After being twice butchered by the rock n roll barbershop chain I finally found this gem and wholeheartedly recommend this barbershop. I went here based on the positive yelp reviews and am happy to report that this place is great. Tim genuinely cares about giving a good haircut and takes the time necessary to make sure that you leave his chair looking tight. For instance, for $21 Tim not only gave me a great cut, but he also cleaned up my beard and my wiley eyebrow hairs to boot. He's also easy to talk to and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I've been going here for over 5 years with my son. The last few times I've come in I've been over looked for customers who came in after me. Today was no different. I've been a loyal customer tipping every time I come in, even when the rookies give me a bad haircut. So today I walked out and went to the barbershop down the street call New Gentleman on Galena. This is my first time writing a review for anything. Literally anything, BUT I loved going here so I decided I should give a lil back since I use reviews all the time. I moved down here 2 months ago and was looking for a good place for a good haircut. I found a great place that gave me a great haircut! Nice clean spot. Really chill environment where you can shoot the shit with your barber or the other patrons about life, sports, whatever. My barber was Mike who did a hell of a job. I'm lucky to live nearby, but even if I didn't, I'd still come back. This is the place to go. And they have NFL gameday package so they show all the games there. A lil football with your haircut? I decided to try out a Legends Barbershop today. The name says it all. These guys are awesome. The ambiance was sweet and it was clean. Very nice presentation. I got my haircut by Darren, who did a fantastic job. He was personable, professional and new what he was doing. I met Mike the owner of the shop and he really knows how to run a business. Needed some major help on a undercut that was improperly layered and overgrown. Came in and saw Mr. Vaughn Halen. Dude is going by Vaughn Miller now cause he is the real MVP (GO BRONCS!). Gave me a great cut, trimmed my beard just to be nice and shared some laughs. Definitely will be coming back! Great hours, straight up barbershop, they answer the phone fast, clean shop, located right off the freeway. Not too talkative but if you wanna gossip you should probably so to a salon or day spa. You can pay more, you could pay a little less but the price is right for the neighborhood and environment. Unfortunately they are very SLOW SLOW SLOW! when I arrived, there were 2 guys with 2 barbers working in front of me so I think no big deal an extra 20 minutes...nope! First time trying Legends Barber Shop out. Was in need of a cut bad and missed my normal barber at a normal shop I go to. The cut turned out really well as I'm really apprehensive with new barbers working on my head. Melissa knows her stuff and hooked the cut up above my expectations. I brought my son for a haircut this afternoon after hearing good things about this shop from a friend. Our experience was absolutely terrible. Our barber was cold and rough with my son- didn't speak to either of us and pushed his head from side to side, getting his fingers in my son's eyes. It was obvious that my son was uncomfortable and I had to ask the barber to stop at one point. Additionally, the haircut is awful and took an hour. My son left in tears and I was obviously upset when leaving. No one tried to address this as we left. What a disappointment. read more

First time there with Johnny was the BEST cut I have ever had. Not to be confused with this time with John. This was the worst cut I have ever had. Was excited to go back and get a trim. Unfortunately for me, and this establishment, Johnny wasn't there. Being the only time I had, I gave another guy a whirl. Huge mistake. He gave me the cut he wanted, not what I requested. My, "just a trim. Three on the side and blend it in to the top." Turned in to a shaved head with bangs. Would be great if I was in the military or 15. Unfortunately I am neither. After reading other reviews, looks like a common trend. Hopefully they fix this. My entire office has been using this establishment up until now. Have a feeling when they see this cut, that will change. (When getting a trim, your hair should not be cut shorter than it was 4 weeks ago. Just saying.) read more

Perfect... If you like sissy little beards and razor burn!! I thought I'd try this place out since it's right down the road and had great reviews. All I needed was a check line touch up shave since I'm currently growing out my beard. I walked in and was immediately asked if I were ready. I sat down and explained what I wanted. He asked if I wanted a beard trim too. I said sure clean up the split ends. Almost two seconds later, a full clipper was run through my beard taking off about an inch of 1 1/2 inch total growth. Apparently split ends run about an inch long these days!! When it came the the check and neck shave Walmart caliber products were used, no lather, no brush, a dirty luke warm towel was used and either a dull blade or little to no experience led to my neck looking like I had harlequin ichthyosis. No oils to soften the beard and nothing special. Floyds does so much better if you want a cheep shave. If you need a good shave while growing out your beard head to Propers or GQ downtown!! read more
