Air Conditioning When our A/C stopped working, we contacted Meyer - a local NB company based on good reviews. I told their office my wife would handle the decisions on the repair as I was stuck in an evening meeting. Their tech arrived and almost immediately decided we needed a complete new cooling system for $20,000. He reminded my wife 3 times that "your husband said it's your decision" while continuing to steer her towards a new system. Thankfully she resisted the pressure and the following day we contacted small NB A/C repair company which responded immediately and $175 later we are enjoying a cool home again. read more

Yesterday we woke without any heat and it was a chilly 46 outside. We contacted Meyers as we have maintenance arrangement with them. At first it seemed they could not come till Monday. That was not going to work as I have COPD and am on oxygen 24/7. We explained the situation with Mr Meyer. He understood we needed help sooner than Monday. He made arrangements for another technician to come to our house. Heat was restored before noon. We appreciate the service we received and recommend Meyers for your air/heating assistance. read more

Bought a brand new AC some years ago, when we signed up we requested to pay for the membership to have it serviced twice a year, but apparently the person who signed us up did not select certain buttons on our account, (according to their parts manager) Tried to schedule a service and it appeared we were on the schedule but because they have been updating their system they were not even aware we were on the calander so they never showed up, (according to the manager) called to confirm we were on the schedule the second time and was told they would call me back and never did so I went into the office only to be talked over and when I requested the owners info I was told no but could get out of her office. Tried to get them to come for the last 3 weeks and was criticized for not contacting them after they failed to show up even tho my work doesn't always allow me the freedom to make phone calls, but I would have paid any amount to have my ac serviced in this emergency because we have small animals (chinchillas) that require ac or they could die from the heat. Worst customer service, rude and only made excuses instead of trying to find results!! Beware of this company, system issues are ongoing, communication is terrible and the manager is more focused on her looks than assisting customers. Not to mention the AC is not even that old and has had issues the last 2 years. We had it serviced last year but because it does not show that in the system they say they are having issues with, then it was implied that I am a lair! I would not recommend this company to anyone!!! To say the least I am very disappointed consider how much money we spent on it!! read more

Crooks. Paid for full year service and they did not perform. Did winter service in February and AC stopped in March from plug drain line.

August in Texas! AC goes out when returning from out of town. They were super helpful with setting a quick repair time and the unit service could not have been better. Trustworthy, kind and fair. Don't hesitate to use. They will be our first call when it's time for a new unit!!! read more

We purchased a RUUD unit with Meyer years ago. They have been the only company to service the unit. Every time we have ever had an issue, they make sure they can get to us ASAP. Always very kind on the phone and the service guys have all been really nice. Last night it showed an alarm and they walked us through things over the phone to get the heat back on and were here at 8am to do a complete evaluation. One phone call it was a done deal, in less than 5 minutes. 18 month financing (no interest) was perfect and affordable. Everyone and I mean everyone was helpful, courteous, friendly and through, including installation and follow up check to see if A/C unit was running and the handler in the attic. I was very unhappy with Meyer and caution anyone from using them. I was unsure who to call so I simply picked at random. When the guy from Meyer called me back he said, "Well, are you sure you want me to come? It's going to be $140 just for my service call. And that doesn't include all the parts and labor of whatever I need to do." I thought that was strange. I called for a reason - my a/c doesn't work and it's the summer time! Of course I was you to come...why would I have called. His attitude over the phone made me uneasy so while he was in route to come to my house I googled reviews on Meyer Heating and Air. One stuck out to me - it said they were rude and basically took 5 min to conclude the whole unit was shot and they needed a new unit for $6k. I wondered if that was what I was in for...... When the gentleman showed up he was mad because my do was with me. Well, yes, my dog will be with me as a strange man is coming into my home. He went up to check the unit in the attic and the fan outside. He came back in and told me I had a severe leak in the coil and it would be $2,800 to fix. But he said he wouldn't recommend it because it wouldn't last long and my unit was outlawed so it really served no purpose. He quickly quoted me $8k for a new unit to which I replied I would need to think about it. The next day I called a reference from one of the local remodeling companies in town - they recommended Williams A/C and Repair. The guy showed up, went up in the attic, checked the outside fan, etc. When he told me there was a very minor leak he said it would be easy to fix. I told him someone had been here the day before and said the leak was massive. He said there was no way anyone had made any effort to actually take the unit apart the day before to visually inspect any kind of leak. The unit hadn't been touched in years. He repaired the minor leak very quickly and said we were likely good to go for another 3-5 years before we should be prepared to replace the unit. And then charged us $350 for service call, parts, and labor. Wow...that's two completely different stories, eh? read more

Let me start by saying I have known the Myer family for 4 decades. As a boy William " Bubba" Myers was taught a few simple fundamentals. A mans word is a must, a honest days pay for an honest day worked , to be fair and kind. I know this to be true. Home grown , always working for the man , making them rich and taking orders that just didn't care. Bubba saw a better way and decided , against dads wishes, to go out on his own. To here him tell the story , it's very interesting. What I would like to say that this year he installed a mini split for me. He graciously gave me a senior citizen discount with a smile and an installation with him on the job site. Impressive. After a few months of have had time to write this review with confidence and absolutely zero remorse. I grade him an A+ and I can be very , very picky. Give Bubba a call. Tell him Catmon Dave sent you. In closing , this is not a one man shop. Bubba has built a team. From the front office , the ladies are so nice to the technicians that handle the hard installs. We own an indoor inflatable place that throws several parties each day and when the air conditioning goes out, that ruins all of these parties for these people who have planned for months.
