Beware, not ony their prices higher than other Lee's, but they cheat you, one thin slice of each meat only while other places pack them....rip.off

I walked in , and waited for about 1minute before anyone noticed me waiting to order. The Sale today #6 Bbq Pork I ordered 2 with no Jalapenos. Tommy was my cashier, while my sandwiches were being made I went next door to 7-Eleven. No Jalapeño yay Ordered one for me and My son. The egg rolls looked yummy total of $21 or so So I indulged in my sandwich, but it's had a taste of fish ..I don't know of if my taste buds are acting up or they fried the pork in something with shrimp.. but I couldn't eat any more .. I haven't had the egg rolls yet. As I lost the appetite. Customer Service 3.7/5 Cleaning mess 4.0/5 Music 4./5 Snack on hand 4/5 Sides on hand 2/5 they didn't have much at of Anything wings/egg rolls/ etc. Atmosphere 2/5 in the hood

12/13/22 It was the closest banh mi place from the LB Collective so we gave this place a try. It's been a while since I've gotten a sandwich from Lee's. It was very dark in the parking lot & the parking spot in front on Lee's was very filthy with trash all over the pavement. It was so disconcerting that I almost backed out from going in. I wasn't sure if it was open because it appeared deserted inside the shop. As I neared the front door I saw an employee at the counter. I proceeded to order a grilled pork banh mi with the usual accompaniments: pickled carrots & radish/daikon, cilantro & jalapeños. I was craving an iced Vietnamese coffee-I wished the condensed milk could be adjusted but the employee said it's premixed. Huh? I thought there'd be a separate coffee & the condensed milk to be added. Oh well. It was made in less than 5 minutes (maybe less, wow!). The iced coffee hit the spot & I loved the creamy sweet coffee taste. My banh mi was pretty good but I have to admit, the one I ate at Bite me was much better. The French bread at Lee's was harder, it's chewy but the bread at Bite me tasted fresher with a softer chewiness. The jalapeño added a nice kick & it complemented the whole sandwich. The uncleanliness of the surrounding area deeply impacted my review because it reflects how the business handles its core values. I deducted a whole point for that. At least service was quick & the iced coffee tasted great though.

    ALL ICE

I finished my drink in 4 sips... not kidding... the coffee tastes great, but for $6.99, I'm not paying to have all ice!

Haven't been to Lee's sandwiches in a while, but I was close by and wanted a quick lunch. Wonderfully surprised by a few things. Not sure if changes were recently applied to all locations or just this one: daily promotion of $5 sandwiches (bbq pork on Friday, combination on Monday, etc), buy 5 get 5 on holidays, breads soft and toasted! I will visit again when I'm in the area because of all the above. I feel like Lee's really trying hard and it's working really well for them.

Cashier was nice. Ordered egg rolls that were good. Perfect eating temperature. The place is clean. Next time I'll try one of their signature sandwiches. I really wanted the Vietnamese coffee but at $3.99 plus tax with a buncha ice i was better off with getting an ice coffee from 7 11 next door for less than $2,

I have a witness who saw me bite into the sandwich, and the hair was wrapped inside the deli meat as it came out. By coincidence, I also have a home security camera that captured the moment. The hair did not come from my head--it had a blonde tone from end to end, unlike my own. You also stated that I received an item for free because it supposedly didn't ring up. That is simply incorrect. My card statement shows that I was charged for both items. I understand that you've been in business for 26 years, and that's commendable. However, every business can make a mistake. What surprised me most wasn't finding the hair--it was your decision to publicly accuse a customer of fabricating the experience instead of acknowledging that errors can happen. My review reflects exactly what happened. Rather than attacking my credibility and integrity a better response would have been to address the issue professionally and focus on making sure it doesn't happen again. Do better.

The server (owner?) asked if we wanted cheese and Cole slaw, and that's how we got it. The sandwich was big enough to share so if the sandwich seems pricey, consider sharing. Although on a hungry day, I could probably eat it all with no problem. Dilly's has a fairly decent amount of craft beers on draft. I wasn't in a beer-drinking mood so I didn't look too closely at the list. I love it when restaurants support local brewers, and this looks like the kind of place that would do just that.

Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

Once open, I was ready to check out Mendocino Farms for the first time. The menu at Mendocino Farms consists primarily of sandwiches, salads & soup. After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite. Peruvian Steak sandwich- Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.

The place has that comfortable, homegrown feel the moment you walk in. Handmade signs, local businesses advertised on the walls, and a steady stream of regulars giving the staff high fives, fist bumps, and asking how their parents are doing. This is clearly not just a place people eat. It is part of the community. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was very good. Soft tortilla, gooey cheese, flavorful chorizo, a little crispy bacon, and a reasonable price. Nothing overly fancy or trying too hard. Just a warm, satisfying burrito made the way a neighborhood favorite should make it. There were also quite a few military members from the nearby base, which adds another layer to the local pride and gives the whole place a little patriotic energy. I chase burritos. I have visited plenty of the famous places that show up all over Instagram and Yelp, so I would like to think I have earned at least a minor degree in breakfast burrito studies. Was this the absolute best burrito I have ever eaten? Probably not. But the feeling you get eating here, supporting a true local business, and briefly becoming part of something bigger than breakfast is right up there at the top. Definitely worth waiting in line. Building our own tiered platters was perfect. Truly, every bite was fantastic! We each had 5 sandwiches and 4 scones (of which we shared all). Although we had favorite sandwiches, all were delicious! The scones also hit the spot. All were unique...traditional, savory and sweet for the full spectrum. Unfortunately, we were full and never made it to dessert. Based on everything we tried, I'm sure all dessert offerings are probably great too. As for service....it was equally wonderful. Leone took great care of us, offered us suggestions, and gave us a bit of background on the place. Love that the owners are a mother daughter team from England. It truly was a traditional experience and wonderful to have in LB. Note: They keep it simple with sandwiches, scones, fruit, desserts and teas. No additional offerings of soup or salad like similar places may have. I can't wait to visit again!
