Flavor is good, fish is fried perfectly and seasoned well. I ended up ordering another lunch to take hotel for my dinner. Service is very good, they accommodate all your needs. I went there tonight and ordered a couple of dishes, one of which was the legendary dry chili chicken. It was mostly a bowl of chilis with just a few pieces of chicken. I've had it before and it used to be mostly chicken. When I said something about the lack of chicken to the waiter, the person next to me said she had just complained about the same thing. I was told that the owner had told the chef to use less chicken. The other table refused to pay and the waiter took it off the bill. For me, they made a new plate with the usual amount of chicken. It was delicious. I've been many times and love their food but if this is the direction they are going, I don't know if I'd go back. First time visitor to Eden Prairie, MN and Legendary Spice was recommended to me by a colleague. I ordered the Legendary Dry Chili Chicken, expecting to get a dish with succulent chucks of chicken and peppers. However, what I received was a lot of peppers with some chicken crumbs. Literally, the pieces of chicken dust were the size of the nail on my pinky finger and smaller. I took 2 bites of the dish and could not continue. It was inedible. I asked the waiter if what I received was all the chicken intended for the dish (the ratio was 95% dry chilis and 5% chicken crumbs). The cut peppers and the parsley garnish were larger than the chicken crumbs. The waiter was apologetic and indicated that management reduced the amount of chicken for this dish. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they were not there. He further indicated that several guests have complained. My first sit down meal in Eden Prairie was terrible. Really fun experience with the family! It's very interesting being in the Asia mall because it gives a food court-ish vibe but you're definitely in your own section of the restaurant! Really expansive menu where everyone can choose a dish, keep in mind that it is definitely family style so the dishes are large and meant to be shared. Our family of three adults and two kids were super full and probably ordered too much but nothing wrong with leftovers!! Of the items we ordered, the kiddos loved the Shrimp dumplings the best, they didn't care for the steam/crispy buns (which are a lot smaller than you would expect!), and enjoyed the beef and broccoli. I personally loved the short ribs, they were so crispy and perfectly salted - highly recommend! Didn't care for the gyoza.. it was super bready and just felt too heavy. Quick tip- you can ask for more rice without being charged. As soon as we got to this restaurant we didn't feel super welcomed. This restaurant has robots delivering food and I love the concept of using the robots it was so fun to see! We ordered lots of things and the things I remember likening were the General Tso, dan dan noodles, egg drop soup, Szechuan wontons, and crab Rangoon. We ordered a few different bobas and loved them all! Unfortunately, the soup dumplings lacked broth and the pork was mushy and pink on the inside making it seem raw, so we ended up not eating most of those. Another not so great thing we tried was the black and gold lava buns. They are known to be a sweet and creamy on the inside bun, but these tasted like it could have been spoiled, we couldn't get past one bite, it tasted very rotten and the center was not creamy. As there were still many good things I still think it is worth checking out but I am not sure I will be sitting down here again. read more

Dim sum was requested and I remembered that Legendary Spice at Asia Mall offered all day dim sum menu. So we invited my sister and her husband to join us because Asian food is better when shared with families and friends. We got seated right away for dinner around 6:40pm on a Sunday night. We had enough room for my sister to be able to elevate her leg due to an ankle injury. It was nice to be able to review the menu and order at our pleasure on the iPad. We took our time to choose the different dishes. We got ordered beef and broccoli, salted pork spear ribs, beef and onions, Peking style eggplants, buns, shrimp and pork shumai, shrimp dumplings, wonton soup, and fried gyoza. The gyoza had too much dough/wrapper that it was not well liked. The salted pork spare ribs was flavorful, crispy and good with white rice as well as the beef and onions. I like the lettuce and bell peppers that came with the spare ribs. The eggplants was nicely cooked and the sauce was a nice balance with the rice. My daughter did not care for the shrimp and pork shumai and the staff was kind enough to remove it off our bill. The fried plain buns was not well liked and hopefully next we can have all plain steam buns instead of half and half. The wonton soup was so sad because you only get one wonton for $5. This spot is located on the upper level of Asia Mall, connected to Dim Sum Garden. They