Beware, not ony their prices higher than other Lee's, but they cheat you, one thin slice of each meat only while other places pack them....rip.off

I walked in , and waited for about 1minute before anyone noticed me waiting to order. The Sale today #6 Bbq Pork I ordered 2 with no Jalapenos. Tommy was my cashier, while my sandwiches were being made I went next door to 7-Eleven. No Jalapeño yay Ordered one for me and My son. The egg rolls looked yummy total of $21 or so So I indulged in my sandwich, but it's had a taste of fish ..I don't know of if my taste buds are acting up or they fried the pork in something with shrimp.. but I couldn't eat any more .. I haven't had the egg rolls yet. As I lost the appetite. Customer Service 3.7/5 Cleaning mess 4.0/5 Music 4./5 Snack on hand 4/5 Sides on hand 2/5 they didn't have much at of Anything wings/egg rolls/ etc. Atmosphere 2/5 in the hood

12/13/22 It was the closest banh mi place from the LB Collective so we gave this place a try. It's been a while since I've gotten a sandwich from Lee's. It was very dark in the parking lot & the parking spot in front on Lee's was very filthy with trash all over the pavement. It was so disconcerting that I almost backed out from going in. I wasn't sure if it was open because it appeared deserted inside the shop. As I neared the front door I saw an employee at the counter. I proceeded to order a grilled pork banh mi with the usual accompaniments: pickled carrots & radish/daikon, cilantro & jalapeños. I was craving an iced Vietnamese coffee-I wished the condensed milk could be adjusted but the employee said it's premixed. Huh? I thought there'd be a separate coffee & the condensed milk to be added. Oh well. It was made in less than 5 minutes (maybe less, wow!). The iced coffee hit the spot & I loved the creamy sweet coffee taste. My banh mi was pretty good but I have to admit, the one I ate at Bite me was much better. The French bread at Lee's was harder, it's chewy but the bread at Bite me tasted fresher with a softer chewiness. The jalapeño added a nice kick & it complemented the whole sandwich. The uncleanliness of the surrounding area deeply impacted my review because it reflects how the business handles its core values. I deducted a whole point for that. At least service was quick & the iced coffee tasted great though.

    ALL ICE

I finished my drink in 4 sips... not kidding... the coffee tastes great, but for $6.99, I'm not paying to have all ice!

Haven't been to Lee's sandwiches in a while, but I was close by and wanted a quick lunch. Wonderfully surprised by a few things. Not sure if changes were recently applied to all locations or just this one: daily promotion of $5 sandwiches (bbq pork on Friday, combination on Monday, etc), buy 5 get 5 on holidays, breads soft and toasted! I will visit again when I'm in the area because of all the above. I feel like Lee's really trying hard and it's working really well for them.

Bonus stars for clean restrooms, plentiful parking in back, and for actually being one of the few restaurants open til midnight near Bixby Knolls, Long Beach. The owner is obviously making a real effort, and I'm grateful for quality late-night Vietnamese food that's much closer to home than the OC. I've had some chain-restaurant banh mi in LB that really skimp on the meat for the same price. The sandwiches are not quite as big as Pickle Banh Mi, but I prefer the thinly sliced meats at Pho Express. This will be one of my go-to places for the favorable hours and everything else :)

The place used to be a Mexican restaurant, and it is pretty evident from the exterior and the decor inside as well. The staff are all friendly. My cousin and I both ordered chicken pho and shared an order of egg rolls. I like that they serve theirs with romaine lettuce, vermicelli, shredded carrot, mint leaves and cilantro. It's quite tasty and refreshing to roll up the egg roll in the lettuce leaf with all the fixings. The chicken pho was very delicious, plentiful with the pieces of chicken and the toppings that they bring. I also ordered a jasmine green tea. It was such a fragrant tea. The first cup they brought me was not hot enough at all though. I was only halfway through with it when I requested if they could bring me another one, but hotter. Well, it was so hot that I could not drink it for 10 minutes. haha. Despite all this, I would return here if in the area. The restaurant is clean and well lit, except for the bathroom. The women's restroom at least could have been a bit better lit. There is a parking lot behind the building with entrances from the lot and from Long Beach Blvd as well. Keep it up!

YUMMY Food & Even Better Service!…read more We have been coming to this location through at least 3 or 4 different ownership changes, and I can confidently say that the current family running it is by far our absolute favorite! They have completely won us over--especially my husband. I could honestly eat pho every single weekend, but my husband has never been as big into Vietnamese food as I am. However, since this new family took over, they've updated the menu with a few brilliant additions that he actually loves, which means I finally get to go here all the time! While he has a rotation of three other dishes he really enjoys, his latest obsession is the beef stew served with warm bread. Beyond the food, the hospitality here is GREAT. The staff is incredibly friendly, sweet, and professional. They strike the perfect balance between being highly attentive and wonderfully personal. Every time we walk in, they make us feel right at home, and they are absolutely fantastic with our kids. As for the food itself? It is consistently delicious. I am very particular about my pho, and their broth is phenomenal--so rich in flavor, and the brisket is always perfectly tender. The rest of the family has nothing but praise for the beef stew, the chicken curry, and the grilled beef with vermicelli noodles. Ngon Yummy has truly hit it out of the park with their incredible menu and top-tier service. If you are looking for amazing food and a welcoming family atmosphere, this hidden gem is an absolute must-visit!

The food looked pretty good, and the portions were healthy. The food itself was pretty good for the Cerritos area --- not as good as Westminster or Garden Grove but decent for around here. Our server was great and came around a few times to ask if we needed anything. Our experience completely changed when we needed a to-go box for our leftovers. We saw a male server with blonde hair and glasses approaching our table, so we made eye contact (he for sure saw us) and waved him down. He completely ignored us and went to the table next to us. We said excuse me politely and asked nicely for a to-go container. He seemed like we were simply annoying him, and he had an attitude with us from that first interaction. He then got the to-go container and rudely slammed it down on our table and stormed off. We asked our server if we could speak to the manager, and the owner/manager ended up being the rude server! We explained why were upset, and he rudely responded that he's having a bad day, as if that justifies his bad service. It's one thing if a server is being rude, but it's another when the owner/manager is treating his own customers like that. He looked young, so maybe it's his family's restaurant. Either way, it's no way to treat customers, and I will not ever be coming back.

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

I ordered the pho brisket along with the crispy Vietnamese egg rolls (chả giò) through Yelp for pickup and drove out to grab it myself. The broth had really good flavor and definitely hit the spot once I warmed it back up at work. The brisket portions were generous, and the egg rolls were crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite part of the meal. By the time I got back to work, the pho had cooled down a bit, so I did have to reheat it, and I noticed some grease collecting on top of the soup after it sat for a while. Overall though, still a satisfying and comforting lunch on a cold day, and I'd come back again when I'm craving pho.
