Cheese bread- great texture, cheese was pulling apart, crust had a flavorful parmesan/italian seasoning dusting. Review Update: Updated 2/2/2026: I'm back to officially eat my words--along with a lot of pizza. If you saw my first review, you know I wasn't a big fan. But after two follow-up visits, I've realized my first experience was just a fluke. I'm now a total convert. The Game Changer: I asked for my pizza well-done this time, and it was perfect for me. Legacy is always on their game. And tonight's visit was no exception. A snowy, cold night, and the staff "braved" the weather to open. The very least we could do was support their heroic effort by stopping in. And we weren't the only ones. Lots of filled tables, and though they were short staffed, they didn't miss a beat. Excellent service. The same great food. We always start with the house salad. A large bowl of lettuce, tomato & cucumber. We appreciate Legacy not filling up the bowl with croutons. (we only pick 'em out). We try to fill up on the salad so we have leftovers to take home. My wife avoids gluten, so her "go to" dish is the spaghetti squash pasta. She wanted to try the new lemon picatta, but wanted the more hearty marinara to match the chilly weather. Me? I'm always torn between the huge Stromboli, the meatball sub or pizza. Stopped here for lunch this week. This was not my best week and making meals and bringing them to work lol! I called in for a drive-up order and got their stromboli. It is a specialty that they make and I highly recommend you try it at least once! I personally am going to take my husband back here and order a large so we can Chow Down. It sounds super weird because it has some mustard in it but it is unbelievably delicious. I don't think you can make any substitutions anyway but even if you can, go ahead and leave it alone! First time here due to reviews. Nice antique furnishings and ole time setting. Kind of reminds me of an ole soda store and maybe pharmacy. Limited street parking but it's close to the pizzeria. Was greeted quickly and seated. I was hungry for a salad as well as pizza. Tyler was our waiter and promptly provided menus. Asked about beer list ( they are too close to school to sell beer ) but no alcohol but not a game changer; we came for the pizza. We really liked the family style salads. That was perfect for us. We ordered the classic pizza; Service was very good. This place baked breads as well and the loaves are small medium and large. So we thought we'd try a couple of loaves to take home - really hard to find fresh bread and good breads without preservatives. Pizza was great, nice flavor to the sauce; nice and cheesy as well. Something I haven't seen on pizzas for a long, long time were pickled cherry peppers. I really enjoyed them on with salad and pizza. Jeremy checked us out and our discussion about the items at Legacy and how he was a customer before becoming an employee sold me on coming back. Definitely a place to try out! By the way, bread and buns have variety so you have choices. Next time I'm going for the cranberry bread. We ended up with sourdough and whole grain. I was in town for work & was too wiped out to go out to eat. Legacy looked cute & had gluten free pizza I could order to go. So happy I did! Very friendly staff, easy curbside pick up and it was DELICIOUS. They say you eat first with your eyes & my pizza was so pretty. We were trying to find a place to eat on Fourth of July and didn't have a lot of luck. Until we called Legacy and thankfully they were open. I am glad it worked out that way because we had a great time. We got there at about 8:15 and they still seated us. The vibes of the restaurant were really neat. I was very into the Game of Thrones posters and the Toulouse print. The staff were ridiculously sweet and we were there for them closing up so we got to see them go through their nightly shutdown routine and I have never seen teens take cleanup so seriously. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with pepperoni rolls, which were very tasty and served with probably the best cherry pepper I have ever eaten. Then I got a calzone (made the correct way with ricotta cheese) and had them add capicola (which I was excited to see on the menu). My friend got an Italian sub which was massive and apparently also very good. Because they were closing up, we decided to get our dessert to go but we got a pistachio and a blueberry cannoli. Both were good but the pistachio was my favorite. And because it's a bakery we also got some sub rolls and cinnamon babka to take home. Seriously give this place a try! read more

Ordered the Bacon Jam mini pizza app: A mini pizza topped with sweet Bacon Jam, Feta, Mozz, Romano, Peppadews, Tomatoes, Balsamic Drizzle. Does it sound odd? Yep. Great little place in the heart of New Albany, off the main drag but easy to get to, and plenty of parking in the back. We had a group of eight but they had a large round table that held us comfortably. Let's get to the point. It's pizza and it was very good. five stars for the pizza. Even the basic cheese pizza is really good. I would've given five stars but there were a few things that held them back. First, there does not appear to be any air conditioning or they were not using it. It was in the 90s but hotter inside. We were all sweating and gross by the time we left. It might be fine in the spring and fall but simply not acceptable for summer. If the a/c was out they should have mentioned it and a simple apology would have been enough. You know "Sorry the a/c is out". It does not take a lot to pacify us. I ordered the sub as I'm kind of an Italian sub effectionado and many pizza places can make them really well. Not so much. You can see the pictures I posted, they made a very attractive sandwich presentation. But it was just a lot of dry bread with some attractive topping on top. It was not a good balance with how much bread, it could have used more Italian dressing, vinegar and oil, and shredded lettuce instead of chunks of it making it harder to eat. The soda I ordered was flat and tasteless. If it wasn't for the great pizza I would have downgraded my review more. Check the machine more often and taste it yourself. Definitely a high-quality pizza!! The family is visiting town, and we decided on pizza - and Legacy is superb! I honestly wanted to try the cheeseburger pizza (or the bacon jam), but the vote went towards the BBQ chicken pizza. 