We got in an hour before they close on Christmas Eve and we're still greeted by smiling faces and hospitable attitudes. Everything came out fast. They never disappoint.

Easy atmosphere to enjoy a great sushi meal. Fish is fresh and tasty. Generous portions with good size sashimi and nigiri sushi. Rolls are creative and delicious. Service is friendly and attentive.

This is a decent sushi place! I had the opportunity to do a super quick take out today and the service as well as the quality of the sushi both checked out. I was the only customer at the time of arrival at the restaurant at/around 3:45pm. Way past the lunch time; too early for dinner. Since the restaurant stays open not taking any break between lunch and dinner, the best time to go here either dine in or take out must be a little before 4pm. The lady who greeted me said it opened about two years ago. Conveniently located in the southeast corner of University and Dry Creek, it is still a very clean restaurant. And it's quite spacious too. The regular menu as well as the sushi menus are a good size with wide variety of dishes, nigiris and rolls. They only do happy hour for drinks however (M-F, 3-6pm, beers are $3 and BOGO hot sake.) All my nigiri sushis were a good portion; they tasted fresh. They gave me plenty of ginger and wasabi in the container. This is a good neighborhood sushi place I can count on for a quick quality meal and service. I'm pretty sure I'll swing by midday like I did today when I'm hungry for some nigiri in the future.

WOW! What an incredible spot for sushi. I came here with my sister-in-law, for a fun girls lunch out. The sushi was SO FRESH and the presentation was incredible. Do not sleep on this place, absolutely make time for a meal here.

Honestly, the weekday lunch specials are the best thing about this place. They are the main reason I come in! Good sushi, good appetizers, and decently quick service for sushi. I've never had a bad experience here, and the inside is always clean and inviting

We are entirely obsessed with this restaurant. The sake is buy one get one always and it is fresh and changed regularly, unlike other places. Fish is super fresh, rolls are delicious (sexy devil is our favorite), ramen particularly delicious. The service is the absolute best and we feel so welcome and happy when we are here. They also have a fantastic fish tank. We have become regulars because we cannot get enough of this place. I would 100% recommend trying it if you have not already.

Great rolls for price. This is a very casual sushi spot! Great if you're just wanting something simple and quick!

This is my wifes favorite sushi spot in Colorado- so far. I also really liked this place, the sushi was great. The ambiance is a bit nicer sushi spot. The presentation of the sushi was fantastic, they used dry ice it was great. The service was good, they're gonna take good care of you. I felt the prices of everything was fair, better value than average. When I'm near this restaurant again I will definately be back. It's great to start finding fresh sushi spots that you like in Colorado. Lot's of good rolls, lots of yummy fish to try. Recommended & happy eating!!

As you walk in, pay close attention to their specials. When we went, they had a Taku Spring Roll - made with spicy tuna, mango, cilantro, jalapeño, avocado wrapped with rice paper. This was our second appetizer - we always start with their seared King Salmon - you have to try it. We also enjoyed their version of a spicy tuna biscuit. Their rolls are a bit large, so order carefully. You can always order more. The restaurant is bright, very clean to enjoy your lunch or dinner

I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

They…read moredidn't even have real wasabi, which already tells you everything you need to know about the quality here. The sushi menu is tiny compared to any legitimate sushi spot, and the menu itself was filthy. Not "a little worn," actually dirty. First impressions matter, and this place failed immediately. There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. If you want real wasabi, go to a proper sushi restaurant. This felt more like a watered-down imitation than a real dining experience. 1/10

We had reservations and sat at the bar and enjoyed watching all of the mouth-watering food preparation. We started off with the lychee saketini. YUM! So light, refreshing, not too sweet and loved the itty bitty ice chips. The rest of the meal was amazing! I wanted to lick the ponzu sauce on the hamachi jalapeño. So so good! Loved the strawberry accents. Tofu burrata was a nice surprise, very mild and creamy with the puff flatbread. Wagyu just melted in your mouth. Great flavors. I wish I had taken a picture of whole big ass tuna as he brought it out and prepared it for us - I was in awe of how beautiful and fresh it was. Delicious! We tried the cool demon slayer sake and it was so nice and smooth, it may be my new favorite drink and replace my white wine for a little bit. Give it a try. The ice cream dessert with the two flavors was the perfect way to cap off the night. Definitely recommend you go!

