This hidden gem is located in the midst of downtown Rochester. There is street parking, or if you go towards the back there is free customer parking (only a few spots). I was lucky enough to score a parking spot in the back and entered from the back. The shop was relatively larger than what I expected. I saw a few pictures of crystals, but I did not expect him to have so many! There was a lot of beautiful Native American pieces that fascinated me. The gentleman at the counter is Cherokee and informed me that on Sunday he will be closed for two weeks due to practices. I was really surprised to see so many bigger crystal pieces. He even had some that are harder to locate (ex. chromium quartz). Ps. He has the cheapest tumble stones I have seen so far. They were $1.50 a piece or 5 for $6. He did have some others on another shelf that were more expensive due to the rarity, which is normal! The large shelf he had was filled with beautiful crystals. I love the raw form at the base with the polished points. He labeled them at the bottom as well and the prices were fair. I will definitely be back! read more

Staff was kind and helped me around the store. I bought 2 items from the shop and they're still in great shape. The 2 items I bought were a rose quartz sphere and a wire ball to hold the crystal and make it a necklace. After purchasing the items, I put together all 3 of them until I realized, the cord they gave me had a part of it blocking the wire ball to pass through. The ball didn't fit which made me sad but I did find another cord at home that could fit it. read more

I've lived in Rochester for years but I visited the store for the first time very recently. I have to agree that the energy from this store is one of tranquility and deep historical importance. The store has a great stock that is comprised of books, tumbled stones, crystals, pendulums, jewelry, Native American artifacts and crafts, incense, shawls, and statues. I know I'm missing a lot but the store has a great selection of items. Price-wise, at least for the crystals and healing stones, you really can't beat it. Especially for genuine crystals (save for a few dyed quartz that I spotted). Sadly, recently, I was scammed by a different seller, who i had believed to be reputable, into buying a quartz tower that was actually made of glass (indicative by glass bubbles inside of the 'crystal'). Thus, when I visited Legends of Time, along with all the other shops I visited, I carefully inspected the quartz points I wanted to buy to determine if they were genuine. They were genuine. But I guess the shopkeeper read my brief inspection of the crystals the wrong way, and as a result he rushed me through checkout and came off as a little hostile to me. I had to dock off one star for that. But all in all, it's a lovely shop with great prices and a wonderful selection of goods. read more

This place was exactly what I was looking for! I was on the hunt for a few new healing crystals and stones and took a gamble with this place. I noted that the description of this store said "Native American art gallery", not what I was looking for but of the three pictures posted I could zoom in and see that they did in fact carry what I was looking for. So I took a gamble and drove to Rochester. Boy am I glad I did! I arrived before the store was even open at 10am and parked in the rear of the store which was free. There is only a few spots otherwise you have to meter park, so bring change. Yelp takes you to 4th street and Main Street, but the shop is actually closer to 3rd street and Main, just for reference. Upon entering the store you instantly feel this sense of harmony and calm, the aura is very strong! I knew I was in the right place! I was here for over an hour and lived every minute of it. I could have spent longer but I had other errands on my to-do list for the day-mark my word I will be back soon. Dan the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable of all things in his store, as he should be he's part Native American and Cherokee (if I recall correctly) and he also makes a lot of the items sold in the store. He was able to answer all my question and we even just made small talk which I enjoyed. He's been in business for over 30 years, has 2 shops, and has been at this location for over 17 years- pretty impressive if you ask me! Now to the goods. Dan carries nearly everything you could think of when it comes to metaphysical items. Healing crystals and stones of all colors, shapes and sizes. Pendents, pendulums, and jewelry. Books and literature. Candles, incense, smudging sticks like sage and white fir. He has beautiful candle holders made of pink Himalayan salt and selenite, he even has night lights. Dan is first and foremost a expert in Native American history and culture, so the store has a ton of art, blankets, dream catchers, statutes and jewelry, but he is not limited to just these types of items. Like I said, I spent over an hour in the place and could have easily been there for an hour more. I ended up purchasing 15 healing crystals/stones, a pendulum, and agate slab, a seer stone, and a unbroken geode. The prices were the best I've seen so far, it didn't break my wallet like others places would have. I look forward to going back and seeing what other items find their way to me. If you're into Native American items, metaphysical, holistic things, or just looking for a unique item/gift I definitely say check this place out. Such an amazing and surreal place. As I entered the shop, I felt a calming peace come over me. I felt humbled. Light music was playing and the smell of incense was in the air.
