So I just moved to NOVA from CT. So as you can imagine I am looking for many new services. One being a reliable and reputable barber. I did some research and Usta came up with very good reviews. Couldn't find a bad one. While the shop is not close to where i live its about a 20 minute drive. I decided to give them a try. And i am glad i did. The shop is in a mall. Its by appointment only. This was my second time and both times I did not have to wait. The cut is impeccable the barber is a professional who makes sure he has looked at all your needs. It's something when you can get a barber on your first try but I was lucky. I recommend anyone looking for a good men's barber shop this is the place to go!! Definitely will be my barber while I live in NOVA.

Update: we all still come here a year later and he also cuts both my sons' hair. He does a fantastic job and he's so fast!! So my baby gets a quality haircut before he gets antsy (6-8 min) is how long it took Cetin to cut my baby's hair. Also, Kids cut is $17!

Great place! Ceitin was very fast in terms of getting what I wanted and cutting my hair. His prices are great for the quality of the cut. Definitely would recommend, and surprised there was no one waiting.

Walked in, barber attended to me in a courteous manner, the barber washed my gelled up hair, took his time with my haircut, told him I wanted the same haircut as the banner from the window, exactly what I wanted, trimmed up my long ass beard, with scissors. Who ever knew it would be better then a electric shaver or whatever its called, barber took his time with that, perfectionist. Felt confident, very good establishment, will come back for sure! No hesitation! Go get it done, get it done right and with respect! Get it cut!

After a quick yelp search, I came across "the best barber in fairfax" and it lived up to its expectations. About a short 10 mins after my arrival, the gentleman was finished with his client. About a normal wait for somewhere that takes walk-ins. Only one person working on a Wednesday mid-afternoon. He did a fantastic job and cleaned the hair off of me often. All work was done with a timer and comb. No cheap plastic guards like the chop shops use. Finished with a straight razor shave. My hair and beard look great and I will be coming back. I've been to places that charge upwards of $100 for that kind of service, but $35 (that includes a tip) for cut and beard trim is a reasonable price for the quality of cut I received .

I visited this shop on Sunday, September 27, 2020 with a friend at around 3pm. I didn't realize this shop started taking appointments only, so I had to schedule an appointment the following day. However, when we were about to leave the mall to Macy's, the barber decided to squeeze us both in that day but at a later time (near closing). So we gladly accepted. The shop was clean and the barber sanitized the chair before my cut. Haircut was pretty quick and got a nice shampoo wash after. The barber was very accommodating and made sure the length was what I wanted. I was very satisfied with my haircut. For $20 + tip including shampoo and excellent service, I would definitely recommend this place for a men's haircut. This shop accepts card. read more

Don't waste your time here. I just walked in to the shop and there were no customers. I saw 2 barbers. None of them came to greet me at the front and they just looked at me so I turned around and walked out. Take your $$ elsewhere. A simple "hello I'll be right with you" would have sufficed. You obviously did not need my business so I went to The Barber of Seville. Got excellent service there. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. And to correct your response, there was ZERO interaction with you. read more

Not impressed, cut my bangs too short when I told him repeatedly what I wanted. Tough because it was nice because it's convenient in the mall to do things after the cut. My barber is in Falls church so it's hard to make the drive sometimes, I've looking around Fairfax I've tried Vienna's barbers, Andy's, the barber shop, and none of them are impressive. Having said that I am very discerning when it comes to barbers, I've been to many in my life time and most don't cut it. read more

I started going to The Barber of Seville about 1993. So many of my favorite barbers have left. When I went back in early October, they told me Cemal had retired. "I guess I need to find a new shop," I thought. Yelp showed Usta, also in Fair Oaks Mall, with 5-star results. I did a walk-by and, dang, Cemal is working at Usta! Woohoo! They have great barbers and a beautiful store - here's to another 25 years! read more

