We were in the area touring wedding venues and needed a quick lunch, so we stopped into heritage hoagies. There was no line and the hoagie was made in less than 5 minutes! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful! We were enjoyed our sandwich and will be back if we are in the area again soon!

Great sandwiches and the French fries were perfection. We had the Godfather Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken cheesesteak, and Chicken Parm. All highly recommended. Quick and friendly service.

I got the meat lover's cheesesteak. Pork roll, bacon and cheesesteak meat. Who knew they would work together so well? Apparently Heritage Hoagies did. Good amount of cheese that is melted very nicely. Good corropolese roll. This cheesesteak had a lot of flavor.

5 Star Hoagies for the most part but they need to get it together as far as service goes. I've been coming here for about 5 or 6 years ... Best hoagies in the area. I never had any issues until now. This last visit was a joke. 50 minute wait for 3 hoagies and chicken fingers ? Wtf. They also went lite on the meat and cheese. my buddies sandwich was mostly all roll - dude was pissed. I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon. I'll take the drive to marinucci's or primos. Hope they hire more staff and speed things up.

Picked up a deal on Yelp, pay $10 and get $20 worth of food . We figured we'd give it a try, why not. We got a pepperoni cheese steak with extra cheese. Solid decent cheesesteak, good flavor nice amount of meat. Hot and fresh with a great soft but sturdy roll. Chicken parm was okay. The sauce is was on the slightly sweet side. I'm not a fan of slight sweet sauce for a chicken parm, but it wasn't bad. Wouldn't it get that again though. Chicken cutlet "hoagie" was made so wrong. I ordered a chicken cutlet hoagie and all I got was a piece of breaded chicken on a roll with nothing on it. I don't know how you mess up a chicken cutlet hoagie, I ordered nothing special on it. Guess they didn't feel like making it "hoagie" like for me. The girl who took the order was young and seemed like she cared more about getting off the phone when I ordered than getting my order down right. At least two out of three items where correct. Not a good impression for my first time here.

Hype chasing works against places more often than not. That said I'd come here again. It's a pretty small place. Casual. Nothing too fancy. Tables are pretty close together. Our order started off with honey drizzled whipped ricotta on crostini. This was my favorite thing we had. I would order this every single time. Very tasty. Truffle fries were good, the right amount of truffle flavor. We split a chicken parm sandwich and a cheese steak. Both very good. Sauce on the parm has a sweet zing. The cheese steak was done in the modern style with the cooper sharp mixed in like a chopped cheese on a seeded roll. I find cheese steaks are either a 5 or a 7. Rarely do they stray outside the curve. This was most definitely on the 7 side. But the hype is a little over blown. What I wish we did was order a pizza. Every pie I saw looked fantastic.

Still we decided to share their American Boi Pizza and Carm's Parm Chicken with Drunken Rigatoni. The tomato pie was excellent (especially the first few slices right from the oven) which was perfectly crisp (no flop) and just the right char. It was superior to the parmigiana dinner platter, whose chicken was a bit dry due to being so thinly malleted and uncovered from lack of a fuller spoonful or two of red gravy. The Rigatoni was also in limited supply on the plate, but did hold the vodka blush well, which was pretty good. Service was exceptional, as our waitress engaged us warmly from welcome to final salutation. She was attentive and clearly took our satisfaction to heart. Five Star American Boi; Three Star Chicken Parm. No bread for the table. 3.5 Stars overall.

However, many of you might not know that Mister Ricks also makes great cheesesteaks. They have one of the best cheesesteaks I've eaten in Philly. The sliced ribeye is tender, juicy, and flavorful and stuffed into a giant seeded roll. A bargain for $14.99. Get it with fried onions and your choice of American, Provolone, or Cooper Sharp Cheese (hint: get Cooper Sharp!). It was so good I didn't even need to add any flavorings like ketchup or mayo to it (some cheesesteaks in South Philly are so dry they need ketchup and mayo to make them palatable). Mister Ricks cheesesteak is also physically larger than a lot of cheesesteaks I've eaten, so not only do you get a great cheesesteak, but it's also a great BIG cheesesteak that can be shared, especially if you get a couple of bags of chips. Oh, yes, they also have a vast array of chips and Coca Cola soda products to choose from. My son pointed out that this cheesesteak rivals and even beats any of the fancy, famous cheesesteak shops I've taken him to all around Philly. Totally true. I can name some of them, but then those shops might not like me anymore! Service is always quick and efficient. They serve a lot of folks on days with sporting events so if you're in a hurry, call ahead to place your order. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. When I went in there was just one girl working up front. She took my order which is a pretty consolidated menu - just a few good options of pizza, steaks and chicken cutlets and a few sides. I like that it isn't so giant. I knew I wanted to try the mozzerella sticks and I was debating between a cheesesteak and a cutlet sandwich. But also was toying with the idea of a meatball- specifically because I heard they had good sauce and I wasn't trying a pizza this trip. I went with the cheesesteak which on the menu boasts ribeye and a seeded roll. I ordered cooper sharp (usually I do American, this was the first time getting cooper sharp) and onions. Let me first say the steak was chopped perfectly the sandwich was heftyyy and it was loaded with cheese - all mixed in. Very good! Super tender meat. I will say that, personally, I'm used to getting a lighter cheese steak and adding sauce so this was definitely different for me but I can recognize how good it was. I did decided to order a side of meatballs to try - this was the only thing that didn't hit for me. They weren't bad but I would have liked more flavor. They were super tender though and I could tell they were homemade just as the menu says (hand rolled with a 200 year old family recipe) and the sauce - amazing! I topped that sauce on my steak and it was an elite combo for me as I, again personal preference, like to break up the cheese a bit. Overall the steak was really good and oh my gosh the mozzerella sticks- they were huge and the breading had such great flavor! Definitely a perfect pairing with their sauce. If I come back knowing how good the mozz breading is I definitely wanna try a chicken cutlet and pizza. The food came out super fast was super fresh. Definitely a good spot and I'm sure I'll be back!

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - This was the biggest disappointment. The chicken breast was extremely thick and had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was chicken breast with rib meat. If that's the case, it gives the impression that quality isn't a priority. The breading also fell off with almost every bite, and the sandwich wasn't well proportioned (one oversized tomato slice that wasn't cut evenly). Most importantly, it didn't taste like Nashville hot at all -- more like "Nashville not." Shrimp Po' Boy - Below average. The shrimp had a slightly fishy taste, and the bread didn't resemble proper po' boy bread. The greens were a spring mix, which felt like an odd choice. Traditional shredded lettuce would have worked much better. I've had po' boys in Louisiana, and while I wasn't expecting complete authenticity, I was expecting something closer to the spirit of the dish. This version missed the mark. Smash Burger - Probably the best of the three mains we ordered, but still just average. I've honestly had better smash burgers at chains like Shake Shack. Sides: The fries were great. We ordered the beer cheese sauce, which was fine but not necessary. The onion rings were the standout -- perfectly crispy with a clean bite. The homemade ranch served with them was excellent. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more, but the food didn't deliver enough for me to return.
