TODAY: I called the Greenbrier location Friday to set an appt to have my retainer checked, they scheduled me for Monday (today) and i asked to confirm it's at the greenbrier location, i called this morning to confirm appointment time. I drive 25 minutes here and am told all ortho appointments are at suffolk location now. Nobody told me. The number on google that i called is for the greenbrier location and when you go through the phone prompts you choose which location you want, i chose greenbrier. The greenbrier location is very friendly, but again they don't do orthodontics any longer. I don't know if it's organization that is lacking, communication, or if this is just how things are done here but i am not a happy customer. Nobody seems to care about the inconvenience caused either! I've wasted too much time and money here!

When the associate took my call her tone relayed that she was not interested in hearing me out or making adjustments to remedy our inconvenience. So, instead of continuing with the call I asked for her email. The office associate told me her email and said it is spelled like "mascara" but with an L. What if I couldn't spell mascara.

I had to reschedule my appointments several times because of it, and they are unable to switch to another hygienist to avoid the inconvenience to spend like 20+ minutes to reschedule the appointment. The ambiance of the office was extremely relaxing and I didn't feel as if the process was being rushed, and my concerns were heard and addressed! I have really bad anxiety when it comes to dental procedures and even though they had to use a needle to numb the area, it honestly wasn't painful like past experiences with other dentist. I'm looking forward to future maintenance with this group!

After she left, I was told they didn't have anyone to do my cleaning. They said they were in the process of hiring someone. They didn't tell me this information when I made the appointment. A few weeks later, I get a bill for $162.00. They said Tricare didn't cover the total amount of my X-rays. This is the first time I received a bill for X-rays. I will not be going back.

No one mentioned obtaining copies of records prior to appt. They wanted to redo all my X-rays instead of communication with patient about need for transfer. Then the dentist claims it is "illegal" for him to get a cleaning done without them. What law?!! Communication with client is key and none was done in advance. I walked out with nothing.

Per Dr. Hamilton's recommendation, Suffolk Complete Dental Care referred me to Carson Endodontics for an evaluation & root canal retreatment. The endodontist there determined (after retreating my root canal) that another tooth, #13 was not salvageable and would likely need to be extracted. Dr. Lee followed up later (by personally calling me himself) and confirmed this, explaining we'd plan for the extraction and possibly a bridge. However, when I later called the office to schedule the procedure, the front desk said I was only booked for crowns--no extractions. I explained what Dr. Lee and the endodontist had told me, and the assistant said she'd check with Dr. Lee and get back to me. She called back and reassured me that no extraction was needed. I even called again--specifically stating I would not be happy if I showed up for the appointment and was told I needed an extraction. Despite that, Dr. Lee remained adamant: no extraction necessary. I paid in advance and came in expecting the agreed-upon treatment. Instead, I was blindsided. At the appointment, Dr. Lee suddenly tells me that tooth #13 absolutely needs to be extracted--and now #12 does too. I was completely caught off guard and unprepared, mentally and financially. What made it worse was the complete lack of empathy. No accountability. No apology. Just a cold, matter-of-fact delivery like this was just another day for him. But for me? It was incredibly upsetting. Now I'm left in pain, swollen, and struggling to eat while figuring out next steps. The front office staff has always been helpful--no issues there. But the communication breakdown and dismissive care from Dr. Lee were unacceptable. Dr. Lee completely mishandled my care. I was told one thing, paid based on that plan, then showed up to a totally different story. Now I'm in pain, frustrated, and honestly shocked at how this was allowed to happen. The front desk team? Amazing. Polite, helpful, professional. The office itself is clean and welcoming. But none of that matters when the dentist there is someone I can't trust. I will NEVER return. If this is how Dr. Lee treats his patients, I seriously hope corporate steps in before it becomes something bigger.
