Haven't been back to this place for awhile, and while at work I was craving for a ham and cheese croissant. So had to stop by here and grab one and some do-nut holes for the kids. I love their ham and cheese croissant, perfect amount of ham and cheese. The do-nut holes have sure gotten expensive since i last went tho. 2.95 for a dozen yikes. I also got their cheddar and jalapeño bagel which is a must when you come here. You really can't go wrong with anything here, this place is a little treasure. Some of my favorites are; Ham and cheese croissant, turkey, cheese and jalapeno croissant they warm them up for you and they are scrumptious! They taste more of a yeast roll, in a super good way. I'm doing an update because I went there this morning and their donuts were sooooo goooood! I still stick with my review for their croissantwiches BUT their donuts made me quite happy today! I'm slowly but surely trying out every donut shop in castro valley and most of them have let me down. But today Lee's have done justice in making and serving delicious donuts. Another perk is they have other snacks and scratchers and other nick nacks that would make it a sweet quick stop for locals. I love this little donut shop! The people that work here are super sweet and friendly and the shop is on my way to work so it's perfect when I want to bring a sweet treat into the office. The donuts are definitely my favorite in the area. After trying a few not so good places around here when I found this place I just fell in love and have been loyal to this place ever since. They always have a lovely selection of a wide variety of donuts. PLENTY of maple options which are my personal favorite. I have yet to try their breakfast sandwiches or bagels, but after reading the reviews on here, I can't wait to try those out too!! Stopped in just to grab a cup of coffee before hitting the freeway. I just had to say how nice the owner was to me. Friendly smile and asked how I was doing. Pretty impressed with this establishment. Very clean, fun donut shop atmosphere. They carry a lot of options for food also. I will say that my glazed twist was kind of dry, but to be fair I didn't go to the shop until noon. I'm sure in the morning they are more fresh and less dry. I also got a croissant. It was delicious and I was impressed that the lady asked if I'd like it warmed. I did... and it was really good. I then ordered a frozen vanilla coffee drink. It's one of the Big Train brand of drinks that a lot of donut shops carry. Wasn't terrible, but also wasn't anything to rave about. I like that the donut shop is located right next to a Walgreens. It's very convenient. And there is good parking in front of the shop. The shops carries so many different breakfast croissant options. I think next time I will try the bacon, egg and cheese one. Since I now know how good the croissants are, I'm sure I'll love the breakfast ones. So, my suggestion is, get here in the morning and I'm sure you'll be in love with it! read more

Please ask ALL of your employees and patrons to wear a mask according to the current guidelines. The owners are great, but another employee was making my latte without wearing a mask, and she acted like she didn't understand me when I asked her to wear one while making my drink. Patrons who aren't wearing a mask are served. While I want to support independent/local businesses, it's not worth the risk at this time if masks aren't used by both staff and other patrons. read more

Ok, so my wife and I found this place a while back (around a year or so ago) close by our house and we first tried it because our regular "Big Apple Bagel" in Castro Valley had closed down and moved (God knows where). Ever since then "Posh Bagel" appeared on that place. After trying their bagels (about 3 times) we came out very disappointed (because their bagels were very dry and stiff, bland and lacked taste, they didn't feel fresh) and decided not to go back again. One day passing by we found this place and decided to go in and check it out (since we are that adventurous and like to try new places), what we found was a little gem and great service and awesome kind people. Their bagels are not only fresh and toasty but Kevin (the owner and dough puncher) makes fresh bagels and donuts every single day!!!!! (he wakes up by 3am and starts working on them every morning! Yeah, take that Posh and Big Apple). Granted, he doesn't have a substantial selection of bagels but the 4 he has are just amazingly to die for (well not really, but trust me, they are very good) My personal favorite is the Jalapeno bagel with cream cheese (and sometimes I ask him to add eggs). My favorite donuts are the sugar coated, dark chocolate, and donut holes. I am not a great coffee drinker but I'm a sucker for his iced coffee which he makes with one shot and milk, dressed in ice and sugar (not too much sugar, just enough to make it good). My wife adores the raisin bagel with cream cheese and if you ask to put a little more cream on the bagel I'm sure he will do it. He does other things like croissants (I recommend the plain ones) with cheese, jalapeno, and ham inside as well but I stick to the best of what this place has to offer. This may not be the place for everyone as I have witnessed some rude clients in person and Kevin has made strides to better up his business, so what you see is what you get. Every time I take the box of dozen donuts to work it's gone by noon. And everyone at work loves them and tells me how fresh and tasty they are. Anyhow, if you are in the mood for some great donuts (not the super sweet drenched "Krispy Kreme" I am eyeing you!") and good, fresh tasty bagels accompanied by some good iced coffee this place is a must. I've been here two times on my way to school at cal state east bay. On my first visit I bought an orange juice and noticed the expiration date was within a week. Not terrible but annoying. Today I got a couple donuts. Donuts weren't fresh at all, very dry and tasted old. The worst part was I found a dead fly cooked into the donut! Are you kidding me!!!
