Everything was just perfect! I was on my way home to Madison from Minocqua, and stopped in Stevens Point for dinner. I dislike going to fast food restaurants, and prefer the little, out-of-the-way, or not so out-of-the-way places that are usually super tasty. Picked Legacy at random, and I was not disappointed. Soups of the day were chicken and dumpling, and taco. I had the chicken and dumpling, and oh wow, was it delicious. Scratch made, apparently. Could use slightly larger chunks of chicken, but it was very present. Never had a broth so flavorful! Aside from the cup that goes with your meal, I also had a bowl of it, it's that good. My meal was a simple patty melt, and they accommodated my request for mushrooms instead of onions quite easily. I was either very hungry or it was just that good. Perfect burger meat, cooked medium, with little grease drip, American cheese and on marble rye. And a pickle on the side. Heaven tonight. I missed out on pie, as it wouldn't survive the ride home. My food has been fine. I come about once a month since they opened because I like the fresh cut fries. I've had good waitresses and not so good ones - although the worst one I had is no longer here. Thank goodness. My biggest complaint, And it does bother me enough that I will probably quit coming. I just kept thinking it would get fixed during a health inspection. But here we are over a year later and it is still happening. The hostess - who I see go everywhere, even into the kitchen, ALWAYS wears a tank top. Underarms flying everywhere. Having worked in restaurants previously that used to be a HUGE no-no. I find it extremely gross. read more

Yummy food, friendly atmosphere. My husband and I eat there frequently and always enjoy ourselves. I love their omelette with a pancake. The owners are usually there chatting with and checking on their customers to make sure the food is good. We highly recommend the place. read more

This used to be the old Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant before they moved to the old Charcoal Grill building. So this establishment was conveniently located next to a hotel and gas station. Parking lot is plenty. I ordered the Hot Open Face Sandwich and my husband ordered Rover's Special. It came with complimentary soups. Choose the potato soup! Oh my goodness, it's so flavorful. I can't wait to eat some during the cold winter months. With that said, I think the food is very mediocre. Not a bad thing as I would rather eat here than a lot of similar restaurants in the area. I didn't care for their Reuben pizza. My food, mainly the gravy, was heavily salted. I couldn't finish my meal because I was full from drinking so much water. My husband's burger was also very salty, greasy, and it dripped down his hand. I took a bite, just greasy with not a lot of flavor other than salt. The restaurant has a laid back vibe. Our server was so kind and very chatty. She was upbeat and willing to assist. She answered a lot of questions and suggested items from the menu. This isn't our last stop. My wife had a hair in her pancake. We ask to have it redone, but (and this is no joke) they put the same food out. I was shocked. I could tell because a mark on the plate was still there and there was an unusual formation of the pancake and the shape was the same. My wife insisted on fresh food not re-inspected potentially contaminated food. They didn't even offer a discount of any kind for their disgusting mistake. The turkey on my club sandwich was dry and old looking. The rest was good so a BLT would have been ok. My wife also needed some more creamer for her coffee and I said, "Ma'am?" To get her attention and she continued to walk away from me and held her index finger. A proper response would have been, "Just a moment, sir."
