The lunch "all you can eat" deal is very affordable here at $19.99 per person. You can select multiple soup bases for the table and each person can pick out individual items to cook. The veggies, meats, noodles, etc. are all self serve from refrigerators in a hallway in the restaurant. I was a bit disappointed in their lack of vegetable options, and it seemed like certain items were limited and did not get replaced often in the refrigerators. The soups were also not as flavorful as other hot pot restaurants I've been to.

A lot of choices in the cup in the fridge. It is all you can eat type of hot pot. Good service. They have everything you can think of seafood, all kinds of meat and veggies. Nice pace. Visited women bathe room. They have everything that you need in the bathroom for women including hair ties.

The colorful pot, individual pot or community pot is an option.

We were driving around st. Paul late one evening looking for something to eat. We were surprised alot of restaurants close at 10pm, so we headed towards university area. Legendary spice was lit and open until 1am. They have hot pot only option $45 or combination of hot pot and everything on their menu $50. That includes dim sum and chinese food. I chose the tom yum broth, was pretty tasty. And the sauce station to create the dipping sauce. The meats and veggies are in the back, the meats are packed individually. I was surprised to see this, quite unique and sanitary. You can go back for more meats and veggies. They have pre-made Boba drinks as well in the fridge. The server is very helpful guiding us to everything and refill our broth.

We've been here twice now and both times the restaurant has been great quality, great service, and a lot of fun. We like that it's buffet style and you can try new things, they have a large variety of different things so plenty to choose from. Sauce station is cool too. The staff have always been friendly. If we're going to do hot pot all you can eat, we're going to come here.

Great food and great portions. The waitress Amanda was the best.. she was very energetic and friendly and provided great service. The place is decorated so cute. They provide a great variety of food options. Every dish I ordered was freshly made and very good. I highly recommend giving this place a try. They have late hours which is nice do a late dinner. Great for friends hanging out or just going for a drink. They also have a full bar. I enjoyed my experience and will be returning.

Terrible experience at Legendary Spice Hot Pot yesterday! We had a big group with some dietary restrictions (veg, non-pork) so we ordered accordingly, keeping veg and meat broths separate. Then we learn that they were refilling our broths with bone broth even in the veg. This was frustrating as we had clearly explained the restrictions. We brought this up to the manager Eric, since we had already informed them of the restrictions and he proceeded to call the cops on us because he said he didnt know what to do. We were hoping to get some of the meals comped or at the very least, an apology. But we got neither. And he even tried blaming it on his waiter. No accountability! Manager Eric was not considerate in people's religious and dietary beliefs. This guy should not be manager and does not respect his customers. On top of it all, he had the audacity to charge 20% gratuity. We appreciate these police officers hearing our side and mediating the situation, however it should have never gotten to this point.

I'm was so disappointed tonight. My boyfriend and I have tried a few hotpot places and this has to be the least favorite. The spicy broth was wayyyyy to spicy - I couldn't even eat any of the food I cooked in the broth and the bbq options were over seasoned. Our server was very helpful and attentive to our table though. Our water jug was always full. Sesame Balls were good. Probably won't be returning.

The hot pot is so good. The overall experience was great and the robot was a cute addition.

The overall food and experience was on point. The robot was an adorable addition and the bbq was so good.

In…read morere-reading my reviews, I stand by everything I've said about the excellent consistent quality of the food, the service, and how much I enjoy coming to this restaurant. I truly hope they are around longer than I am. I would hate to find out this was one of the choices no longer available to us. Please read my previous reviews for a more inclusive view; this review focuses only on their lobster. I had previously mentioned that they prices of their lobsters (I love the version with black bean sauce) have gone up tremendously. While true, there seems to have been a subtle change in their pricing strategy. Previously (as of before the pandemic), the lobster was priced by the pound, which is the conventional way of doing it. However, they seem to have two lobster prices. The first one is called "Big Lobster" and they say it's between 2 and 2 and half pounds per lobster. The price of that (as of this review) is $56 dollars, or $28 per pound. That's not really a bad price at all. It's expensive, but reasonable. The other lobster is called "Live Lobster" and is priced $10 less at $46. So the real question is how much does this second version weigh? I ordered the Big Lobster, but they said they were out of it. I asked the weight of the "Live Lobster" but I didn't really get a straight answer, but he seemed to say "about two pounds" which doesn't really make sense because that's the price of the larger, more expensive lobster. But I decided to go for it anyway. As I stated in my last review, I'm guessing this lobster is at least two pounds, based on many years of eating lobster. For this review, I had ChatGPT translate the the Chinese on the menu, thinking it was secret code for "if you can read Chinese, save ten dollars by ordering this version" but AI says the Chinese means "lobster" so if you spoke Chinese, you'd still be mystified. So my recommendation is order the version that is ten dollars cheaper and you may (or may not) be paying $23 a pound. Price aside, I love this version of lobster and it is certainly a better deal than what you would pay at an American style seafood or steak restaurant in the Twin Cities.

It was nice visiting and enjoying some of our previously go-to dishes. The soft shell crab made with golden garlic style was as delicious as I remembered, although at a much higher price now ($44+) for the dish. The mapo tofu and eggplant dishes that we ordered ended up being very similar in taste/sauce/seasoning but still pretty good. The service was pretty fast and the staff was friendly.

From the outside appearance and lack of upkeep to the service and, most importantly, the food, the entire experience was disappointing. The service was odd, the staff didn't seem very familiar with the menu, and there were several misses that made the experience even less enjoyable. The food itself was mediocre at best--and honestly, some of it was just bad. Then came the bill: over $75 plus tip for three people, with two lunch specials and three drinks. For what we received, the price was absolutely ridiculous. For me, this was a hard pass.
