Unreliable. Do not use. Day before trip, got confirmation for a 33-person passenger bus for a 3 hour trip. The bus which showed up was a party bus, no seatbelts, only 4 forward facing seats. The company shrugged the shoulders and told us there was nothing they could do, and that it was an "upgrade". One motion-sick trip later, we called up, nothing was offered, but they swore that the return trip a few days later would be the 33-person passenger bus that we paid for. What came was a 24 person passenger bus. Luckily there were some people who could carpool with others, otherwise we would have run out of space. They refunded $100, and never apologized. I contacted Legend Limousines to book a limo for my wedding. I spoke to some very nice folks, and received a quote of $1,100 for 6 hours. Seemed reasonable. When they started asking me for the details of what I needed it for, I mentioned it was for my wedding. This prompted an immediate transfer to their "weddings" department. At their "weddings" department, I had to start over and explain what I needed. They must not have realized that I had already received a full quote from their "non-weddings" department because they quoted me $1,900. When I asked them why it was going to cost an extra $800 for my wedding (same number of hours, same location), they said they offer a "premium" service for weddings. So naturally I asked what that entailed. Their answer? The drive wears a tuxedo. I asked if they could just let the drivers wear their normal outfit and save me $800 and they said no. They rudely followed this up with "If you're looking to save $800 maybe we're not the company for you". So they're not the company for me. Fine. They also shouldn't be the company for you. Who wants to pay $800 for their limo driver to wear a tuxedo? $800? Am I buying him or her a tuxedo? TL;DR? They are rude on the phone and seem to think that a wedding justifies a massive price increase with negligible benefit (you be the judge) for the same service. I think that's bad service. read more

Used Legends to take us from NYC to Atlantic City. We booked the Mercedes-Benz Party Bus and it was perfectly fine. We had a good experience on the bus ride but then it all went downhill. My friend contacted our driver (Mike) about 5 minutes after he dropped us off in AC, realizing that she left her leather jacket in the corner of the bus. Mike was driving but he said he would check when he got back and give us a call back. Never received a call. The next day, we tried contacting Mike several times on his personal cell phone, since that was the number he gave us. No response. We then contacted the Limo company and got a rude response from a male customer service rep saying "I doubt Mike would have a need for a woman's leather jacket". No one ever said or even implied that- but it's extremely shady that Mike just won't answer, and now the limo company is getting defensive when all we are asking for is her jacket back. We then called back a second time, because we still haven't heard anything. We were directed to a female customer service rep this time who gave us the same attitude (started raising her voice, getting defensive etc). She then told us we were unprofessional for calling Mike's personal cell phone. I'm sorry - don't give it to us then. Maybe the company should provide cell phones for their drivers if they are so concerned with that. What is unprofessional is this company's customer service and follow-up/taking the needs of their customers seriously. Now- 1 week later, still no leather jacket. read more

This is the second time I used Legend and had a great experience (first was for guest transport at my wedding and the most recent was for my 25th Birthday). For the most recent Birthday, we had the Black 20 Passenger Limo Bus which was a perfect fit for a night of local fun. Driver was on time, courteous, and accommodating all night. We all got home safely and they accommodated our multiple drop-offs like we asked. The only tiny negative I could say is that it was a little pricey (compared to other quotes I received), but I choose Legend anyway because I know I was guaranteed good service and quality. I did a wine tasting event that I do every year and used legend limousine who had impeccable service. The driver was fantastic , professional And on time. We had a 40 pass party bus that included a hostess & The hostess was incredible and made sure we were ok And if we needed anything he was there to take care of us. The bus was beautiful and very well taken care of which is a rare thing to see with limo companies. The office staff were great and were professional. Been using Legend for years. I'm shocked by some of the negative reviews. I travel a lot for work and use many car services out of NY. It's so nice to come home, and be greeted by my Legend driver at the airport. I've also used them for my wine tour that I do twice a year (one in spring & fall). Most recently my sister had their classic Rolls Royce and two party buses for her wedding. They made the day extra special with champagne toasts and a beautiful lace runner at the church. The vehicles were spotless and drivers had smiles on their faces from pick up to drop off. I can not thank them enough for their continued example of what a first class company is and should be. We reserved a car to take us to the airport on March 6 for our honeymoon abroad. My husband spoke to Louis few days in advance to finalize the details. THE DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP. After numerous calls, 25 min after the scheduled pickup, we finally received a call back from Bobby. His words were "the driver is in North Babylon and I don't know what happened". Not once did he apologize, instead he offered to pick us up in his own car for which would have to wait another 30+ minutes, putting us in a serious risk of missing our flight. We rented a Bentley from them which we were told to pay in cash and they canceled 1 hour before the event. What they offered in replacement was a Toyota Avalon, doesn't seem comparable to me. Oh and for only $300 off which would mean for a Toyota I would have paid $1000. I refused obviously. It then took them a week to get me my money back and they issued a check. read more

