I called on a Friday to ask if I could bring my car in the next day (Saturday). The person I spoke with said they couldn't take me that Saturday, but could the following one--so I scheduled an appointment to drop my car off at 1 PM the next Saturday. When I showed up at my scheduled time, the shop was completely closed and no one was there. They never called to cancel or inform me of any change. I had put off my car service for a full week, drove all the way to their shop, and ended up stuck without the service I needed. This was a serious inconvenience and a completely avoidable one if they had simply communicated. It's a bad way to run a business and shows a lack of professionalism and reliability. Where do I start. I had my car towed to this location, it was approx 2 months I ended up calling and saying what is the status on my car; saying they had not looked at it since they didn't know whose car it was even though I called them before I had triple AAA drop it off. They looked at my car told me it needed a battery and a starter; I went to Costco dropped off a battery. Lies but okay please check the entire vehicle so I can ensure it is okay. Yes ma'am yes ma'am. Weeks later they said oh the car needs the timing belt replaced. No sooner I picked up the car and literally over 2500 later the check engine light came on. This place is a joke and the car was running loud and rough after dropping that money into it and still not correct. I feel like this place robbed me and should have said hey we cant do your car or your car needs xyz before they nickel and dime you!!! read more

Unethical and unspeakable service! I brought over my toyota for a front end upgrade. The manager "Pedro" assured me that he knew how to install aftermarket components. Next day he calls and days my vehicle is ready. I drive home and my steering wheel is shaking while the vehicle pulls to the right. Next day, I told Pedro that there was something wrong, possibly with the alignment. He said he did the alignment himself and everything was fine. I found out he uses his neighbor's old alignment machine to work on customer's vehicles. He also does not add all details to the report. That's illegal because he's not responsible in any way if a vehicle fails on the road. I left unhappy and decided to go to another shop. The new shop did a proper alignment, provided me with a report and also said that my ABS wire was cut and repaired. They suggested that I swap the cable because the cheap repair would cause an error with my breaks and possibly throw a check engine error. I called Pedro and he said he was aware of the repair and didn't think it was a big deal. I asked him why he failed to report the incident to me, the customer! He denied responsibility and promised to buy me an oem cable. Haven't heard ever since. The job was partially complete but what bothered me the most was the fact that they lie, they are not honest and they practice in a very obscure way. read more

I took my sedan to Pedro at Leesburg Auto Service for a diagnosis and to make a minor repair. A day or so passes by and the engine is extremely rough and the vehicle is riding poorly. Called Pedro and took it back in, amazingly a different part failed (no relation to my original need to bring in) and needed replacement. Pedro "replaced" the newly failed part and the issue did not go away. Hard to believe coincidences like this occur. This shop is dishonest. HORRIBLE place! DO NOT GO THERE. We were recommended this place by a gas station. After taken our car there and paying 3x of what other places would have charged we found out they installed old parts (we took the new piece) and did not replace what they told us. In fact, we had to take it back 9 times (not kidding) because the problem was not fixed at all and we had paid over $1500. Each time we picked up the car it was very filthy -pieces of chocolate, bread crumbs, stains, etc. (our car is light beige on the inside) regardless of how much I complained. They also broke the inside light which had three facets, denied it, got angry, and refused to fix it. A year later, we found out they had tampered with our car very unsafely. We met two other people with similar stories regarding this place. They are liars, they won't fix what they say, overcharge completely and refuse to fix the things they break.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. Worst experience! read more

Finding a good mechanic can be pretty strenuous. Thankfully I stayed within my area and found Pedro Del Carpio's Leesburg Auto Service. I've been a client of his for about 3 years now and I've always been provided with excellent service. From the minute you walk in you're greeted with a welcome from his wife, Mrs. Del Carpio, who works behind the counter or Pedro himself if she's not present at the time. This auto service shop is both English and Spanish speaking friendly which is great for those who only know one or the other. The quality of work here is top notch and the prices are more than reasonable. An example from my own experience is when I needed to replace the timing belt and water pump in my 2001 Honda Accord. I called up the Honda dealership and a representative told me it would cost around $1,000 and at least 5 days. Pedro and his team did the job in two days for $700 saving me both time and money. In conclusion, do not get discouraged by the lack of parking or if you're a new client. If you're looking for a great Mechanic and his team look no further than Leesburg Auto Service. read more

