This year we got to go on a weekday which was so nice because we missed the crowds :) Ample parking, there's a few overflow lots available and they seem pretty stroller friendly. Bob's has a lawn with tons of pumpkins to choose from, a place to get fresh donuts, a few food stall options, a fudge shop, a country store where you can buy local favorites, a wagon ride, corn maze, and so much more. The free things are the pumpkin lawn and the country store, otherwise everything else is an extra cost for a reasonable price. I love picking up some corn, small pumpkins and honeycrisp apples at the country store and then finding a large carving pumpkin :)

Lots of cars in the parking lots on a weekend, but the farm is big and doesn't feel too crowded. There's lots of pumpkins and a bunch of photo stops. Tried the slides, zip-line, basketball, and the small tractor tow around the dirt course. Was fun. Bob's is known for their large corn maze. The adult maze is on the other side of the road, and you get their by taking the hay ride. More pumpkins and sunflower field on that side too. The maze is pretty big. Took me 20 minutes to walk out following the map. Probably takes 1-2 hours if you don't use the map. As for food, they have mini donuts, cider, burger, pizza, chicken tenders. Tried the mini donuts which were fresh and tasted pretty good. They have pumpkin and apple cinnamon flavors. Overall I enjoyed the experience, as an adult. All the kids there seem to be having a good time. Fall festival tickets not that cheap but most of the other farms charge similarly.

There's many options to see the sunflowers in the valley, but this is hands down the best. The snack shack has amazing, fresh treats that vary for the seasons. The real shaved ice in the summer is on point. Also a fun outing for Christmas trees. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, the best hand made wreaths and a fun you cut experience. Don't miss the mini donuts and espresso at the snack shack. There's farm animals to see and amazing views of the valley. I always highly recommend Lora Lees to friends wanting a day trip to the valley. Everyone has raved about the experience.

And Lora Lee's was the perfect place to break my streak! It's only 45 minutes from Seattle, in an idyllic setting, with friendly staff and a ton of vibrant, cheery sunflowers. We did the sunflower maze which was beautiful and not hard. There are lots of bees but they don't really care about people--they're busy with the flowers! They also have a little stand with shave ice, coffee and snacks and some tables and chairs so you can sit and relax in the lovely setting. I believe they rotate sunflower maze locations--the one we went to was a bit of a walk. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, as the ground is a little bumpy. I definitely want to add Lora Lee's into my flower-pilgrimage rotation!

I tried asking the workers, but they didn't have any knowledge about it and then sent me to the front ticket booth. Let me tell you, trying to figure what was going on was a Kafkaesque nightmare. I crashed at least three other gatherings as I was being directed from one place to another. Whoops. Anyways, I finally found my group and we picked apples. I like how they had labels on each row of trees to identify the cultivar. It also turns out that they put a few crabapples in each row for pollination purposes, but they're very obviously not to be picked as the fruits are small. Apples were $3.50/lb, but slightly cheaper if you buy them pre-picked. The fresh apples taste much better than the ones in grocery stores, which can be stored for up to a year in warehouses. I was surprised to find the fresh apples were more crisp with thinner skin! I got a cider doughnut before I left, and it was so soft, tender, and pillowy! There was great apple flavor.
