The employee suggested Legend Deli because want only delicious but it was clean, fresh, and 100% locally sourced. And he couldn't have been more right on the money. We both got the breakfast burrito, one sausage and one bacon. The flavor profile was on point. And their selection of hot sauce was is mind blowing! I would recommend 10/10. Their decor is also quite fantastic, it is warm and inviting, the music is top notch, and to top it off they have charicatures of celebrities sitting on sandwiches in the bathroom for your viewing pleasure! My children took me to Legend Deli for a quick Mother's Day get together. We arrived at 11 AM. Thank God because it got very busy very quickly. The place is small but well utilized. They have tables chairs and stools along with baby seats at a window counter which makes people watching a joy!! This establishment has great ambience with efficient, very pleasant competent staff. They have a large menu board on the wall with a bunch of sandwiches and salads with very cool names. They also have a special on the opposite wall which I missed. Today it was the BLT. I opted for the breakfast burrito with bacon. It was super delicious. My son had the GOAT which he loved. It was oozing with boars, head, meats, and cheeses. Perfect for a growing boy.!! my daughter had In Da Club which was also loaded with Boar's Head meats and cheeses. We had potato salad and macaroni salad with a selection of chips. The food is locally sourced and freshly made. What more could you ask for?! This deli is ideal for people who work downtown every day and visitors to town who want a quick delicious bite. I have been to many sandwich shops. Most of them serve a sandwich called the GOAT. This place lived up to the GOAT. I had the sandwich version and my wife had the GF wrap version. Both were fantastic!! The onion jam combined with whipped goat cheese was a flavor profile I had not enjoyed before today. How do I start.... This is one of the best delis that I have ever been to. They have good prices even in a pricey city like Charleston. It is a must stop by if you like deli's. So they've been open 12 days now and I've been there 6 times I want to start by saying the ambience in this place is dope, the mural, the music, the pictures in the bathroom are all awesome. The service is amazing, Chaz usually runs the front and the Chef Tyler (who used to be the chef at Husk) always pops out to say hello. This is by far the best sandwich place in Charleston. First I had the B.E.C. which I was reluctant to get because I'm not a big bologna guy but it was out of this world good, the chips I got on the side are my new favorite, I think they're called VooDoo chips. Then I had the breakfast burrito on my second visit with some potato salad, both were insanely good and they make the potato salad in house. On my fourth visit I finally tried the G.O.A.T. I was really reluctant to try this one because I don't like turkey. I've had it twice now (pictured below) and it seriously might be the best sandwich I've ever had. Since then I've also tried the pasta salad which blew my mind at how something so basic could be so good (of course they make it in house also). Another fantastic sandwich is the Legend of Shia LeBoeuf, it's like a French dip on steroids... and don't even get me started on their bagels. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and was disappointed that they forgot the cheese until I bit into the sandwich and realized they didn't forget the cheese, there was cream cheese on it and it blew my mind at how absolutely INCREDIBLE it was. I could ramble on and on about all the other things I've had but the point I'm trying to make is I've had something new almost every time I've been and I haven't had one thing that didn't utterly blow me away.