I utilized Legend Limo on 4 separate occasions over the past few months. We used Legend for my wife's bachelorette party in a Sprinter Limo Van, for our wedding day in a 20 person Escalade Limo, for our post reception pick up, and for an airport transfer to our honeymoon. Pricing is on par with all the other limo companies, in fact they may be a bit cheaper. More importantly, they were very reliable and professional in every one of the four interactions I had with their drivers. The drivers were early each and every time, including our 4:30 am airport pickup! Legend showed me a lot about the integrity of their business as well. We had booked an 8 person limo for a pick up-drop off after our reception. I was quite surprised to learn that the 8 person limo had broken down and they sent a PARTY BUS instead! That gesture showed that even though Legend already had completed the biggest ticket item of our relationship (Wedding Limo), they were still willing to take care of their customer no matter how small the transaction. Additionally, I was in contact with Amy at Legend Limos multiple times to plan, confirm, and adjust our various itineraries over the months. Terrible customer service. We went out to celebrate my best friends 21st birthday. They said we would have had tickets to get us into Sapphire, a gentlemans club, for free plus a free drink. When we were waiting for the driver, he was over 45 minutes late. He did not have the tickets and the owner said he'd have a way to get us in. We agreed and decided to go. When we get there, the bouncer tells us it's 20 dollars with the pass. We then find out they don't have passed and we have to pay 30 dollars to get in. They almost messed up my son's 21st birthday celebration!! Driver was 45 min late. They promised comp tickets to get in with a free drink to a gentleman's club in NYC which the driver didn't have! Then they said the would call the gentleman's club, Saphire and just give my name at the door. Well the bouncer came to the Sprinter and said we couldn't get in without comp tickets, and had to pay $20. Thank goodness we found a better gentleman's club in LIC. Run from this COMPANY.....they were an hour and a half late getting to my daughters sweet 16 party....We were to meet a boat in Manhattan at 6:30 ....this is when the bus finally showed up...and was given no warning about their lateness....I called one half hour after they were to be here ....only to be told maybe I should look for another way to transport 47 kids on a Friday night....I had to pay the boat to wait for us....and when I tried to have Legends pay for the extra cost by deducting from my bill....they pulled the Limo over and refused to move while the bus with 47 kids was heading back to LI, The Host/Hostess which I confirmed the day before was a no show.....STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

We hired legend for our wedding day. They were on time, professional and easy to deal with. The Cadillac escalade was pristine and stocked. We also had them do the shuttle from the hotel to the venue and it was great. They made several runs back and forth in the beginning and end of the night with no issues. They also helped us with timing when arranging the night which helped alot. The girl we dealt with made special notes to the driver which he followed to the T. A female answers the phone and says that if she transfers the phone to the manager, she'll tell me the same thing. But, I was told to call back at 3pm to speak to the manager. I used a party bus from Legend Limousines for a work event back in December and was really pleased. They answered all my annoying questions, arrived on time, and everything was exactly as advertised. Even more importantly, they were totally okay with the fact that I wasn't sure how long we needed them for. They explained how the rates would work beforehand, so there were no surprises when we needed an extra hour. Also, Hector, our driver, was a real gem - I'm mostly writing this review because of him. One star comes off because (1) they wanted payment in cash / cashier's check and frankly that's annoying and created a hassle for reimbursement; and (2) there was no way to hook up an ipod or phone to the music system, so we were left with radio and CDs (which they warned me about). We used Legend Limos for our wedding day and we were extremely pleased with the service!!! We booked a 20 passenger Cadillac Escalade which was brand new and in immaculate condition. Our bridal party was extremely pleased. We also booked a 1938 Cadillac, to escort my dad and I to the church and then my husband and me after the church. It was really sweet to have a classic car driving us around, and it was nice to have some alone time on our special day. The drivers were so professional and they even helped organize the procession of our large bridal party at the church. I recently had a very positive experience with Legend Limousines. I had organized a surprise 85th birthday present for my father. Our family (13 of us) we're taking him on "a journey of his life". I needed a very specific vehicle, which Legend was able to provide. We rented the custom 20 person Mac party bus with a bathroom, which accomated our party perfectly. It had surround seating, TVs around the perimeter of the bus and a stereo system. Although we brought our own snacks, they provided cold drinks in a large cooler. Our driver, Sal, was fabulous! He arrived exactly on time in appropriate clothing, let us decorate the large white party bus, and was wonderful with all our specifications. I had provided the company with our itinerary earlier in the week so they could map out the route. We traveled to approximately 12 different locations, exited the bus at most locations and often remained there for several minutes. Sal was patient, courteous and agreeable. My father had a very special and memorable day. If I ever needed a limo service in Long Island again, I would certainly recommend them. I have high standards, ask a lot of questions and am VERY detailed and organized. I was pleasantly surprised, and that's saying a lot! