One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.

Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich. Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX. I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price.
