into my plants and mulch, and left a patch of clear, sticky substance in the only patch of grass available to my dog overnight. Downplayed everything, and said my landscaper could clean up. Only accepts cash, checks and won't give a receipt unless you ask for one - and makes YOU fill it out. read more

I was very disappointed. I requested the entire house (carpet & tile floors) to be cleaned extra good. They blitzed the job out in 20 minutes or less. The owner, Lee was extremely was rude. He seemed irritated when I asked him a question. I was charged for cleaning grout, which was never done, only sprayed deodorizer on the tile & left it soaking wet. After they left, I discovered a broken door stopper that should have been attached to the wall. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. We called Lee's Carpet and Floor Care and asked them to come out to give us an estimate. They said there was no need. They'd just come and do the work. So, we emptied closets, took furnature apart, swept from the corners that are normally buried behind our stuff - a couple of hours work - yesterday. This morning, they were supposed to arrive at eight. At eight twenty my husband called them to make sure they were on their way. They said eight thirty. At eight forty, they arrived. They started bringing equipment in. Since they would not come ahead of time to size up the job, I was concerned about how long our house would have to be disrupted and also wondered how close the one-size-fits-all estimate would be to the actual work we needed done. We were hoping to get some grout cleaned in two rooms of tile and get a large area of wood floor redone. Almost immediate, the owner told us they do not redo floors. Apparently, they only throw a fresh coat of varnish over whatever you already have so if you actually need anything more than that done, don't bother to call them. After evaluating the wood floor - something he refused to do ahead of time - he told us they could not do the work. We assumed they would still do the grout work since they had already brought the equipment in to do so. However, while my husband and I were discussing what to do next with the wood floor, these guys snuck out - equipment and all - without so much as a goodbye! No work done. Nothing good to say. We have used Lee's Carpet for many years. I have Lee and his son clean our carpets and upholstery in our home on a regular basis, and it keeps everything looking brand new! I have also used them for our hardwood floors and patio for epoxy and they looked so shiny and new! Like others said, if there was an option of zero stars, that's what Lee and his company deserves. I am sure the four-star reviews were simply for carpet cleaning jobs, and not for his ability to do epoxy treatments on patios. I contacted Lee in September to get an estimate to have our patio and stairwell from the yard into the basement treated with an epoxy coating. After falling for his BS talk, I gave him a deposit. On that day, he told me three key things: 1. That he would need three days of no rain; one day for the main coat to dry and two days for the clear coat to dry and cure. 2. That the project would have to be completed by mid-October due to colder weather and leaves falling due to the season. 3. That the finished patio would be seamless (meaning the joint seams in the existing concrete would be filled in). He said that would look beautiful. By the second week in October, I had not heard from him so I called and asked if he thought our project would have to be pushed to Springtime. He said no, and that, again, he was waiting for a window of three rain-free days. The following week he called and left a message to say that we were next in line. When I called him back later that afternoon to let him know I received his message, Lee informed me that they were planning on doing the job the next morning. That was pretty last minute notice considering my husband had to then remove all of our furniture, grill, firepit, etc. off the patio. When the umbrella stand and firepit was removed, there were noticable stains on the concrete. My husband said that that did not matter as they have to grind the cement to prep it, and the surface stains would be gone. So, it turns out, the next day rained, so the job was haulted. Lee then said that they were planning on coming out the following day, getting the base coat on, going to another job, and then would return the same day to put the clear coat on. WHAT? What happened to needing three days to dry properly? Lee and his son showed up and from what was caught on our security camera, his son was looking around and motioned to Lee, and then Lee said "We have no other option. This is our only window of opportunity." After working for about an hour and 15 minutes (no prep work was done), Lee rang my doorbell to say that he ran out of materials. He only completed 3/4 of the patio! Why on Earth would he start a job when he did not have enough material to even complete the patio, let alone the stairwell? I asked him if at least the patio would get done this year and, again the camera filmed him saying "Ha ha ha ... I knew you would ask me that. I don't know but I sure hope so because I want my pay out." I then called my husband to let him know what was going on. He was furious. He is in the trades and could not belive that someone would start a job without enough materials to finish it, especially when the outdoor job was senstive due to weather conditions. Lee simply wanted to get the project done this year so that he could get paid in case materials were more expensive next year, with no concern as to how his rush job would affect the finished product. I was not comfortable having 3/4 of the patio "done" and then going an entire winter with subzero temps and snow sitting on the epoxy and then finishing the remaining 1/4 months later as it most like would not match. Also, what he did complete was not seamless. I asked him about this and he got quite aggetated, and said that it was a patio and it would look "weird" without seams (however, at our initial meeting, he said how nice it would look being seamless). Lee and his son then left saying they would be back later that afternoon to do the clear coat. I went out to inspect what was done, and touched the surface. There were areas that were oozing a goop-like substance. Again, it rained the day before, and the temperature was now averaging only in the lower 60s. I was very nervous about this whole situation so I called two other epoxy companies to ask questions. Both stated that they do not do outside epoxy work after October, and both were stunned that anyone would: A. Start a job without enough materials; and B. Put a clear coat on it the same day. When Lee and his son returned, I expressed my concerns to him, to which he got aggitated again. The aggitation elevated when I told him I called two other companies. And when I showed him the tacky material on the patio, he walked off the job! Again, camera caught him saying "I'm done. I'm outta here." After a week, he did return my deposit. Thankfully, the other companies stated that it would not cost us any money to fix his hack job because they always prep the concete, so the existing materials will be ground off. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with this company. Once he gets your deposit, Lee is not professional or nice to deal with. read more