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that I found some of the staff to be a bit difficult to deal with during the weeks preceding our trip. We recently hired them for our wedding and they were really a pleasure to work with. They were very responsive throughout the entire planning process. We reserved the 30 passenger bus, which was very clean and already stocked with ice and beverages. On the day of the wedding, our driver, Anthony, reached out to me four hours before the pick-up time to make sure he understood where to pick us up and to see if we needed anything else. On a hectic day, hearing from the driver that early just places your mind at ease. The bus was perfect and everything worked like clockwork. Hired legends for my wedding and from the get-go had a bad feeling about them. I should have trusted my instincts because they were the only vendor that day that we did not love. They are so disorganized and unprofessional it's amazing they are still in business. Their cars are old and not well maintained. Lots of scratches and dings. My car arrived and the AC didn't work! And there was no making it right or ownership to their mistakes just excuse after excuse. We also booked shuttles with them which was a big mistake. The person who we had been working with to book all our cars was so rude and arrogant when we made the hour long trip out there to meet with her and discuss adding shuttles to our day. Not to mention the fact that she kept all of the notes about the details of the day in her notebook and not in the computer like she was supposed to. So when we made the hour long trip again to make our final payment and she was not there with her handwritten notes we spent an hour going thru it all again with the unfortunate person who had to update the computer with what she didn't. At first the company was very responsive to our inquiry and then handled all the booking quite efficiently. Amy did all and was extremely pleasant to deal with and understood our issues when I informed her that we did not know what time we would need the return. We booked a limo for 8 hours with the stipulation that anything over would be billed. The driver arrived on time and he was very pleasant. That's were all the good ends. The driver drove like a NYC cab driver. He was speeding, in and out not safely at all, we actually felt like the limo was going to tip over as he rounded the turns because he was going so quickly. He got lost not once but twice and informed my husband that we had to leave our event by a certain time as the company double booked him for the night. I reached out to the company regarding the occurrences and to date, have not heard back from them. Why would I, they have my money. To say my experience with Legend Limousine (Smithtown NY) was unpleasant is an understatement. I don't think I've dealt with such an incompetent group of "professionals" in a very long time. Legend Limousine was the company my fiancé and I had hired to provide transportation for our wedding and we viewed the below incident as a "test run", one we are glad we experienced as I'm positive this is a reflection of how they would have handled any issues on our wedding day. On July 19th Legend Limousine was hired to drive a bachelor party from Patchogue into NYC and back to Patchogue. Our driver, Bill, was scheduled to arrive at 4:30 (we had a 6pm reservation at Delmonico's Steakhouse) but called to let us know he'd be "15 minutes late" - he didn't arrive until 5:15pm. When we arrived in the city he was paid for the entire evenings fare (over $600) and offered to let us leave personal items in the vehicle as he would be picking us up in that vehicle later (no receipt was offered). Around 12:30am we called to switch the pick up location and was told it wasn't a problem, they'd see us at 2am. 2am rolls around and a new driver with a different car was waiting for us. This driver had no idea we had already paid Bill and demanded payment before he pulled away from the curb. The new driver had called the night manager who informed us that we could either pay again and be driven home (and given a refund if we were owed one) OR we could refuse to pay and be left in NYC. At this point our original driver had shut his phone off for the night making it impossible to corroborate our story of prepayment. To be fair, we had been drinking all evening and frankly the last thing any of us wanted to (or were capable of) deal with was a bunch of people telling us, basically, pay us AGAIN or get left in the city. Eventually the new driver took off without us in the vehicle and we had to wait in Penn Station until the 4:43am train came in. This obviously left a pretty sour taste in our mouth, one that didn't get corrected when we went to speak with the owner Robert on Monday morning. On July 21st Robert, the owner, called to attempt to right the situation. I spoke with him briefly and told him I would be in with my fiancé later that evening to discuss the situation face to face. When we arrived at his office we were given back the $300 and the bottle of scotch that had been left in Bill's vehicle. Robert