For the first part of this review I'll briefly say that every experience I have had with Leffler has been positive. I casually joke from time to time that paying a bill shouldn't be fun, but it usually is - thanks to their wonderful customer service agents. I honestly can't remember ever speaking with someone at the company that was anything other than a joy. I don't know if she still works there or not, but I remember clearly working with a Christine over the phone who was a blast to speak with. The fact I still remember that call so positively is a testament to their great service. As for what I have had done, I have had two or three emergency calls, all promptly handled without any aggravation. I have also had several non-emergent issues taken care of, all of which also went down without a hitch. I don't know much about the company "Leffler" - but I do know people make the business, and they have some great people. For the second, and most important part of this review I wanted to mention their service technician, Allen. I gave a significant amount of positive feedback concerning Allen to the company personally so I am not going to repeat everything here verbatim; however, I will pick and choose from my initial feedback, as well as summarize the key matters in this write-up. Allen responded to an emergency call when my furnace quit working which left me without heat or hot water. He effortlessly got the job done, and noticed other areas of concern that were in dire need of repair. He understood the company's policies and service plans so that he was able explain on the spot what benefits were available to me. I honestly didn't even remember I had a service plan, despite probably being told countless times before. Before leaving for the final time, he recognized an issue that I would want to fix in the future and contacted their sales department for me to schedule an estimate. Again, he noted that I have an allowance for such purchases included within my service plan and gave me a run-down for how the process would unfold. Allen was an absolutely fantastic technician, and it was a pleasure working with him. All technicians have mechanical skills, I hope, but he also had something often missing in his line of work: people skills. He was genuinely friendly, and had an all-round welcoming personality. I am clueless when it comes to mechanical trades, and he was able to explain what the various components of the equipment did, what he was doing, and why it all mattered in a way that I could easily understand. One of the things I find most admirable, is that Allen made the job harder on himself by pointing out a few glaring problems and offering to come out again to fix them right away. I know this should just be part of the job, but many people take the easy way out and pass the buck as far as these matters are concerned. Allen didn't leave these problems until they needed to be fixed, or just for someone else in general, rather he took care of them himself without hesitation. It is service, like that which I have received from Allen which keeps me as a loyal customer. Anywho, I am always long winded and so I will end things here. As I have already told the company, Leffler has always been great to me, but Allen was on another level. He not only solved my problems, but he made my week. I'm writing to say thank you to Alan in Reading, PA. He is a technician for Leffler & he was at my house where I live with my father & our chihuahua this morning. Here is what I wrote on my Facebook without knowing his name. "As if our living situation couldn't get any weirder...last night, I finally got tired around 1:00 am & I'm in the habit of checking our thermostat before bed. Well, for the second time in a few years, the display was blank & I noticed it was a bit chilly in here. So, I woke Daddy up & he tried the reset button on the furnace & it came back on for two seconds & went off again. So, he called Leffler. I feel bad calling in the middle of the night, but thank God they have 24/7 service. The earliest they could get to us was 4:00 am, but Daddy said we'd survive until 8:00 am. I woke up at 10:45 & the guy was just finishing up. It got down to 66 degrees & when I looked about an hour ago, it was 72. Daddy called the guy a "Godsend" & guys like him truly are. With Covid-19 & all the stress from that, the last thing we need is to add being freezing in our home." Thank you Alan!! And thank you Leffler for your 24/7 service! I understand we have been in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is doing what they can. Having said that, after a different oil company left me high and dry (and cold) for the first season in my new house as in they failed to deliver, Leffler set me up, sent out a tech to get the furnace relit, and delivered oil to get me started. They sent a gentleman named Thomas who found the unfindable pipe. Five people out there couldn't find that sucker. He also labelled it so everyone else could. And as it's been cold and we did not have a historical record of consumption, I went through the 100 gallons they started me a bit quicker than expected. Not only did the handle it immediately, they also sent Thomas to refill the tank. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I hope not to find myself in the same situation as others and their negative reviews, but so far, it's actually been pretty smooth sailing with caring people who are knowledgeable about their business. read more

Became a customer this summer after last company we were with for 18 years closed up. Everyone we have dealt with from the start has been very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Had a new oil tank installed in July in the pouring rain. Techs never complained about being soaking wet or having to enlarge a hole in thick stone foundation and finished the job with a smile and Thank you. Price for tank was very reasonable. Had our boiler serviced today for first time. Tech Eddie was the most experienced tech we have had here from any company. Had a couple small issues he diagnosed very quickly and fixed. These problems have been going on for years before we were with Leffler but no one could figure them out. Eddie was also very friendly and explained things clearly. Ultimately, it was fixed. I have been a long time customer of Leffler Energy, and pay for a maintenance plan. Heat went out Friday night, called for service on Saturday morning. They came Saturday afternoon and said that I needed a service call scheduled for Monday morning. I asked to have them call me and let me know what time to expect them on Monday. Nobody called, so I called in on Sunday - no appointment had been set. She set the appointment for between 8:00-12:00 Monday morning. At 12:00 I called again and found out they moved it to 2:00-3:00pm, at 2:45 I called and they moved it to 3:30pm. I called at 4:00 and they didn't give me a time, just said I was next on the list. At this point I have been without heat for three days. Technician got there at around 5:45pm. He got the heat working (by doing the same thing the technician on Saturday did). Makes me wonder why I had to freeze for 3 days. read more

