The dining room. Buffet at lunch has reopened!

My wife, son, and I were ravingly hungry and wanted Chinese. We ordered online and even though they deliver (for orders over $15) I went to pick it up. (Mainly because I wanted to be snoopy and see how clean it was) I was impressed. The dining room was empty (which made me feel sad for the family running this place and grateful my family was buying supper from them), but it was clean; and although the counter was cluttered with water bottles and other food supply stuff, it was organized. (I'm willing to give this small restaurant a pass and simply assume that the clutter was from the quarantine when no one needed to worry about appearances.) Sweet and sour pork was the typical fare, but the shrimp lo mein and potstickers were (according to my wife and son) wonderful. We'll be back.

I have lived in this Edina area almost all my life. I like to support the businesses in my neighborhood so my husband and I gave this place a try tonight. We were very impressed. Our initial welcome as we entered the restaurant was cheerful and service continued to be prompt and no fuss. The menus are a pretty red but could use a wiping down each day to remove fingerprints. I made a quick sprint to the restroom through what appeared to be a clean restaurant but the glass door to the restroom area could use some cleaning or replacement-it comes across as looking dirty-not sure it really is...otherwise the restaurant really looks good. Suggestion-I would hang your artwork on the walls slightly lower so that your customers can enjoy how nice it is and not need to look up so high on the wall- including the tv's- this might not be your custom..but just a suggestion. It might cozy up the place and add just a bit of Asian atmosphere that customers might enjoy. Food was super fresh and I could hear the staff cooking in the kitchen. Cream cheese wontons are not run of the mill- they are fantastic! My husband had the shrimp with cashew meal-Large amount of shrimp and cashews, I had the house egg foo young- no La Choy here!! As we left the establishment we heard a "thank you" for coming..You can never go wrong with that. Will be back to eat in and for take out. Good job Asian House-glad you are in the neighborhood.

The chicken wings gave me food poisoning. Never ever eat here. I am not sure how you mess up fried wings but they certainly did.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal. Overall, Q Cumbers is a solid choice if you're looking for variety and comfort in a relaxed, casual setting. It's especially well-suited for diners who enjoy being able to customize their meal and sample multiple items in one visit. Q Cumbers is worth a try if you haven't been. The variety makes it easy to find something you'll enjoy, and there are a few standout items that make the experience feel comforting and familiar rather than overwhelming. Service is good as staff are good about cleaning stations and picking up dirty dishes.

That will be $47." My partner's card declined at first swipe, which was loudly announced. But we got through and were provided our 4 paper napkins and one set of cutlery each. Only to discover 4 dirty & underwhelming buffet lines. And a sea of rude & dirty people. Not a single cut of red meat in the building. The "crab legs" were imitation crab (not even sure that's legal). The shrimp were whole- had to peel and de-vein them myself. Remember the 4 napkins? Extra miserable when you have to rip through your own seafood with your hands. The flavors of what I did try were abysmal. Only thing decent were the egg rolls. Flies buzzing everywhere. The cookies are obviously store bought from Sam's or Costco, the jellies are cheap, the cream puffs were also store bought. The ice cream didnt even look good. You can find better Asian cuisine in the frozen aisle at dollar general. The staff are all incredibly rude. The middle aged woman working the dining room was following me around so close that she stepped on the backs of my heels, twice. And hovered over me as I ate. The employees at the food line also love to hover and actively get in the way. I truly expect to become sick from eating here. And will update when i do. My partner tried one of their doughnuts and ate nothing else- wish we had just walked away when we encountered that snot upon arrival. I'm reporting them to the health board and BBB.

There was no one to greet you, I think this is mostly a take out place on the weekdays. I go into the back where I see a buffet looking area, before that i see that there are two papers on the wall. A price for in-dining, per lb and a price for take out. There is a young man there and I tell him I'm eating in. He takes a plate, and loads it which what I want. It's a shame its by per lb, because there were so many good item so to try, but I could only put so much on the plate. I got greens, yams, black eyed peas, bbq chicken leg and mac n cheese and jerk spaghetti. The food was overall good and I loved the jerk spaghetti and bbq chicken leg the best. I wanted to try some other stuff but I wasn't going to pay another $20 something for it.

They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. If i'm being honest none of the food looked appetizing in the serving trays so I was already skeptical. I've always kind of heard mixed reviews about MS but it was still on my list to check it out. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good. The cornbread was really dry. Overall not good.

I show up at ten till 5, maitre'd says give him 10 mins, no problem. I sat at the bar next door &right before 5 he comes & tells me he can seat me now. The server is also warm and friendly, and I notice throughout the night that he greets everyone like old friends. What great people! Everything I asked for, he made a point to over-deliver. It was amazing. The food - I got a half pea feta salad, focaccia with olive oil, butter & a garlic, parsley & lemon zest template - very strong - use sparingly. My only nit about the whole experience was that the bread was served cold. Would have been light years ahead if they had warmed it. Blueberry fizz drink was very tasty. I was brought an outstanding amuse bouche before the star main course and it made my day! Then on to the main act - the largest slab of prime rib I've ever seen & a loaded baker potato! The meat was a perfect medium-rare and practically melted in my mouth. The horseradish was great! I didn't use the bernaise, salt or pepper. The loaded baker was outstanding, bacon, cheese, butter, sour cream & chives on top. I finished off with an Irish coffee. My sister later came down from our room & they were gracious enough to warm up the leftovers for her to eat. She had some wine too. I was there 2 hours total & never felt rushed.