There needs to be the ability to provide negative stars when reviewing this business. Not only poor work but property damage and monetary loss on top of a lack of caring because he seems to feel business is a numbers game. They had a nice add in one of the circulars that come often in the mail so I decided to inquire since they claim to repair and seal concrete surfaces such as garage aprons and stoops. My garage aprons were in need of repair and the repairs never blend so having them sealed and flecked with epoxy makes sense. They gave a good price to complete the job along with the side entry stoop to our home. We paid half up front with the remainder to be paid upon completion as they requested. We informed them that we would be on vacation and they could perform the work on their time. We returned from vacation to find a mess on our driveway, which was surprising but not as upsetting as to find that they had unplugged the refrigerator/freezer in our garage, and failed to reconnect it. We knew we would arrive home from vacation late that evening and therefore had a prepared dinner in the garage refrigerator, along with normal staples (we are a large family of 6). All of the food, including the children's dinner was spoiled as well as most of the food in the freezer. While my wife was trying to find something quick to prepare for us all to eat I noticed that epoxy and decorative chips were not only all over the driveway, as first observed, but all over inside the garage and all over the cars! I called Lee to express my dissatisfaction with his and his son's amateurish actions and was simply hung up on. I never yelled or cursed. He just hung up. The next day my wife came to me to show me that they had dumped the excess epoxy at the edge of our pond and the decorative chips were dumped in her flower beds and in the back yard near the children's swings. Based on this information I called again to express my dissatisfaction and Lee told me that he had plenty of happy clients and didn't care "just keep the final payment". Based on the reviews it appears you take your chances on whether they are having a good day or bad as to your outcome. I for one, will never take that chance. This business deserves and negative 5 stars at best. read more

WOW!!! Just, WOW! Ok, firstly, the condition of my carpets was criminal. Not a disparaging word...just comes in (a few minutes early, I might add!) and gets to work. He worked so quickly and within break-neck speed, the carpets are clean, smell great and there is no trace of 3 dogs and everything that entails!!! (Get it?!) GONE! Lee and his son, Derek did a great job for us. They cleaned all of our carpeting and made them look like new. For another service, they finished our walkway with an epoxy and fleck coating that looks great as well as re-leveled the walkway that had sunken adjacent to the front stoop. And for another service they re-polyed our hardwood floors to a great new shine. All of their prices are very reasonable, they do high quality work, use great materials, are clean, and consistently show up on time. STAY AWAY! Seriously, this guy was extremely rude yelling at my husband when asked him to take it easy on the freshly painted walls, "just get out of my way so I can do my job!" My husband moved all the furniture for him!!! Not only did he not clean the existing stains, but he actually caused more stains that are yellow, maybe whatever product he put on my carpet and stairs?! Now I have yellow stains on the carpeted stairs and in the LR! He was also supposed to do the wood floors which he didn't do at all, even though he said we could put the kitchen table on foam blocks in the LR once the carpets were done. When I asked him why he didn't do the wood, he stated, "the ratio of carpet to wood is too high." And continued to repeat this, and never got a logical explanation. What does that even mean? He literally screamed at me on the phone when I called and asked him to come back to redo the carpet. He went on a strange continuous rant about how he is like a pit crew at NASCAR! "Do you want a speedy and fast expert like the pit crew in NASCAR, or someone slow and doesn't know what they're doing." My response was, I want some one that is thorough and meticulous, it's not a NASCAR race! He was in the house for 1 hour and spent 15 minutes trying to up sell garage floor sealer. How can you clean a whole house in 45 minutes?! (2200 sq ft. home) This was definitely the worst behavior I have ever dealt with from a service provider! Can we give negative stars? read more

