Called them to see if they can quote me a fix for a medium sized roof leak in my living room. Courteous enough, too nice in fact, but unable to produce a business card nor a contractor license on the spot. but insists on charging $500 for inspection. The man took all of 30 minutes, walked around my roof, damaged couple of tiles, took some pictures, and sent me a quote for over $50,000! it was just a roof leak I said, but he said oh the whole roof needs to be replaced. WHAT? I was not happy with the service, then they refused to refund the inspection fee. They also use another company name called "Select Roofing Services" based in woodland hills. the quotation was emailed to me without a company name, no address, and just a general 800 telephone number. It's a scam, the 800 is hard to reach and I think they're using VoiP so there are severe static and background noises. do not use them, very sketchy. read more

I set an appointment with them and a rep came a few days after. After asking about what roofing system they'd use, the rep was taken aback wondering why I'm familiar with the roofing tiles. I told him he's not the first one I've talked to. He then tells me he'd just get a sat photo of our house to make the estimate of roof. After the company rescheduled a visit three times due to forgetting to show up during the other two appointed time slots( I lost money waiting around for these guys instead of working) I finally locked them down to the last time and for them to hold their promise of showing up. It was a small leak coming into a light fixture the kitchen. Gentleman showed up and was friendly enough, looked at the little drip on the ceiling(it was raining) and tried to sell me a $2,500 service for what should be a couple hundred dollar roof patch. He never went into the attic to look for a leak, never went on the roof, didn't use any equipment to see where the leak was coming from. He just went right to the $2,500 service. After I realized that wasn't working, I contacted legacy roofing in Pasadena. I wanted to re-do the roof completely. They sent out an estimator and he was honest enough to tell me that it could be repaired and a full on new roof installation was not necessary.
