10/10 would recommend. I happened to be in the area for an appointment and decided to try an actual Lee's location instead of buying the bottle coffee at Costco. I'm so happy i did! Luckily this location has a drive through so i did not have to wake my sleeping baby by going inside. The menu is a bit overwhelming if you don't know what you want exactly but it's all in a good way! I ordered the Biscoff iced Vietnamese coffee, DELICIOUS! I was also really hungry so i ordered a Turkey and cheese sandwich on a fresh baguette. I'm a new mom so i was fully prepared for how strong the coffee would be but be aware that it is also really sweet so if that's not your thing seek coffee elsewhere. The sandwich was good nothing special; turkey, American cheese and bread with toppings on the side. The service was fine, really quick. Couldn't tell you about the inside since I've only used the drive through but i always see people inside enjoying their coffee/food. They do offer outside seating as well which if that's your thing you'd enjoy. I've now gone out the way to get this coffee again and will absolutely be back! read more

This place was once used to be one of my favorite bakeries. Yesterday, I stopped by for a Special Baguette. I was disappointed with my order. The baguette is shorter, cold, and so hard on my gum. The French baguette I get from Von's is much more softer. The meats are fresh but much lesser now, barely any pate. Pickled carrot, daikon, onion, etc are fresh, however. The interior is much darker, deteriorating with most lights were turned off. The counters area are dark, cluttered with many old and new signs tapping up. Stopped by Lee's Sandwiches during our vacation and ended up loving it so much that we got banh mi from there 3 different times for breakfast! The baguette was always really fresh and made the sandwiches taste even better. The drive thru can take a little while, but it seemed like everything was being made fresh, so it was worth the wait. They're also open very early, which was super convenient while we were on the go. Overall, really good value for the money and definitely a spot we'd come back to. read more

I appreciate that this location has not changed anything and delivers the same Lee's quality as back in the day. I've tried other locations that deviated from the original quality, which is disappointing, but this location thankfully does not - the baguettes and other breads always taste fresh, the banh mi and other sandwiches are made well, and the Vietnamese coffee recipe is consistently true to taste. The service here is always friendly, even if you go through the drive thru. While the drive thru line is long sometimes, it usually goes quickly. Inside, the place feels nostalgic and is cleaned well. I recommend trying all of the smoothies - the avocado smoothie is my favorite. This location has a variety of fresh pastries, spring rolls, desserts, etc on the counter to look through as well. read more

I love Lee's! It's great for convenience, drive thru, and consistent banh mis. Maybe not common to order but I recently discovered that they also sell crab rangoons and they were honestly so good. They don't skimp on the sauce and sandwiches always come out delicious. They have both asian and european style depending on what you're craving and they have a large beverage selection too! I love the convenience of the drive thru. I typically come here when I'm on my way to work in the mornings or I need a quick bite before my tattoo appointment. I appreciate that they are pretty quick when you order through the drive thru. I'm not sure about inside though, since I've never been inside. Service is always nice here. After a long drive from the valley, we checked into the motel, had a small dinner, and got settled. But late at night, as my wife likes to call it, "hungry o'clock" struck. Half-asleep, slightly buzzed, and absolutely starving, I did what any out-of-town foodie would do: I hunted for something unique. That's how I landed on Lee's Sandwich Shop. Being a big fan of Vietnamese food, I eagerly ordered a sandwich (pretty sure it was the BBQ pork with pâté). My hunger lasted, but unfortunately, the sleep monster got to me before the sandwich could arrive. When I woke up a couple of hours later, there it was--a beautiful little bundle of flavor waiting for me at the door. The amazing thing about Vietnamese sandwiches? They're not just delicious, they're durable. Even after sitting there for a couple of hours, the sandwich was in perfect condition. The bread was still crisp, the veggies fresh and crunchy, and the flavors? Incredible. The BBQ pork was tender, the pâté added a rich depth, and the balance of textures and flavors was just spot-on. I ended up eating it for breakfast, and it was the best breakfast decision I've made in a long time. Since I ordered through DoorDash, I didn't interact with the staff, but based on the quality of the food, they know what they're doing. So unfortunately, I can't comment on the ambience. Everyone knows Lee's is like the Vietnamese fast food version McDonald's. It's not a must have kinda place, but just one you visit just because it's there. Honestly I'm only here for the ca phe sua dua which always hits the spot for me. While they have a variety of banh mi, there's too many other local places you know would do it better. The store is clean and has tables to sit down to eat inside and outside. I love their freshly baked baguettes to eat with pork rolls, chicken/beef stew or just plain ham/turkey sandwich made at home. I've been to Lees in Bolsa and Fountain Valley and Orange - this one seemed bigger and well kept. I mainly come to Lees for the one and only barguette. They're freshly made every day. I do not like breads in general but definitely a baguette fangirl at Lees. Their eggrolls taste ok. I've tasted better. Their Báhn Mi is mouthwatering and nostalgic for me - being that Lee's was where I first tried a Báhn Mi sandwich. The crispy outer baguette with a pillowy-soft center that's filled with savory meat (Grilled Pork for me), crunchy Do Chua (pickled daikon and carrots), fresh springs of cilantro, and spicy chopped jalapeños - now that's what I call a sandwich! I was in the area and I had to come check this place out because this was the first Lee's Sandwich drive-thru I've seen so I picked up one of their fresh baguettes to pair with my pasta dinner. It was great! Better than grocery store-bought because it was fresh right out of the oven. Pro-Tip: If purchasing their baguette, plan to use/eat it same day. This Lee's Sandwiches location is nestled in Garden Grove on Harbor Blvd. - just minutes away from Disneyland. There is quite a bit of a wait in the drive-thru but it wasn't too bad considering they were making my báhn mi made-to-order. You can also dine inside if you prefer. They have plenty of parking spaces at this location. You won't have trouble finding a spot. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back if I needed a báhn mi fix.