Stay away! Lee is extremely rude and abusive to clients. He is a bully that tries to intimidate homeowners who ask questions into keeping quiet. He does not know the requiments of the epoxy floor products he uses - I verified this with the epoxy supplier. It's sad when a homeowner knows more about an epoxy product that a self proclaimed "expert". In 40+ years of dealing with business owners/contractors I have never met someone so abusive. At first meeting he comes off as an aggressive business owner who really hustles...the thing he hustles is homeowners of their money. I had lee out for epoxy garage floor. He made some repairs to the concrete on the first day. After the repair cured there were 1/4" high lumps and mounds of the dried repair material which should have been flat. On the second day after the repair cured I began to ask him if he planned on taking care of the lumps. He immediately got abusive and began berating me telling me he has done hundreds of these floors ( I doubt it) and not to worry. When I pressed him for details he said forget it and began to leave - all the time his son stood there laughing at me. We talked some more and all he could say was it will be ok in the end. When I told him he could proceed if Lee would put something in writing as to the final finish quality. Up to this point I did not have a signed contract and lee had my $200 deposit. Interesting that he did not start the job until the $200 check cleared at the bank.....hmmmmm.. Lee would not put anything down on paper. I told him that if I did not like the end floor result I would not pay the balance. He stated I was threatening him. Really? We talked some more and I agreed to let him proceed as he somewhat had me over a barrel with a (poorly) patched up floor. He then agreed to grind down the lumps - he was extremely agitated at this point (envision a guy who just drank fifty cups of coffee! - that's what he was like) He began to grind the floor and within 30 seconds a giant toxic epoxy dust cloud covered my garage (recorded on video...more on that later). I have finished cabinets, jackets, hats, sporting good items etc in my recently finished off garage (except the floor). I asked him to stop grinding. I told him that he did not tell me he was going to create an enormous toxic dust cloud which covered everything in my garage. At this point he screamed that's it I'm leaving. He packed up his tools really, really, really, really, really pissed off ...all the while he son stood there laughing and grinning from ear to ear. I later confirmed with the epoxy supplier that lee used a product for repairing the concrete that is not suitable to be used as a concrete floor patch. There is more to this story..but you get the drift. In case lee wants to dispute my statements let me remind him.....I have a video surveillance system on my house which fortunately includes the interior of the garage. If you choose to use lee which I strongly recommend against...get a DETAILED signed contract upfront-don't just listen to his good old boy sales pitch. GET DETAILS! MONITOR HIS EVERY MOVE ON YOUR PROPERTY!!! Do not leave him unattended as you may regret it. read more

We've used Lee's carpet cleaning service for several years. Every time he was here (2/year) he told us our garage floor and patios would look better with an epoxy coating and gave us a verbal estimate. After considering it for a while we got three unrelated estimates for the work, ultimately deciding to go with another company. When Lee came to clean our carpets today, he walked into our house and said he 'was livid' that we had the epoxy work done by someone else. He said he was having a good day until he saw our epoxied patio. He said epoxy work is 'how he feeds his family'. My husband told him he had gotten several estimates and went with the company he chose to, and was very happy with the results. Instead of an expected business response of being glad we were happy, he remained angrily verbal about how he doesn't make profit on carpet cleaning and he was 'livid' that we went with someone else. He said he could 'clean the carpets in a house 2/year for forty years and not make the profit he does on an epoxy job'. His demeanor for the duration of his time in our house was clearly angry. Our carpets were done today in a shorter time than ever before, and he left without saying another word. I can't understand how any business person feels it's appropriate to speak to a client in the manner he did, much less question anyone's choice of a home upgrade they have opted to do? We had read other reviews of similar behavior but had never experienced it. However, based on our experience today we won't be having Lee's carpet cleaning back. read more

After 19 years with three kids and a dog, I went in with the attitude of "anything is better than this" and was left with results that were unbelievable! The father and son have the process down to a science. Some of the white carpet in our house is 30 years old, but you would never know. Looks good as new since we have it cleaned twice per year and take advantage of Lee's January and July special pricing deal! Most reasonably priced carpet cleaners in the area!
