Great bubble tea!! Friendly service. Made my bubble tea perfect. Will be back to try some dim sum.

Good Chinese food and fast, friendly service--that's how I'd best sum up Lee's House. My sister and I came in roughly an hour before closing, and were quickly seated to a table of our choosing. At the time, there was only one customer, but it seemed like there were a number of takeout orders being completed. Our servers were all extremely courteous--from getting us chili oil, to switching out a pair of chopsticks. It made our experience all the more pleasant. BRAISED VEGETARIAN TRIO ($5.50): Though this is an appetizer, I thought that there could've been more tofu and seaweed as both are sliced so thinly. It is served cold to room temperature, so do keep this in mind if you prefer hotter food. I also found it to be too salty for my liking. PORK DUMPLINGS ($6.95 for 10): I thought the skin was on the thicker side, particularly near the seam. This made the skin to pork ratio off-balance as the latter is not that generously given. With that said, my sister did say that this would've been her favourite dish if it was actually served hot. Unfortunately for us, it was barely room temperature. The dish itself has a light sauce dressed over it. BRAISED BEEF BRISKET IN SOUP WITH NOODLE ($8.95): If you're craving a Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, I definitely recommend ordering this with the noodle (not vermicelli) option. The soup is savory with great dimension and served piping hot; the beef brisket is tender and fatty; the flat noodles are thick with great elasticity; and the Chinese mustard leaves and bok choy add an additional flavor and textural component. In short, this was a very slurpable bowl of noodles! TOMATO STEW BEEF BRISKET IN SOUP WITH NOODLE ($9.50): This was my sister's dish, but she much preferred mine in terms of both the soup and noodles. The soup is thicker than the beef noodle soup, and has small pieces of softened tomato floating about. The noodles are not the same kind as the beef noodle soup: they soak up their soup more and are not as flat or thick. This too was also served piping hot, which was much appreciated! BBQ PORK FRIED RICE ($9.00): Finally, this was a last minute order and was served within minutes! The "wok hei" was absolutely incredible--the rice was perfectly fried and shone despite the other ingredients (egg, peas, BBQ pork, green onion). It was truly an example of how to master a simple, humble dish. Hats off to the chef! Considering the exceptional service and the stellar execution of two of the dishes, I hesitate in giving Lee's House 3 stars instead of 4 stars. However, I feel that the former more accurately reflects my overall experience given that the first two dishes missed the mark. For what it's worth though, this is my second time here and I do intend on coming back in the near future.

I'm giving Lee's four stars because they have they boba/tapioca/pearl drinks. For those of us near UVic, the drinks are much better than rival Yang Yang. I just wish the drinks were a little cheaper. The food is less stellar. The menu at Lee's is expansive, offering mainland Chinese, Hong Kong-style, and Taiwanese dishes. I understand that they're trying to appeal to a wide variety of Asian tastes, but it sacrifices quality in the process. Don't expect stellar service. It's run like a family restaurant. I'd be surprised if the servers have any previous, formal food service experience.

    Minced beef and parsley soup

This food is horrible over the 100 items on the menu I had asked for the rice curry dish they explained that it was spicy i asked for extra spicy. Literally mello rice a couple potatoes and 2 pieces of meat no spice horrible dish. I then ordered the minced beef and Chinese parsley soup. All I can say is I had one sip. Worst soup I've ever had thank god I have a friend that's a garburator soup was sticky and looked like somebody cam in it you will be horrified when you see the pictures will never eat their again horrible just horrible

Always on time when we place our order ahead of time Everyone that works there is super friendly. They've gone above and beyond when they heard it was my nephews birthday and threw in a bunch of mini chocolate bars. It's the little things that makes this place special. Our order has NEVER been wrong. They are always kind when we place our order. My parents always get the cod dinner for 2 which comes with 2 huge pieces of cod, more fries then they can make ever eat, THE BEST COLESLAW EVER and tartar sauce all for only like $22. I normally get halibut as there are way too many fries. However the chicken strips are so delicious and so are the cheese sticks You just can't go wrong with their food. Always delicious and always what we ordered. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed, I promise. Prices are so low for what you get. There is always a line out the door for pick up the ambiance isn't special but with these prices who cares. Every time we pick up our foot the place is packed. Every table is taken. That house to show you how delicious and popular their food is. I hope they keep their prices low and food yummy. We love ordering from them. They even dont mind my dad bringing in our 7 pound dog in a bag and all the people that work there fawn over him. Naughty Nellie is a neighbourhood treat. Please don't change. We love your food.

I did call to make a reservation just in case but in the end was not needed - I believe that is the only way to reserve to ensure you don't need to wait for a table. I got the fishhook chowder and the squimp toast. Fishhook chowder was decent - felt a bit watered down as I was expecting a stronger spice at minimum, but also not too salty. A bit watery than I expected. But I can still taste notes of the coconut milk and herbs so it could've been a bit better. The squimp toast is amazing - this is a must get. It's a combo of Humboldt squid and shrimp, both of which carried the flavors forward in the toast. And it is quite crispy. It's a fairly substantial dish at a relatively good price so this is actually a lot better than the fishhook chowder that people keep hyping about. Service is good as water refills are apparent. It feels more a fast casual than a more formal sit down, but prices are great and reflective as such.

There's a decent clip of parking out front, but fair warning - you do have to walk from the car to get to the front. Despite not having a reservation they made it work - hooray! We ordered a dozen of the little olys (only oyster local to WA state), the special salad they had that day, and the bread with sardines and salmon spread. We also got a grilled oyster sampler platter. For drinks, missus ordered the lemonade and I ordered an Arnold Palmer. The bread and oysters came super fast - like within 10 min of us ordering. The panzanella salad ($20 special) was the highlight for missus and myself. For oysters, the little olys were disappointing, salmon dip was really good, as were the anchovies (we got more bread too). We also ordered a half dozen oysters of the high beach sweets since everything was awesome so far. The service staff here are excellent. They checked on us often, cleared plates when things got full, and never over pressured for ordering or timing. We basically finished ordering and eating within an hour. The ambiance is incredible - you have a beautiful water view. If you don't like views, don't come here! The only downside here is the price (which makes sense). Everything priced on its own felt reasonable, but altogether the portion sizing (Olys were a good example) is a bit small, as was the panzanella salad (which makes sense, but also for $20...?). The high beach sweet oysters were definitely better value - for size and cost reasons. Overall a great meal, decent vibes, and a nice view.

The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.

It was delicious, but for the smaller portions of fish, I felt it was a bit overpriced compared to other fish and chips I've had for cheaper and with larger portions of fish. My friend ordered the Ground Chuck Cheeseburger with Bacon and Fries. It was juicy and a filling choice. The main draw of this restaurant is definitely the amazing views that almost everyone reviewing this restaurant mentions. Plus, the fact that there really aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area. I think the next time I dine here I would try to time it during their Happy Hour or Brunch, which they claim is "the best".