His prices were usually 50 - 75% less than the Toyota dealership quotes. He now works on our 2007 Jeep Wrangler, and has done routine service, as well as several after market part installs. After 2 years not once have I ever felt ripped off. Had to bring back a few days later and they told me now additional repairs would be needed, that it wasnt the first thing they fixed only. I am from out of state, Ohio. I checked 6 different repair shops in the Leesburg, Sterling area and chose Leesburg Auto service. I had a water pump go bad on my 2003 VW Jetta TDI (diesel), along with the water pump I had a new timing belt, rollers, tensioner and fluid replacement. This is required service on TDI's every 80,000 to 100,000 miles. I had this service done about 76,000 miles ago, so I just had everything done. It took them 1 day. Pedro and his shop did a great job. They are easy to work with and the price was very good, $850.00 for the work to be done. It may sound high, but this is actually a very good price for this area. I have a 2003 Chrysler convertible, i got it like 5 months ago and i have been taking it to Merchants; however, they scare me. At Merchants they want you to buy and change stuffs that your car does not even need. My uncle told me about this machanic and his experience with them. I took my car to Pedro and explained that other mechanics found a leaking on my coolant system. Other mechanics told me that the issue was a hose connected to the mentioned system; however, as soon as Pedro saw my car, he found out that the hose was not a problem at all. He told me that the problem was actually the coolant machine. He ordered the part withing hours and i made an appointment. Another thing that i liked about them is that they told me that my car would be ready at 4 which it was true. They called me at 2 30 telling me that my car was ready for pick up. Another important fact to mention about them is that they are not that expensive. It is very hard to find a mechanic that does not try to sell you stuffs that you dont need. He sent me to this place to see "Pedro". I had a few 02 sensors out and some loose hoses. Cost me $556. I already knew that was to much. Anyways a day later my engine light comes on again. I'm surprised to see a negative review for this place. Pedro is an honest and thoughtful mechanic, who has always charges less for repairs than I was quoted elsewhere. He won't make unnecessary repairs and will offer alternatives if possible. As a matter of fact I am waiting at the shop because the auto parts store sold me the wrong size part for a break pad replacement and he sent one of his employees out with the old part to ensure he'd get the right part. Where else are you going to get that type of service. Having a mechanic you can trust to be fair is a great thing, and I am glad I do. read more

My car failed emissions and Plaza Shell recommended Leesburg Auto Service. They all were amazing! Shell took my car there, Leesburg fixed it and it was so reasonable. I discovered that after having failed emissions and being repaired, it needed to be driven a certain number of miles before being tested again.The wonderful people at Leesburg Auto actually drove it for me AND returned it to plaza Shell, where it then passed.I can't believe they were so nice and courteous.It was incredible how helpful they were!!! DONT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!!! This is my first time writing a review I was so compelled after the service I received to warn other people. I was referred to Pedro through a gas station after my car just stopped on me. I was called by Pedro and told that it would cost $980 to replace the crankshaft sensor and since they r replacing that they recommended to also replace the timing belt. after having the car for over a week I finally picked it up and the same day it cut out again. The car was towed back to him again and the tow truck driver hooked it up to his diagnostic machine that said it was the cam shaft sensor come to find out Pedro never did an initial diagnostic on the car and there was a miscommunication between the gas station mechanic and Pedro so I didn't need the initial work even done, Pedro ordered the cam sensor and I paid him another $280. Less then 2 months later my car shut off on me again. This time I towed it to the dealership who discovered the work that was done initially was installed incorrectly and damaged both sensors along with cutting wires and using electrical tape to repair them. I warn anybody that takes their car here to be very careful as I have been taken for a ride with him and my car cost me another $1,000 to fix and replace what he initially did. read more

Can you leave zero stars? Too bad as I would. Took my van to Pedro at Leesburg Auto Service to have the spark plugs changed. After doing that (it went okay as I provided the spark plugs) he told me I needed and oil change and my lower radiator hose was leaking and needed to be replaced. This was funny as I just changed the oil myself less than 1,000 ago so the filter would be obviously clean upon a visual inspection, and I had no leak in my radiator hose as I would have noticed that. i declined these "extras". Got my car home and in 2 days it was driving like crap. Took it back to Pedro and now he tells me a fuel injector is bad and needs to be replaced. What a coincidence! I have spoken with another fellow who they did they same deal to- his issue was never fixed, always something else, and whenever he took it in a new problem arose. I'll never go there again nor will I recommend him to any one else. Is this guy even a licensed mechanic? From now on I go to the dealership. Might be more but at least I know if is done right and there won't be any monkey business with new issues popping up out of thin air. read more

I had great experiences with this repair shop for my older VW Jetta. We were referred there by another favorite inspection/ repair shop after that shop was not able to fix a couple electrical items on my car. Leesburg Auto Service gave us a reasonable price and quickly repaired my car in order to pass my annual inspection. Another repair we went to them for was to replace my side view mirrors after damaging them over the years. They were able to find used mirrors in the same car color and they worked and looked great! My final experience was to see if they could make repairs to my car to pass another annual inspection. However, Pedro called me after doing his initial inspection to talk to me about the extensive electrical repairs that would be required to pass inspection. After looking at the estimate for the repairs and the KBB value of car, we decided to trade in my old VW car. read more

I took my car here twice and also heard horrible stories from other people after my terrible experiences. They overcharge, they repair something and break another to make sure you are coming back in no time. They are just money hungry and Pedro's explanations make no sense because they are not willing to help their clients! Even when it's their fault that they haven't fixed or address the problem correctly they are not willing to repair it at no further cost. I'm surprised they haven't gotten sued by so many unhappy people. My car was towed here so I had no other choice to say the least they didn't fix it wanted to charge me so much just to tow my car back home when at first they had said they could fix it so I had to pay and then they wanted to keep my car probably to fix and re-sale saying it was more expensive to them than it was to us! I had to spend a lot of money but at least I preferred to donate my car then for this crooks to keep it! As it turned out I was able to get it fixed and re-sale it on my own. Do Not take your car here even if you have to get it towed to the nearest auto repair shop go somewhere else pay extra or it will end up costing you 5X more and ruin your emotional health as well. read more
