I decided not to blow an entire paycheck on the three gazillion plants that I wanted to buy, but the clerk that was working was so much fun to talk to and he and I were working with a patron that had had several drinks before coming into the shop and was having a jolly old time shopping.I found the clerk to be incredibly knowledgeable and totally professional and anytime I need plants or plant supplies, you bet this is my first stop!

They have great value, and everybody working there was super friendly and kind. The prices are definitely cheaper than the big box stores for a lot of stuff and all of their plants are extremely healthy-they have a good variety of vegetables as well and they look worlds different from the things you can buy at the big box stores!! Their prices are very reasonable. I always have the best luck with their plants, they take-off quickly and thrive. I can always find a few unique plants that I have never seen nor read about. It is always fun to bring home something that I don't already have. All of the wonderful folks at Deep Creek are kind and helpful. It's definitely enough to make a beautiful bowl garden. Echo Valley Natives is a small family owned retail nursery specializing in quality and ethically…read moregrown PNW native plants. They first opened in 2001 in Oregon City. In 2021, they moved to Sandy. Their website maintains an availability sheet so you can see what they've got before you make the drive out, but it is worth visiting to see the plants in action. They have small display gardens. The entire property is outdoors so dress warmly in case of rain. They're open year round, but at a high enough elevation that they get snow in winter so plan accordingly. I recently visited looking for plants to go near my frog pond. The staff was so helpful in showing me around to potential options. I have a decent native plant knowledge but they've got so many options! Plants I've never heard of before! As usual, I left with more plants than I planned on getting :) So far, they're happy in the ground, and I can't wait to see how they thrive in spring. Keep an eye on the business's social media for sales. Oh and they accept nursery pots back so you don't have to trash or recycle them!

The owners have a ton of knowledge about their plants and have a large variety. They grow most of them themselves and propagate many of them so there are already beautiful mature leaves on even the smallest plants! As I left, the owner flagged me down and gave me a little pepper plant. So happy to stumble upon this little indoor nursery and will be back! (Also note: the Cully Farm Store next door did end up having the herbs I needed.)