This is a great barber shop that emphasis great men's cuts! I'm never going to another barber shop again. Cecil does a great job and I've recommended friends and family here. The guy is so talented and the place is always clean! I'm so happy I discover this guy! The barber is always ready to take you and for $19 men's hair cuts with shampoo and razor blade neck finishes you can't beat it! read more

After moving to Fairfax, lamented loss of my favorite barber, but am now exceptionally pleased with Cetin (owner of shop), and more important, so is my wife, who had me traveling back to Arlington (to previous barber) to get my haircut all last year! My goal is to sit in the barber chair, not concern myself with the haircut, and when done get up and leave happy with the results. Usta delivers & can recommend them without question. Cetin is the man, I've cut my hair at so many places throughout my life. 40 dollar haircuts at fancy salons pale in comparison to how skilled Cetin is. He is quite soft spoken, not much of a chatter. I dont mind though, the haircut is what I'm after. Best barber ever! read more

I had been going to the Barber of Seville in Fair Oaks Mall for almost my entire life (started going when I was about 4 years old). However, they essentially lost all their barbers that I knew over the years so I ended up here. Turns out Cetin used to work there. I was very happy with my haircut and happy with the amount of time Cetin spent, it did not feel like he was rushing. Sad to leave the Barber of Seville after having gone there for over 20 decades, but this is my new go to barber in Fairfax. read more

After 15 years, I needed to find a new barber, so I started my search at Fair Oaks Mall. I came thru Macy's and the first shop I see was Usta. What a find! Usta Barber Shop is such an under the radar location. My barber, Cetin, is one of the nicest individuals I have ever met. He is also responsible for introducing me to a new hairstyle that I don't think I will ever change! Very fair and competitive pricing for this area. I would say inarguably the best bang for your buck. High praise for this place. 110% recommend it. read more

What did I get? A buzzed-to-the-bone disaster that looks like it was done with a weed whacker. My curls? Gone. My mullet dreams? Obliterated into a generic, ultra-short crop that makes me look like I lost a bet. Shocked, I flagged down the owner/barber to complain. He took one look, agreed it was "very short" (understatement of the year), and offered to comp the service as an apology. Fair enough, right? But here's where it gets messy: the original barber (JC, as I later learned) didn't even bother lining up my hairline. It's crooked as hell around my temples and neck - like a toddler drew it with crayons. Total amateur hour. I politely asked for JC's name to reference in my feedback, and the owner/barber straight-up grilled me: "Why do you need his name?" I explained I was leaving a review to warn others. His response? "Please don't do that." When I stood my ground and said I absolutely would, he flipped the script - threatened to charge me (and did) for the haircut anyway, and topped it off by calling me "spoiled" as I walked out the door. I assume the owner aggressively confronted us and said that since we did not call him, he has canceled both appointments and if we want a haircut, we have to pay for two. I understand a written policy, but the rest of his demands (paying for two rather than the one remaining cut), his nakedly aggressive behavior, and disrespectful tone are not OK at all. At least stick to your own rules and don't change them on a whim. Note that the place was almost empty and the barber that we requested was on his phone and not busy. In summary, horrible attitude, unreasonable demands, and abysmally bad customer service.

I'm so happy I found this barber. The main thing that distinguishes one barber from another is the knowledge that they have about the numerous differences between each cut. He understood what I wanted, as well as what would look the best. My haircut is very normal and standard, but a lot of barbers weren't able to get the fade/blend from the sides to the top quite right, as well as the length differences between the sides and the top. They aren't the type of barbers that only know one type of style or cut, they know how to do it. With the $$ on Yelp, I expected to spend like 30-40 bucks which I was okay with me if it meant finding a good barber, but it was 20 dollars for a my haircut and I couldn't be happier with the results and the value. Could not recommend this place more highly! I love the energy and the haircuts are just on point every single time. He remembers you each time, asks about your family, and cuts it exactly how your want it. I've been going to him since he opened - the place looks awesome by the way - and have regretted every time I went somewhere else.