I highly recommend Leffler Energy. We had our furnace/oil tank check up today and thankfully Devante (tech 884) , found that our oil tank was leaking and we needed a new oil tank. I was nervous and confused about this discovery but Devante and Dan explained all of our options and were so knowledgeable, helpful and professional . They immediately put our oil in barrels to prevent a further leak from the faulty tank. The same day Dale from the sales department came out to give us the information on the new tank . He was also so knowledgeable and helpful and we are now set up for our new tank to be installed . This company goes above and beyond to help their customers. Stacy x 7875 talked to me like a person and not like just a number. She assisted me in my concerns about the frigid weather and my severe health issues and marked my account as priority so if anything happens i will get help very fast. I can not be without heat. I am so comforted to know they will be there 24/7 to get my heat running again. Al jackson was my technician and he came out and was so courteous and answered all of our concerns. He straightened out the new furnace we got from another company and fixed everything they did wrong. Very knowledgeable. Leffler is a huge company but they always know what the previous worker did and said to me. Very effiecient. I highly recommend this company to everyone. read more

As a new home owner and unfamiliar with my water boiler, I really needed someone who could take a look at my system and help me understand if it needed adjustment, maintenance or replacement. I was very pleased with the service call that I received from Leffler Energy. Their service technician, Thelonius was knowledgeable about my system and was able to test and show me the results on the efficiency of my water boiler. He was gracious to take the time to explain things, answer all my questions, and even took the time to adjust the system for me as I was unfamiliar with how to change the water temperature output of the system. I had mixed experiences depending on the area I worked with, but I want to focus on the positive. Recently had a new boiler system installed and the techs were absolutely AMAZING! They were informative, prompt, respectful and professional. It was a stressful situation as it was not something I expected to need but they made it easier to cope with. Respect towards Steve and Rob. They truly made the difference especially following having a not great experience with a customer representative. I appreciate their time (spent about 16 hours total across 2 days), patience (parts were missing) and attention to detail (they solved a door clearance issue for me to make things easier for me later). read more

my 90 year old mom lives by herself. Leffler Energy has serviced her for years. Her eyesight required an updated, larger thermostat. so I contacted Leffler and arranged for a new, larger unit to be installed. Devante (#884) arrived with David (#813) to install the thermostat & instruct us on its functions. they were very kind but professional. Devante also ensured that both the heater and the A/C worked appropriately. All our questions were answered. We thanked them and my mom told me this was a wonderful experience. I had my yearly service done today on my furnace.Which I highly recommend to everyone to have done each year. Peace of mind I call it. We have been a customer of Leffler energy way back probably 26 years always get the service plan also. But back to my review the technician James number 894 is his technician # It is the first time he has serviced our furnace but I highly recommend him he was very informative answered any questions I had of concerns. During a routine yearly cleaning of my furnace Leffler Energy technician, Eddie discovered my 23 year old oil tank was beginning to show signs of deteriorating. He reported the problem to their service department. VALERIE called the same day. An appointment was made to access work involved to replace the tank. Today two installers, Steve and Bryan arrived on time and went right to work. They replaced the faulty tank, lines, filter, vent and fill pipes. I use Leffler Energy for a non-profit organization I am part of. We use a lot of oil between our 3 furnaces. Amy D. at Leffler has been extremely helpful and responsive in getting our account set up, answering all of my questions, and getting us oil as soon as I email her that we are getting low. Before choosing Leffler, I shopped around with several other oil and service providers but Leffler had the best customer service and timely responses out of all of them. My central air needed to be replaced. This was done on July 11 by (3) technicians from Leffler Energy. They were courteous, professional and industrious. They answered all my questions and showed me the ins and outs of the thermostat that was replaced. I have been with Leffler Energy since 1980 and have experienced excellent service from this company for my oil furnace and my central air conditioner. I would highly recommend them. Most recently, our furnace stopped working, within 2 hours someone was here & within 1 1/2 hours the problem was fixed & we had heat. Technician explained the problem as he fixed what needed done. I had my oil tank filled in May,2020 came home from shopping and it was leaking in basement. The fuel was delivered by their parent company Patriot. I called them and within an hour they had two service men from Leffler out to drain tank into barrels and clean up my basement. Two weeks after that they came and installed a new tank outside of my house. Everyone has been very professional and great to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more