did not offer an apology nor did he attempt, in anyway, to calm our fears about his companies actions on our wedding day. We sat with him for approximately 25 minutes while he ran through a litany of possible scenarios that could impact his company's performance come the day of our wedding. He said "I can't sit here and tell you it'll be perfect; there are too many things that happen. I can't tell you your car won't break down, your A/C will work perfectly, that your driver will be on time or that we won't get lost. I can't promise perfection and I'm not going to." Robert didn't offer to do anything to keep our business but rather he "offered" to refund our deposit and let us go elsewhere. Robert bashed his own employees calling Bill "not all there" and "often times too willing to help even though it will more than likely hurt the situation". He stated his wedding day drivers, limousine drivers and passenger van drivers are all on different levels of competency and that obviously Bill was driving a van "for a reason." Any competent business owner would have apologized and offered to right the situation; Robert acted as if he could care less and eventually said "we're beating a dead horse, what more do you want?" Mind you, not once in our conversation with Robert did we get loud, rude or curse. We were as calm and respectful as possible. Robert eventually did refund our initial $200 deposit. However, I was credited only after my bank (Chase) filed a claim and conducted an investigation on my behalf. It took 8 days, but I was finally credited the amount. If this is "legendary service", I'll pass. My advice to anyone looking for a competent company to provide transportation would be to hire ANYONE but Legend Limo. The lack of communication between drivers and management and the overall rude, careless attitude of its owner is something I hope to never encounter again. read more

Do not use this company, they will no doubt ruin your day! I contacted this company for my daughter's wedding and they were very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. We contracted two limos for four hours and a mini bus for 7 hours. Day of the wedding the bride's limos showed up at my house an hour early?????Everything was going well until the church service was over and we told the two limo drivers we were going up around the corner to take pictures for 45 minutes and then back to venue ( a ten minute ride). The driver who showed up 1 hour early at my house became angry and rude and said we were running over time??? Thank god the wedding planner was there and had all the contracts with us, we were right on time! Bus we had ordered to take 100 people from hotel to venue was 2 hours late!! So the company sent back the rude limo driver with a 10 passenger limo to shuttle 100 people! Needless to say most people missed the cocktail hour. Called the company next day and spoke to owner and he wasnt even apologetic just explained that "things" happen??!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I will be reporting them to Better business read more

We were frightened) return trip driver 2 hrs late and explained was because he stopped home to eat!! We booked the bus for our wedding in May 2017. The bus was overall what I expected and got the job done. It's last trip of the evening took much longer than expected and we were concerned it stopped running earlier than we contracted for but eventually it circled back around. Honestly, my biggest criticism of this company was its customer service. The office staff was very short and occasionally rude. They offered no assistance in trying to find the best option for you based on your event and simply just wanted to know what type of vehicle and for how long and quoted a price. It was like ordering off of a menu. Not a big deal if you know and are trying to just arrange transportation but I wouldn't recommend them if you're trying to organize an event with multiple stops and requiring several different cars going to different locations. You won't get much help here. An additional example of their customer service was when we tried to pay our balance in full prior to our wedding on time as outlined in our contract. I am in the military and live in VA and my wife worked 4 hours away from where we were getting married. This was discussed when we signed our contract and was told it would be OK to pay with a credit card instead of paying in person as is normally the case. When I called to pay, I was told that they would charge me a fee to pay with a credit card. When I asked if they would waive the fee as a courtesy given the distance we lived from the area and that I was unable to be there before the wedding given where I was station, they refused. In fact, the woman told me "well my husband was in the military and I made it work and paid in person." That may be the case but neither me nor my wife lived in the area nor have the convenience of doing the same thing so her circumstance meant nothing to me. I ended up sending a bank check but quite honestly, sometimes trivial 'rules' and 'policies' can be forgiven for certain unique situations. I don't use my military service as a means to get benefits but in this case, it kept me from planning our wedding the way we would like to and I wished that was recognized by Legend Limo. It all went so smoothly until the bus arrived for my 50th birthday. We expected the White Diamond limo to be the pinnacle of all my limo experiences from what was portrayed on the internet. Immediately, before leaving the driver couldn't get any of the 7 TV's to work. All the time and effort my husband and friends put into a CD montage - wasted. The driver was very nice, but said there was no one for him to call, no experienced tech that could help him get these to work. The one thing I specifically mentioned