I highly recommend to read bad reviews about this business before choosing shoe repair place. Unfortunately I read only good ones! Mistake! Everything people say about having to come multiple times before your order finally ready, them naming one price and then charging a different one and not returning tax, ending up with poor quality job done, and bad customer service is true!! I had an ankle strap fastener replaced on a vintage pair of Neiman Marcus heels. The date of completion was delayed by a little over a week for an order to be delivered, I was understanding. I received the phone call that my shoes were ready only to get them home and notice an Ivanka Trump stamp on the hardware. I'm unhappy with the outcome. He tried to make me pay upfront before my shoes were even accepted to fix, without me even knowing if he was going to do a good job or not... or if I pay up front then he does a sorry job and wouldn't refund me. This guy seemed rude and snippy and even when I asked for a military discount, in a condescending tone he said no that he does a good job for everybody, so nothing special for the military. Do not, I repeat do not go here. Dropped a pair of boots off was told they would be ready in 5 days. Called 10 days later was told they would be ready in an hour, went next day and still not ready. Had my sister in law stop by on day 21 and was told they would be ready in an hour. Today is day 29 and you got it, still not done so I ask for my boots back and the owner starts screaming at me another customer was in there and she said I won't be back and left. Owner refused to give me my boots back while he continued to yell at me. Police had to be called as he would not give me my property back. Took my Louis Vuitton in to get the leather piping replaced and the handles because they showed wear & tear. The owner said 3 weeks, and suggested I have him polish the bag to fix the wear/tear at the corners. Said he's done it "many times" and it would be "beautiful". 13 weeks later, my purse is ruined! My authentic Louis now looks like a fake and is literally ruined. He used a brown leather spray paint (not sure what exactly it is but my bag now has sold brown corners). He created entirely new holes for the stitching and the sun shines through my bag. As if that's not enough, the stItching itself was done in a triangle pattern - LV doesn't do that. Back to Dino's for me with a 4 mth wait where my bags don't come back ruined. I've also called Neimans to tell them they should reconsider referring him. read more

He offered to make a template which was badly cut, without precision, badly glued. and the markers of the shoes ruined are dirty with glue. He charged me $54.00 and did not want to return the taxes. Thank you Yelpers to leading me to Legacy Shoe Care! I needed someone to resole my louboutins and the only place I knew of that did it previously, was in Plano. So when I saw the photos of the multiple red bottom shoe options available at Legacy Shoe Care, I zipped right over with my shoes. While I was initially planning on going with the normal red vibram, I was so excited when I saw the red mirror soles which are an amazing color and finish match on the shoe. I also had the heels fixed. Both of my shoes look amazing and much easier to walk on...the new soles are sort of a rubber texture that doesn't slip and slide on carpet like the original sole of the shoe tends to. If you know the brand, you've probably nearly slipped at least once. Get your shoes to Legacy Shoe Care and have the red mirror soles added, you won't regret it! My shoes took a little less than a week to finish. I wasn't in a rush but they were ready a little bit after they were due, but that was no problem. Maybe give yourself a couple days cushion if you've got an event that you need your shoes for. read more

I am SO GLAD I found this place. While their name says "shoe care" they're actually experts in leather in general, and the family that owns it are so nice. I've taken all of my old handbags here and they restored them waaayyyy better than I even expected. While nothing short of a wizard is going to be able to make them look "brand new", they look absolutely beautiful now, and they were even able to add leather to one of my fabric purses to cover up the scuffed/worn fabric at the bottom. My family was so impressed with their work that they've sent me here with several of their purses to have the same kind of repair work done. I will admit, this place isn't cheap, but you're paying for his skill, which obviously took years to learn. It kind of reminds me of the way trade skills used to be where you had to apprentice, journeyman, and work for years before you could master it - and this guy definitely has! I had to find a new cobbler. I came here because it's a convenient location for me and they seemed to have experience with Louboutins and other high end designers. They have three different options of replacement soles. I used to do vibrams. But they have the newer trend, mirror soles. They are awesome! It has a shine and matches closer to Louboutin red than vibrams. They did a great job. I've taken a few pairs to them and I will continue to take my future pairs here. The suede had completely rubbed off on the front. I had taken it to another cobbler and been told there was no fixing it and it was ruined beyond repair. I'm so glad I ended up coming here for a second opinion!! The man who helped me was super kind and explained he could fix it via two ways. I was able to get my shoes fixed up within 3-4 days which is great. The turnaround time was quick for me. To get the heels replaced on my dress shoes, it was $30. I brought in some Chelsea boots to be resoled, reheeled, and have the insoles replaced. They charged about $100 to do the job, which is reasonable for the work & materials. Well, 6 months later & the insoles are the only things that have held up. The heels are starting to come away from the boots & the soles have lost all grip on even slightly wet surfaces. I can't wear them if it is going to rain. Expecting a craftsman to stand by his work, I brought them back to be repaired. He agreed to fix the heels for free, but wanted to charge to replace the soles. I could understand if this had been a year later, but I expect brand new soles to last more than 6 months. Don't let them put the "pilot soles" on your shoes if you aren't prepared to pay to have them replaced in 6 months. read more
