I was extremely disappointed by my interaction with Richard, the Senior Admissions Coordinator for Legacy. After the conversation with him, I decided to not consider Legacy. During my conversation with him, I asked about the program's focus, particularly around mental health support without substance abuse, as the website heavily emphasizes substance abuse treatment. His response was unprofessional. He cut me off from speaking and he referred to individuals attending these programs as "sketchy" (his words, not mine), which I found offensive. He also told me that the Fort Lauderdale location was only accepting substance abuse patients, contradicting what I was told by another admissions representative, who assured me the program was not limited to that focus. His tone came across as condescending, and his behavior was completely inappropriate for a mental health facility. A different intake staff member called me back afterward and said that Richard was "new," but that is not true. He has been with the company for years. I appreciate the last person recognizing that Richard was out of line and calling to smooth things over, but the damage was done. I'm writing this review so others do not have to experience what I experienced as they search for mental health support. read more

Say what you want about Legacy Healing Centers! Are they perfect? No. No rehab is. You have a voice to say something and they do listen and there are grievance forms. They make strip down squat and cough. Why? It's for protection from yourself and others. You have to remember in recovery IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU! That's why you are in recovery in the first place because you made it all about you, The first few weeks are tough. But recovery isn't meant to be easy. You learn how to relax and chill in detox. You get to try alternative forms of recovery methods in detox like sound therapy... it's pretty awesome. Then you go to clinic and move into a beautiful house with a pool. A little more freedom. 6-7 hours at the clinic for 6 days and Sunday you get a day off. You meet some wonderful people. Also they take the house groups on outings every Sunday. It feels like family. It was like family to me. The clinic offers a lot. You get a case manager, a therapist, a trauma therapist, access to chiropractor and massage therapist, brain paint( it's pretty new and interesting), nutritionist. and so many other experts in the field. You will really love Miss V, Then you have two other levels. I chose PH apartment living so I could utilize the clinic. I got to live in the apartments for my last two weeks but still had to go to clinic for the 6 days. I had freedom to explore Margate and do walks and capture some beautiful pictures of Florida. I'm from San Francisco so it was an experience for me to be the sunny state of Florida. I had to be in my 10pm. I worked the Doctors and psych nurse practitioner to get me on the right medication before returning home. read more

my step son just left after 8 nights at $7,000 per night. we have amazing insurance which they capitalized. he was able to Uber daily to purchase drugs and was high on heroine and opioids the entire time he stayed here enjoying daily massages, gourmet food and a swimming pool. he left this place and went to detox today. if you want to keep doing drugs in a luxurious environment and have your insurance pay this is the place for you. what a joke. read more

You better think twice before trusting your life with this place. Admissions will tell you anything in order to get your money. The food was horrendous. I found the doctors full of them selves and without compassion. Sure there were some good people working there, but mostly you were just another patient to deal with. At a time when you are most vulnerable, this is not a place you want to be. On top of it all the 250.00 cash I had in my pocket when I got there was not in my wallet when I left. Don't be fooled with the sales pitch. They will tell you anything to make a sale. read more

Legacy Healing deserves more that 5 Stars!  The staff is extremely passionate about the care the clients receive. First place that gave real HOPE to the hopeless.  Case Management took an "un-manageable  life" and built a solid foundation so that recovering could be the main focus. The therapeutic team worked magic!!! The residence is heaven, a real sanctuary surrounded by the most the most loving, caring and compassionate tech staff.  Literally a treatment experience beyond anyones " wildest dreams". read more

Legacy is eager to help until they get your money! 25,000. A month and you go to meetings! No better than a cheap rehab! Was not told the truth about the important things. They do not get enough counseling to help. Maybe 1x a week. It's a glorified 12 step program. They say you have a room by yourself and you can be in a room with 3 other people. read more

I have been struggling with addiction for years, having been in and out of many treatment centers. Legacy was a completely different experience from anything any other center. The staff was amazing, caring, compassionate, and I was able to get a lot of one on one time with the Dr's and therapists. The accommodations were amazing, I was in a house that looked like it was out of movie.... Food was prepared by a chef, I was able to exercise, they had acupuncture and massage.... All these amenities were helpful, but most importantly is that I have been clean and sober for over 2 years. I live in Philly and was skeptical about coming down to Florida for treatment; however I decided to move down here and it was the best decision I could make. I am actively involved with the Legacy Alumni, and have a very strong support group. I do not usually write reviews, but I saw a bad review on here and have no idea how that could be possible, so I wanted to share true insight. I love that Legacy is founded and run by people who have struggled with addiction and found success in recovery themselves. To me this conveys a great deal of trustworthiness in a time when there's a lot of corruption in the rehab world. When you're struggling with something as serious and dangerous as addiction, you want to find a place that will help you actually heal, not just get better temporarily and then relapse again and again. Legacy's whole mission is helping get to the deeper root causes of addiction. They focus on healing past traumas, teaching new healthy ways to cope with stress, and helping you to achieve great health on all levels through diet, exercise, meditation, building a social support network, and lots of other positive lifestyle changes.