Found out later that around 15 of the people were in one group. We were basically ignored by the girl behind the desk for 15 minutes. There was another couple in front of us who had been waiting for 30 minutes. After another 10 minutes they left, leaving us first in line. 20 minutes past our reservation time, we really started to complain to any employee we could find. The receptionist finally tried to tell us something, but her English was so poor we did not understand her. We SAW the manger but couldn't get close enough to talk to her. Once the party of 15 was seated there was some breathing room. Suddenly 3 people got up from the table closest to us and left, one saying to us "Good Luck". I walked over to those chairs and said we would take them. The first party at the table (you know how hibachi is), told us they had been waiting for an hour for something after their soups and salads, and that is why the other group left in a huff. Once we were seated the manager cleaned up the area and got a waitress right away - guess maybe she heard we were ticked off. I was glad we were able to help the other people at the table finally get some attention! I guess they had already ordered long ago, and so the waitress rushed us to order without giving us any time to look at the menu. She also pushed the fried rice pretty heavily; I had to strongly insist I only wanted steamed rice. Found out when the bill came that each fried rice was almost $6, so that explained that. Our soup, salad and sake came out quickly. Not long after the chef came and he was a very pleasant individual. But his "hibachi entertainment skills" were limited and his serving was pretty sloppy. Granted, he was now rushing to accommodate the other poor folks. The food. I ordered the vegetable hibachi, my wife the shrimp, and my grandson the steak and shrimp. They said theirs was very good. First, they gave me a huge helping of fried rice from the common pile. I did taste it, and it was fine. Then, they gave me vegetables from the common pile, the same amount as everyone else who had ordered a protein received. I had to complain to the chef that I should have steamed rice, and he quickly flagged down a waitress and I finally got that. But no more vegetables for me as those around me got their "second course" of protein. I was waiting for the chef to cook me some more veggies when he started cleaning the table! I don't eat that much so I wasn't overly concerned, but when the chef gave me a puzzled look, I said I was supposed to have vegetable hibachi. He asked if I wanted more vegetables. I said sure, and after a while a steaming bowl arrived, apparently cooked at another table. The vegetables were VERY zucchini-heavy, with a little broccoli and a fair amount of mushrooms. It was fine. We were not offered desert, and basically given the bums rush to get out of there. Like I said, not ever issue was the actual fault of the place - the cold caused reception-area problems, and once we sat I noticed that the one party was occupying an entire table, and a different party was occupying TWO entire tables, and they seemed to have come in at almost the same time. There was at most 12 tables in there, because it was poorly laid out. There was a giant television (nice one!) but it had a huge amount of empty, wasted space in front of it. There was a long section of booths by the windows, left over from the room's last incarnation, where I guess people could just order sushi or tempura - but none of them were occupied. If I want sushi I will go to a sushi place. We go to Japanese grills for the grilling! My major complaint is the management/staff response to the issues. The receptionist seemed to just shut down when things became overwhelming, and they should never have reserved three complete tables at the same time. Or, alternatively, should have better managed the reservations for all the parties of 3-5 (us). I really don't know why the families at the table with us had to wait for an hour for a chef to show up, except they were kind and nice. And by that point, we were not. Finally, when my check came back with the charge slip, it also included the charge slip for someone else. Our bill was correct, so I paid and tried to get a waitress/manager's attention to give them the other person's bill, but to no avail. I finally gave up and left it on the table. So, lots of little issues made the whole evening a lot less fun than it should have been. Entire time from butts-in-chair to walking out the door was maybe 40 minutes, to be generous, though wait time was closer to 30.
