We ended up calling Legacy because we noticed water coming from our outside drain. They were able to come out a day later to assess the situation. Abel was our technician. He arrived at the top of the estimated timeframe. He was very informative answering any and all questions we had. He fixed what needed to be fixed and never not once tried to up sell us on anything that we didn't need which was great and says a lot about him and the company! We did inquire about a sensor for our a/c pan and a device to eliminate air filters. He gave us his knowledge on both and was able to get us a quote. We opted to get both installed. He was able to do our sensor today but someone (hopefully Abel can come back, he was amazing) has to come back in a week because the parts have to be ordered to complete the box. Our experience was a great one. From scheduling the appointment to have someone come all the way to having the technician come out. If I could give them less than one star I would. We lost heat and we're without for days. They sent a technician who was here less than 20 minutes and told us that we need a whole new system for $10k. He showed us pictures of mold and told use there was no freon in the system, that the power board was fried, etc.. He then charged us $80.00 and left. We then had another company come out and he was here an hour and a half and charged us $0 and simply reset the thermometer. He said there were no other issues and that he couldn't check the freon because it's too cold out. I'm disgusted with a company that would come in and not even try the small fixes and jumps straight to the most expensive fix. read more

This company has completely restored my faith in air conditioning companies!!! Only use LEGACY A/C. MY ENTIRE STORY FOLLOWS: I originally had contacted Woods Comfort Systems in San Marcos when my 10 year old Trane air conditioner stopped working. Their technician charged me $50 to tell me my condensor motor was bad, and needed to be replaced for $1,800. Then their "comfort advisor" advised me not to replace the motor but that I would better off replacing the entire inside and outside unit, thousands of dollars!! So for a cost of $500, I replaced my own motor I bought online but after a week it stopped working also. Then I contacted Legacy A/C in New Braunfels. Raymond, a BRILLIANT technician came out today and checked my entire system and found the source of my problem. My drain line had become clogged and my top of the line Trane system has an automatic shut-off that shuts off the system to prevent an overflow, he cleaned out the line, and for only $129 my air conditioning system if running great. LEGACY AND RAYMOND WERE HONEST AND SOLVED MY PROBLEM!!!! Thank goodness there are still companies out there like Legacy who conduct business the RIGHT way. Whatever my a/c or heating problems are in the future, I will ONLY USE LEGACY AND RAYMOND!!!! I needed my A/C repaired so I was browsing for companies in my area (Canyon Lake) I came across Legacy Services, and decided upon the great reviews to call them to see if they could accommodate me same day, fortunately I spoke with Katie and she made it happen!!! Same day appointment which was already a good sign this company was all about the customer! My service technician Kyle was dispatched to my home, (much sooner as someone cancelled) he was very professional and straight to the point he found one of the capacitors in the A/C unit in the attic was faulty he showed me the values of the capacitor which was under specifications, which shows the company's integrity and transparency! Needed my AC checked out and my furnace inspected, Travis showed up in the 2 hr window I was given, found one small issue with my AC and showed me how to take care of the system better and make it last longer. He also checked the gas furnace and told me it was working perfectly. Gave me some filter recommendations and rinsed out my AC's coils. A very nice guy who would NOT accept a gratuity. They never returned my call when I questioned the quote of $550 for the replacement control board. Luckily we found another business that replaced both boards for less than $500. read more

Was not too impressed with the first four (and beginning to get worried)...then Travis Zunker from Legacy came to visit. He spent the time to review our situation and go aver the options that were available to us. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the products and HVAC in general. Needless to say, we picked Legacy and am very glad we did. Travis, Raoul, Frank and the rest of the crew came out the following week (it will be three weeks tomorrow) and hauled off the old (23 years old) equipment and installed the really, really cool new high tech system.
