This place is the very definition of a hidden gem. I happened upon it while googling "cool gyms in Utah" a few months ago, hoping to find some sweet Black Friday deals. I had never heard of it before, but the Google reviews got me very excited. There were lots of remarks like "I can never move because I won't find a better gym than this." Now that I've been to The Training Room, I can't go back home to the East Coast unless they let me start a franchise there. For the base membership price (currently $110) you get unlimited access to the gym, which is fully equipped with everything you need for lifting, cardio, CrossFit style drills and so much more. It is so clean and never overcrowded! There are showers stocked with the relevant toiletries, including hair dryer (and diffuser!), cotton swabs, hair ties and bobby pins, etc. There is even towel service, so you don't have to bring your own with you and stuff a wet towel into your gym bag on the way out! In addition to that, the base membership gets you unlimited included childcare! I love that there's no additional fee for that. I'm not usually comfortable taking advantage of childcare anyway, as they are frequently overcrowded with babies, understaffed, and often don't look well cleaned. The childcare here is different. Just like the gym floor, it is never overflowing with people. The girls who work in there are so pleasant and mature. It's easy to see your babies if you want to, as the door is always open and there are even computers at the front desk showing camera footage of what's going on wherever babies are. They even do a "Movement Preschool" with structured activities and take-home crafts where they teach basic manners, colors and the alphabet! The BIGGEST sell for me on this membership is the fact that it comes with free, unlimited access to the on-site Sports Medicine services! You can make an appointment to go in and get a physical, sports massage, physical therapy for injuries, chiropractic adjustments, etc. It's the first gym I've seen to incorporate that and it is an absolute game changer. The fact that they give you access to those services plus everything else for only $110/mo is just bonkers. This is so long, but I could go on and on about this gym. Not only is it the bee's knees, it is also in fact the cat's pajamas. (Do people still say that?) Come join the club! Or don't, because IT IS MY PRECIOUS.

It's so positive, and teaches the kids so much more than martial arts; they also emphasize important life skills like respect, accountability/responsibility, and compassion. The instructors Josh and Hannah are phenomenal and truly care about the students as well. This summer we missed a couple of weeks in a row due to vacations and when my son returned, they (or older students) automatically did extra one on one time with him during classes to help catch him up. They empower and encourage the kids while challenging them at the same time. But most importantly for me, I've seen a huge surge in confidence in my son which means the world to me. Watching him practice his skills at home (because he wants to) and being excited to do them in class has been awesome. He's got better body awareness as well and so many of the skills they're learning transfer to other sports. I also appreciate the flexibility in the schedule with how busy things are. I did trial runs at a few different gyms in The Valley before I finally settled here. The…read moreprofessors are both former world champions which are excellent at teaching practical techniques and place a heavy emphasis on live rolling and application. Even better, the gym has a really cool vibe, the professors are friendly and accessible and the upper belts aren't prideful and are super willing to help the new guys. These classes have become the highlight of my week! Highly recommend if you are interested in Jiu Jitsu.

First timers over here! Took the family to do something fun and something new - and this place did…read morenot disappoint! The ambience was a bit crazy due to a rock climbing completion going on but we were still able to get our climb on without it being super duper crowded. The people here (climbers and their families) are super friendly and gave us tips on how to get started, even helped us do a climb! The kids were ecstatic and got their wiggles out, and got to be active for an afternoon...I'm afraid we might be converted!

Local gyms are my favorite. Less crowds and it's not as intimidating. They have an interesting…read morerating system, it's based on consensus, sometimes climbs are harder or easier than it should be. But the gym has good routes, bouldering, top-rope, and lead. The only problem I run into, are the Summer camps and classes, they're at least twice a day so you have to plan around it.
