    Chicken supreme
    Margaret L.

Had the worst risotto of my life here, yikes. Ambience was peaceful and somewhat sophisticated given it's a hotel restaurant. Service could be better. We got here just before 5pm, which is when they transition from the lunch to dinner menu. However, they refused to show us the dinner menu until after 5, so we waited around nearby. Chicken supreme was ok - chicken a little dry, and the basil leaves were too bitter. The short rib was the best thing we ordered and quite tender, but a little heavily salted. And the salmon - it was cooked well but lacked any flavor. The "lobster risotto" it came with was disgusting - no lobster in sight, and the risotto tasted like straight milk. Our server was polite but forgot about us at the end after taking our plates away. I'm pretty unhappy with this experience given how much everything cost ($35 USD per person pre-tip). Do not recommend.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch and were desperate for food before heading to Jasper National Park from Banff. We set our bar very low for this place because we weren't expecting great food in a location with high tourist traffic. But we walked into the hotel and this restaurant was located immediately to the right of the entrance. The interior was so beautiful. A contemporary design with cute bud vases and plants everywhere! The servers were so nice and took care of our drinks right away. We ordered the pesto wrap and Cesar saladbwith chciken. Loved both our dishes and the quality/portion of everything! The chef did an awesome job with the chicken! It was not dry! Would totally recommend making a stop here for lunch.

    Spinach salad w/ chicken

Located in Lake Louise inn, we stopped by before heading to Peyto after Johnston Canyon. Not sure why the reviews are so low because we were satisfied with our food. The spinach salad with chicken was a light yet tasty lunch, and my family enjoyed their chicken burger, fish & chips and Caesar salad. Quite expensive for the portion sizes...but if this is your only option for food, recommend.

Legends Restaurant is located at the Lake Louis Inn. We went there for dinner and it wasn't busy at all. There were five people working the front/ dining area. They have tables on their patio but we decided to sit inside. We ordered two waters, a Pilsner, blackened cod, and elk burger. We asked if the Pilsner is local and our waiter said yes. We asked where and she blurted out, S-S-Saskatchewan! It didn't sound very convincing but at least the Pilsner tasted good. The cod was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing since that's the supposed to be the star of the dish. That said, everything else on the plate was good. The elk burger was only okay. The wait staff just stood around chatting with each other or zoned out at the wait station. My water glass was not filled and it was on the edge of the table waiting to be filled. Towards the very end of our meal, our waitress walked by, looked at our table, saw that we were still eating and walked away and never came back with water. Also, check your bill because the prices we were changed were higher than what was stated in the menu!

The food is high quality and delicious. The food took a while to come out despite the restaurant was not full. But that didn't bother us.

Food was mediocre at best. Had a burger and it tasted like leftover meatloaf. Service was slow.

More of a Mediterranean twist for dinner. I am not a fan of lamb chops but it was hands down the best meal that night. Similarly, Lake Agnes also has a commanding view, and Tea! There are several dozen varieties of hot tea, plus cold sandwiches (we had cucumber and hummus sandwiches), assorted biscuits and pastries- but sadly (yet not so sadly), no coffee. Foods at the house are cash only; the line on the steps on the right is for seating; the line on the left is for take out. Should you take out, as we did- and sit along the water- beware of the chipmunks, and do not let their cuteness disarm you. They will sneak up, climb on you, and pull food from your unsuspecting hands. THink seagulls at the beach...cute scavengers with no ethics who pray on the unaware. To earn your tea, you will need to hike to Lake Agnes. It was 5 miles from parking lot to tea and back, so roughly 2.5 each way. Yes, it is uphill; yes, you will need legitimate footwear, water, bear spray (on off seasons especially), and rain gear or whatever else you would need. In August, the trail was well travelled, so you were never alone with the bears. The view from the top is commanding, and you will see Mirror Lake on the way as well. We started to hike from Lake Agnes to the Little Beehive- another mile each way- but we decided against it, as my wife's boots were bothering her. The teahouse is a neat spot, and those who can hike to it will appreciate leaving the influencers at Lake Louise behind to go earn your tea!

The journey up isn't too bad, but near the top there are a lot of horse droppings. When you arrive, there's a stunning view of a lake right in front of the tea house. They have two separate lines, one for dining in and one for to-go. The seating accommodations are minimal, but they will do their best to get you in. The food and tea itself aren't anything to write home about, but it's mostly the ambiance and aesthetics that keep this place going. They do ask you to take your trash down with you if possible, which is a bit of a hassle, but worth it to help do your part!

I really liked the game burger which was a mix of bison and beef and loved that I could get a large caesar salad on the side. Really satisfying meal and a great end to a day in Lake Louise.

The Caesar salad was lackluster with tired, warm lettuce and a sauce that tasted of mayo, and croutons that were an unnatural yellow color. Dessert was a peach cobbler where the strawberries and blackberries unfortunately dominated the flavor. The house-made raspberry-basil ice cream was a nice touch. Service from Alyssa was friendly and helpful and welcoming. So, hard to rate overall with a home run and then two swings and a miss. I've decided on 4 stars because the overall experience was good in a beautiful, rustic cabin setting.
