We got in an hour before they close on Christmas Eve and we're still greeted by smiling faces and hospitable attitudes. Everything came out fast. They never disappoint.

Great rolls for price. This is a very casual sushi spot! Great if you're just wanting something simple and quick!

Easy atmosphere to enjoy a great sushi meal. Fish is fresh and tasty. Generous portions with good size sashimi and nigiri sushi. Rolls are creative and delicious. Service is friendly and attentive.

This is a decent sushi place! I had the opportunity to do a super quick take out today and the service as well as the quality of the sushi both checked out. I was the only customer at the time of arrival at the restaurant at/around 3:45pm. Way past the lunch time; too early for dinner. Since the restaurant stays open not taking any break between lunch and dinner, the best time to go here either dine in or take out must be a little before 4pm. The lady who greeted me said it opened about two years ago. Conveniently located in the southeast corner of University and Dry Creek, it is still a very clean restaurant. And it's quite spacious too. The regular menu as well as the sushi menus are a good size with wide variety of dishes, nigiris and rolls. They only do happy hour for drinks however (M-F, 3-6pm, beers are $3 and BOGO hot sake.) All my nigiri sushis were a good portion; they tasted fresh. They gave me plenty of ginger and wasabi in the container. This is a good neighborhood sushi place I can count on for a quick quality meal and service. I'm pretty sure I'll swing by midday like I did today when I'm hungry for some nigiri in the future.

WOW! What an incredible spot for sushi. I came here with my sister-in-law, for a fun girls lunch out. The sushi was SO FRESH and the presentation was incredible. Do not sleep on this place, absolutely make time for a meal here.

Honestly, the weekday lunch specials are the best thing about this place. They are the main reason I come in! Good sushi, good appetizers, and decently quick service for sushi. I've never had a bad experience here, and the inside is always clean and inviting

We are entirely obsessed with this restaurant. The sake is buy one get one always and it is fresh and changed regularly, unlike other places. Fish is super fresh, rolls are delicious (sexy devil is our favorite), ramen particularly delicious. The service is the absolute best and we feel so welcome and happy when we are here. They also have a fantastic fish tank. We have become regulars because we cannot get enough of this place. I would 100% recommend trying it if you have not already.

This is my wifes favorite sushi spot in Colorado- so far. I also really liked this place, the sushi was great. The ambiance is a bit nicer sushi spot. The presentation of the sushi was fantastic, they used dry ice it was great. The service was good, they're gonna take good care of you. I felt the prices of everything was fair, better value than average. When I'm near this restaurant again I will definately be back. It's great to start finding fresh sushi spots that you like in Colorado. Lot's of good rolls, lots of yummy fish to try. Recommended & happy eating!!

As you walk in, pay close attention to their specials. When we went, they had a Taku Spring Roll - made with spicy tuna, mango, cilantro, jalapeño, avocado wrapped with rice paper. This was our second appetizer - we always start with their seared King Salmon - you have to try it. We also enjoyed their version of a spicy tuna biscuit. Their rolls are a bit large, so order carefully. You can always order more. The restaurant is bright, very clean to enjoy your lunch or dinner

Phenomenal dining experience from beginning to end. The space is not huge, but with the sushi bar,…read morethere is a decent amount of seating. I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

A poor excuse for a sushi restaurant. This place feels cheap in almost every way imaginable. They…read moredidn't even have real wasabi, which already tells you everything you need to know about the quality here. The sushi menu is tiny compared to any legitimate sushi spot, and the menu itself was filthy. Not "a little worn," actually dirty. First impressions matter, and this place failed immediately. There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. If you want real wasabi, go to a proper sushi restaurant. This felt more like a watered-down imitation than a real dining experience. 1/10

I was apparently not as fond of the food at this restaurant as other people have been. Let me first…read moresay that the service was extremely friendly and I liked it a lot, which makes me feel bad about what I'm about to say. Please note that I tried things that other people have mentioned in their reviews as things they liked. I had the crunchy tuna appetizer, which was essentially several golf ball sized lumps of rice deep fried, with a tiny amount of tuna and I think avocado on top. It probably should have been called the crunchy rice appetizer, and really was not, to me, worth $14. Next up was the Joker roll, which I believe is mentioned by more than one person as their favorite thing here. If you like pepper, it's the roll for you. I have never had such a peppery sushi roll in my life and I did not like it. My final roll was the mango roll. Now I know what mangoes are and I knew what I was getting, so I can't really blame the restaurant for the fact that I guess I've learned I'm not a big fan of sushi rolls with fruit on them. It was well made for what it was, just not my particular favorite. The miso soup was lovely. The restaurant was nice and clean and as I have said, the service was impeccable, friendly, really everything you would want. Which is all the more reason I was disappointed that the food did not ring a bell with me. If you go to this restaurant, I would suggest you avoid the things I've mentioned and perhaps try some others. You may have better luck than I did, and you will be served well in the process.

The miso soup was thin and flat -- barely any miso paste or soy sauce. The salad was plain lettuce, nothing else. A clear step down from what we remembered. Drinks The cocktail menu has been scaled back, and the quality followed. Skip the cocktails -- if you want a drink, wine is the safer call. A note on the lunch deal The lunch discount promotion has ended, but the advertising banners are still up. It felt deliberate -- get people through the door and hope they stay. Not a great look. Summary: 3/5 The restaurant has declined since our first visit. New staff, weaker kitchen, misleading signage. The hibachi show is still enjoyable, but it's no longer the standout it once was.