on the phone to the multiple girls I spoke at Legend was that I was so happy the bus had poles to hold onto while standing. The bus arrived with NO poles. The driver was apologetic and was struggling with all these extra problems he wasn't prepared for. He said that it must have been used for a corporate function prior to my date. The fog machine - what separates this bus from any other - didn't work. The bathroom - another must have for 40 people on a party bus - didn't work. There was NO water at all in the bathroom. The bar on the bus was not stablilized and had to be held onto in order for it not to move and spill anything so my guests had to take turns supporting it. All this dysfunction for the mere price of several thousands of dollars. As a business person myself, I called first thing Monday morning to discuss what happened, but was told that Joe isn't available and it's a very busy time. He's in meetings, but he will get back to me. Wednesday I called again and I was informed he got the message, he'll get back, it's a busy week (to be fair it was prom time). Tuesday the following week I called again, but got the machine, so I left a detailed message. Nobody ever had the courtesy to call me back. Maybe it's all for the best. I didn't want a freebee, but I wanted some type of explanation how you charge full price for this beautiful bus, but the important features don't work. In the end I was left no choice, but to dispute the final balance on the credit card for lack of response. The cash they got from me was adequate for what I received and clearly it didn't matter to them as I never got any response from the dispute either. I'm thankful it's wasn't my wedding day, but it was a special day for me. Luckily I put it all in perspective as it certainly isn't life altering, however the customer service for this company, frankly, sucks. Buyer beware. read more

Both were so professional, the car was immaculate, and they were safe drivers. When i called to schedule my pick up Scott scheduled me quickly and efficiently. I received my email confirmation immediately and a confirmation call the day before. I can't say enough about them. I will use them every time I travel without a second thought. Hired them for my wedding this past September and they were the worst. The car picking up the bride and family didn't have working air conditioning, which the owner said he is not responsible for because "mechanical problem happen". I specifically mentioned that this car would then be used to transport the parents of the bride and groom along with grandparents after, but they still sent us a car with no ac. We also got the custom Escalade which came equipped with a broken passenger side handle, and a 13' inch scratch (the owners words not mine), which has been there since May( again the owners words)but he is going fix it, he just doesn't have the time because it so popular. I attached the picture so you could see it's the whole door not just "13 inches". It also had a cracked windshield. Which the owner told me happens a lot and they only fix them right before the inspection. So, I hope your Wedding is on an inspection day. Also, there was not one ice cube to be found on anything. I gave the driver 10 dollars as I walked into church to make sure we had some for the ride to the reception. The result....no ice and I didn't get my 10 dollars back. My husband and I booked this company for our wedding because they were the most reasonably priced, the lady we spoke to was very nice as well as they were located in Smithtown and that's where we were getting married. Well where should I begin with the complaints. The ONLY time that we received any type of nice treatment was when I Ike with Nicole. Also they are not very organized, two days before my wedding I called them up to ask them of de wee handing the final payment to the limo driver since I hadn't heard from them (and every other vendor called us to schedule an appointment to take their final payment) the man on the phone tells me o no you have to bring that payment down today, we we're suppose to have it a week ago. So after work that day (I work in queens and don't get out until 3:30) I raced down to Legend to hand them a check for the final payment. Let me remind you that the man on the phone NEVER specified that I needed cash otherwise I would have went straight to the bank at 3:30 since my bank closes at 4. When I arrived at Legend with a check Nicole very politely was explaining that they only take cash for final payments especially this close to the wedding, since the check won't have a chance to clear. I explained to her that I was the one that called about the final payment otherwise it would have been being handed to the driver on Saturday, and that when I called the man on the phone never said I needed cash, my bank is closed and I can't take that much out of the ATM. At that point the guys I spoke to on the phone looked at her and walked out the front door, and the owner of the company who was sitting there the entire time listening to what was going on, came up to me and said "I wouldn't take a check from you, even if I knew you my whole life!" Needless to say very rude, ESPECIALLY from the OWNER of the company! ,are a long story short I was able to get the money from my in laws and my father in law came with me to give the money since people think it's ok to be rude to there clients. Then the day of the wedding after leaving my now husbands house to go to the church, the limo driver was heading in the wrong direction (didn't know which church he was going to) and when they pulled up at the reception hall (also in Hauppauge) pulled into the housing development instead of the golf course! My advice to others, do not use this company!!! Who needs that kind of stress and be spoken to so rudely!!! read more
