I arrived just past 11am on a Friday and it seems they were having a tiny rush. A couple people in the lobby and some in line before me. The guy at the counter was handling everything from taking orders and payments to prepping in the back. He did so with a smile and was nice. I ordered 3 large Vietnamese coffee and 2 Banh mi sandwiches and only waited around 10mins. Those ordering only drinks were served quickly too. This is the worse Lee's sandwiches I've been to. I order a pork loaf sandwich and got some kind of mystery meat.. couldnt tell if it was gray chicken meat or gray pork meat.. I didnt eat it but my husband did and he got food poisoning form it. Never coming back. The place is fairly clean for dining area but behind the counter looks pretty cluttered of work space. This place has disappointed me but the mystery meat will never have me coming back. EAT/ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK. The workers aren't so welcome and just want to get you out. I walked in , and waited for about 1minute before anyone noticed me waiting to order. The Sale today #6 Bbq Pork I ordered 2 with no Jalapenos. Tommy was my cashier, while my sandwiches were being made I went next door to 7-Eleven. No Jalapeño yay Ordered one for me and My son. The egg rolls looked yummy total of $21 or so So I indulged in my sandwich, but it's had a taste of fish ..I don't know of if my taste buds are acting up or they fried the pork in something with shrimp.. but I couldn't eat any more .. 12/13/22 It was the closest banh mi place from the LB Collective so we gave this place a try. It's been a while since I've gotten a sandwich from Lee's. It was very dark in the parking lot & the parking spot in front on Lee's was very filthy with trash all over the pavement. It was so disconcerting that I almost backed out from going in. I wasn't sure if it was open because it appeared deserted inside the shop. As I neared the front door I saw an employee at the counter. I proceeded to order a grilled pork banh mi with the usual accompaniments: pickled carrots & radish/daikon, cilantro & jalapeños. I was craving an iced Vietnamese coffee-I wished the condensed milk could be adjusted but the employee said it's premixed. Huh? I thought there'd be a separate coffee & the condensed milk to be added. Oh well. It was made in less than 5 minutes (maybe less, wow!). The iced coffee hit the spot & I loved the creamy sweet coffee taste. My banh mi was pretty good but I have to admit, the one I ate at Bite me was much better. The French bread at Lee's was harder, it's chewy but the bread at Bite me tasted fresher with a softer chewiness. The jalapeño added a nice kick & it complemented the whole sandwich. The uncleanliness of the surrounding area deeply impacted my review because it reflects how the business handles its core values. I deducted a whole point for that. If I can give zero stars, I would honestly avoid this place at all cost especially if you want an iced coffee. Do not go here your best going to Starbucks because they charge almost 10 bucks for a large coffee but they fill up 75% of a cup with ice I told the front cashier if he can remove some ice and put a little bit more coffee and he says that everything is measured out that he will not put extra coffee in there because it's only 8 Ounces Then he measured and I'm like that's what you guys charge for almost 10 bucks and he was just like yeah we do so avoid going here because the prices are insane and they fill up the coffee with majority of ice. and then the front cashier with the long hair acts like he doesn't like his job which I understand I wouldn't either but at least have a smile on your face and don't be rude about it. Haven't been to Lee's sandwiches in a while, but I was close by and wanted a quick lunch. Wonderfully surprised by a few things. Not sure if changes were recently applied to all locations or just this one: daily promotion of $5 sandwiches (bbq pork on Friday, combination on Monday, etc), buy 5 get 5 on holidays, breads soft and toasted! I like Lee's. Not the greatest Banh Mi, but not the worst either. This one is very close to my home but i had never been (i usually go to Long Beach stores). The cashier was friendly, the sandwich was good, the service was prompt. People who buy from Lee's know what they're getting. There's no need to pile on another similar review. I am leaving this one because the store was unkempt and unswept and it leaves me concerned about the cleanliness of my sandwich. I'm not the first to comment on this. Outstanding coffee! Perfect amount of sweetness but they go overboard with the ice. By the time you take 4-5 sips the coffee is gone. The employees definitely need to work on that. Yikes. This was a woeful waste of a lunch. As someone who is mostly European, the sign on the outside reads "Lee's Sandwiches" followed by "Euro-Asian Sandwiches". They should take out the euro part completely and change it American-Asian Sandwiches. The quality isn't all that great. Usually the first word dictates the style of food that it's expected to service. I looked inside and say and article that was run where, presumable the owner, was inspired by using a baguette and a croissant. These two styles of bread are used elsewhere in other places and don't carry the European title at all. And if so, they would use the word "Parisian" instead. If ciabatta, foccacio, and cheeses and meats from Europe were used (and especially olive oil, roasted peppers, then we can start talking. They have a lot of options - which going by my dad's point of view (who is a 100% Portuguese) - the more the options, the less the quality in general overall. And he's right. That's why menu's with just a single page of items tend to be the best instead. The croissant was WAYYYY to buttery. Then the meat of the roast beef was hard and chewy. So much so, I couldn't bite it or chew it. It was simple grizzle. 2 large strips of it in the first half-sandwich pieces. It's gross having to manually pull out hard chewy meat. This was twice within a 2-minute period. Then a third time. Went back and asked for an exchange. They fortunately gave me a tuna sandwich which was better, but again the buttery croissant was too much and the pickled pepper to the side tasted dry and a bit gross. The red onions were off to the side instead of inside, yet I had whole almond slices which I wasn't expected. This was definitely unexpected and having a crunch in the tuna sandwich was a bit concerning. Little slivers here and there, okay - but without craisins or celery of that sort - really off putting. An in this pseudo Euro store - it's all Asian products on the inside they sell. So much for any Italian breadsticks or actual items from France, etc. read more

Years ago this place was great. Friendly service and clean store. Now the place looks deserted and the staff isn't so nice. The past several times I've came here, the staff got upset when I tried to order something and they don't have it in stock. How was I supposed to know? It's on the menu. LOL. I've learned to just go to the Lee's in Gardena. Just ok... my boba in my Thai Tea tasted old. It was hard in the inside but the Thai tea was fine. The pork banh mi was good except it didn't have much pork. The price is decent though 2.59 + .50 for boba and it was the wed special for the banh mi so 2.99. I spent a total of 10.59 for two Thai tea with boba and a banh mi.