16" for $26 subtotal, and the estimated wait was 25min. Getting there was easy (across a high school), and we were back in a jiffy with our hot pizza. I really liked the pizza - the crust is great, the quality and balance of ingredients is excellent, and just an overall great pie. We decided we want to try something new and local. We all decided Legacy was what we wanted. We were sat by our amazing server Olivia. I wish I could have gotten more stuff to try. I ordered the spaghetti squash with meatballs, to say it tasted sooo good is an understatement. It was a huge amount of food for the price. My husband decided he wanted to get a calzone with Italian sausage, pepperoni and bacon. He said it was sooo good. Our daughter ordered a margarita pizza, I actually tried it and it was absolutely delicious. We also got there cheese bread, and deviled eggs I have to say best ones I've had in a long time.we also ordered all 3 cannolis to go. We got home and I have to say my favorite is the robin egg. I ordered from Legacy because my partner had a craving for pepperoni stuffed breadsticks and they were the only menu I could find that had them. I'll order from Legacy again because the flavors were outstanding! Seriously, best pizza and breadsticks that I'd had in a while. I picked up a small three topping pizza and the aforementioned pepperoni and mozzarella stuffed breadsticks (2 per order with pizza sauce included) as well as sides of their cheese sauce and ranch. Side note: the ranch was really good, not just the basic Hidden Valley bottle squeezed into a cup. Everything was ready at the time they told me and piping hot. I let my wife and her sister order what they wanted and we ended up with a Caesar salad, large Classic pizza and several desserts, namely bread pudding, cannoli, Chess bar and oatmeal cookies. I had a ginger beer which was tasty. I would have that again. We all thought the salad was very good, along with the dressing. The pizza is the BEST in New Albany and possibly Kentuckiana. We are searching for the BEST and found Legacy to be Most Bestest so far. There are still several more to try, but Legacy is going to be hard to beat compared to the others we already tried. The crust is best. The sauce is best and the toppings are best in class. We also got dipping sauce for crust and it is far better than the fake butter other pizza joints offer. The desserts were very good also. Bread pudding was like no other I had. It is more like a piece of bread cake, super moist and flavourful with peaches on it. 3 of us ate on the bread pudding. I better liked the cannoli next day at work. I would order that again. My wife ordered oatmeal cookie and said it was okay. I ordered a chess bar which I will try tomorrow. I trust it will be gooood. Had yet another WDRB coupons that led me to a great restaurant. I had to park in the back because it is on a busy street and across from the high school. Excellent pizza. I got a large Classic pizza. Toppings were dispersed throughout the whole pizza. I think it's the sauce that makes it so much different from any other speciality pizza joint. The sauce has a great Italian spice to it. I also got a Nonna because I noticed the artichoke hearts on it but I substituted the chicken for ham and it was perfect. The veggies are all fresh! I did get the canolis to-go. They have a pistachio canoli and a chocolate chip canoli. Haven't tried them yet but I'm so looking forward to them. I'm too stuffed from the excellent pizza. I do prefer my pizza cut in squares. They cut in standard triangles. But it all eats the same. Better than Wick's in my opinion. Must try. They also have fresh baked breads for sale. Bacon Jam Pizza Appetizer is insanely good! I wanted to check out a new pizza spot and this was an awesome find. The online ordering via Toast doesn't seem to work, I tried a couple times, then eventually just did old school call and order. They had curbside so that was pretty nifty. You pull up to what looks like a side door and they will come bring the pizza to you. I paid cash instead of card to make it easy on the curbside, but i'm sure it's fine either way. read more

Mimo's Pizzeria always does great work with pizza, but this one from Legacy is hands down my all-time favorite. Even when I get pasta for my main meal, I ALWAYS take this pizza home for a treat. I have been coming to Legacy since someone first told me about it and I loved it they were really good homemade pizzas and homemade food . However today I went and made my order , which is the same order I have made every time once a week for years , and the tone and attitude of the owner's voice when I corrected them that my order was incorrect implied that I was trying to lie or be deceptive to get what I ordered . As I said I've ordered the same thing every time every week for years . We may have found a problem in our quest to try different menu items. After today, I don't know if I can bring myself to order any pizza other than the Bacon Jam Pizza! Yes the Bacon Jam Pizza is that good. For you Pizza purists out there, this isn't your Pizza. For anyone else that enjoys a great melding of flavors in Pizza form, this IS for you. We both loved it, it's one of the best Specialty Pizzas we've had. Next,the Reuben. The Reuben was a very generous sandwich piled high with Corned Beef and sauerkraut. The sandwich is on toasted bakery bread. Very good sandwich. We personally would've liked more Thousand Island dressing. The oatmeal cookie was very good. Moist with pieces of fruit mixed in. As of this review we haven't yet tried the Sourdough bread or Chocolate cake. NOTE: follow up to previous review. The loaf of Brioche bread we purchased last visit was very good. Incredible pizza totally worth waiting for. Like other reviews, very kind and real down to earth people run this amazing little pizza joint. I think the owner greeted and seated us. I really thought the place was small til she took us to the back area where a larger seating area is at. Cute decor, in the arena of how Parlour pizza looks in Jeff. She brought us a loaf of French Baguette after I'd inquired on how to order that since I had seen it online- cannot wait to toast that up and drink with wine! Wonderful array of everything you can think of, I love the factual humor their menu has esp on the stromboli and calzones! Our server was a young man, friendly and courteous. Sense of urgency on drinks was a little off but sometimes seating in the back can cause an out of sight/out of mind mentality anywhere you go. We ordered the cheese sticks which is like a segmented pizza round with the cuppa sauce in it that was different for around this area; and the Rob which is their meat lover version. All of this, I assure you, was very delish.