provide tablets for both restaurants to order from, then the food is delivered by robots to your table. We chose the Famous Tianjin Crepe with Chinese Pork Sausage and Ran Noodles. I added chili oil to the crepe because it felt a bit one note. The crepe was light but the fried dough inside tasted a bit like old oil. The ran noodles had good flavor but if you are not one for heavy spice, be sure to remove most if not all of the bird's eye chilis. We kept only a few pieces and our tongues were tingly and numb. This amazing restaurant has been around for many years and has opened additional locations in various places. The food is authentic Sichuan style. Parking is very convenient, but there's a tip you should know. Search for "Wahu parking" and enter the apartment parking space. You can park in any Wahu commercial spots for up to 2 hours for free. My top recommendation is the Legendary Dry Chili Chicken. It's crispy and spicy. You won't be disappointed with any of the Hot & Spicy Pots; we always order the beef one. For first-timers, I recommend the meat combination. There are many noodle options. The flour noodles are consistently excellent, while the rice noodles can be hit or miss. Ran Noodles are my new favorite; I highly recommend the spicy beef noodles--so delicious! Occasionally, the rice noodles may be broken into shorter pieces. The portions are generous. If you have room for an appetizer or dessert, try the Sichuan Wontons and the Rice Cake. You'll love them! The service is always friendly and fast. The owner lady is delightful! The ordering system is the best in town. You simply place your order on an iPad and can add items at any time, in either Chinese or English. Service ranged from indifferent to actively confusing. Even the kids' meals were a miss, which takes real effort. If you can't win over children with simple food, that's a warning sign. Overall: overpriced, poorly executed, and aggressively flavored in the worst possible way. You are able to continuously order from the tablet at your table. The dining space had lots of room. The chive dumplings have a very mild flavor and brought a good balance to the meal. The Szechuan wontons were not spicy, but had good flavor throughout. The other legendary spice in msp is a solid 4/5 stars, compared to this one, it very much feels like mall food court food with sit down dining costs. The service was okay, I found it weird that they gave us forks and plastic plates, not even chopsticks at a Chinese restaurant. The white rice was sort of dry/hard. The few dishes I would recommend are the mapo tofu and beef chow fun. The pea tips were also pretty fresh and cooked well. The niu rou fan was not good, the pork wasn't minced/chopped finely as I would have wanted. Also, it had star anise and cloves in there, which are not really edible, those are typically used for flavoring. I likely wouldn't come back to eat unless we were really craving beef chow fun and were in the area. read more

Casual dining experience compared to the other locations. Served with plastic forks which made it difficult to share dishes. Recommend real utensils for more pleasant experience. Really wanted to love this place but fell short. Staff were friendly but looked short staffed. They also had to man the UniUni boba tea shop next to it (the drinks there are amazing). The restaurant mostly lack of flavor even though Szechuan spicy style cuisine. Szechuan wontons were over cooked and the wrappers were falling apart. Pork steam buns (aka soup dumplings) were thick and not delicate ( I did not have high expectations for this dish). Dan Dan noodle had a little kick of cumin and peppercorns. I love the massive menu offerings. There is something here for everyone. I've had beef with broccoli which looked amazing, but the beef was tough. The sweet and sour chicken or pork are fantastic. We ordered here through bitesquad so I can't review the service/location. We were craving Chinese food and ordered the crispy pork belly, orange beef tenderloin and Mongolian beef tenderloin. I was so disappointed in the Mongolian beef dish. The picture looked so good but it was lacking in flavor. It was a very dull beefy/onion taste, almost like a beef pot roast. It needed more Chinese flavor and maybe more peppers. There were only huge pieces of onion, a few green onion ends and the beef. I had to sauté some red peppers and add hoisin sauce to it. The orange beef had good flavors so that was the safest choice. if I didn't know we ordered beef I would've for sure thought it was chicken. The crispy pork belly was over breaded and you couldn't really taste any pork belly. Therefore, it really needed a dipping sauce which it didn't come with. All the dishes came with white rice and all the portion sizes were large enough to have leftovers. I liked that the food came in a reusable bag instead of a plastic one. If you appreciate casual Asian Cuisine, and like a menu full of variety, this is the place to visit for a host of reasons.
