While visiting Detroit what else to do..take a cab over to Canada. Hence even if local travel, never leave home without your passport, you never know. Decided to visit Cesar's casino. After wining like $15 went searching for food. No luck, one restaurant didn't open until late, the other line was longer than 2 football field. But alas right next to it was a nice little bar. We decided have a drink and we'll catch dinner back in Detroit. Pretty much like other sports bars located in casino. We ordered beers sip while people watch and just enjoyed the company. Pretty bustling but didn't have to wait to long to order our drinks. Bartender friendly and engaging. Bottom line just really cool to hop from Detroit into Canada..who does that.. I do. read more

The food, the service and the ambiance were amazing. Maybe we were hungry or maybe we were happy and had some good vibes, but the server was wonderful and he was friendly and nice. We ordered calamari and steak dinner...and...MUAH perfection. That garlicky butter sauce on the steak, I want some more and slurp it while I'm at it. Legends is exactly what you would think it is. Sit down casual casino fare with lots of tvs. Was in town during the first round of CFP playoffs and was slightly concerned about being able to watch it, but they had on the games in addition to NFL and hockey. Bartenders stay pretty on top of things considering how busy it can get. read more

A friend and I had dinner at Legends on a Friday night. We arrived around 9:30 or so and were promptly seated. There were a few minutes in between from us getting seated and our waitress arriving. The waitress was friendly enough. I ordered the grilled chicken and rigatoni. My friend had a burger and fries. The food came out within 10 minutes. My meal was plentiful with veggie. Chicken could have been larger, but everything tasted good. My friend enjoyed his burger. I thought the price point was fair for what I received. I didn't have a beer during my dinner but stopped back to buy one during some gaming and the Molson was super cold and tasty. This is a solid casino option! read more

My partner and I came here for drinks and a snack. This sports bar is located inside of the Caesars Windsor. They had the Georgia vs Ohio State game on their TVs, but switched the channel when it was 15 minutes before the ball drop in Times Square. We flagged a gentlemen down who ended up serving us himself instead, he apologized for the service, and he did his very best to accommodate us and checked on us several times despite having several tables of customers. They have small selection of appetizers, entrees, etc. My partner tried their Miami Vibe drink, and I had their peach in the beach. We shared an order of poutine with the gravy on the side. It wasn't what I expected because I thought the cheese curds would be fried. I did love the French fries however, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's been awhile that we have been inside this Restaurant. We were craving some burgers, so we thought of going back to this place. Line: Incidentally, There were lines formed. One for the general public, with the Gold and platinum status, 2nd line for diamond patrons, and 3rd line for elite- Seven Stars. Probably, you can guess, who gets the attention and seated first. And of course, the group with less priority.Although, the menu price does not change, Seating selection appears to focus on the card you can show. Cut story short, almost an hour later, we finally got seated. Since we had all the time to go through the menu, while in queue, We were almost ready to order as soon as we were seated. So eventually when approached by the server for drinks, we also politely gave her our food order. It took about 15 -20 mins at least before the food was served. It was dropped on our table, and basically the server left without saying anything or if we need something else. Actually, we were thinking of asking an additional plate so we can split the Legend Burger we ordered. Waited for at least 5 mins, and no body was around or close enough to request extra plates. So, we decided to take upon ourselves to go and grab 2 small plates located on each of servers table. Then, we were able to eat comfortably courtesy of our own initiative. 30 mins passed, food almost done, and our water was needing a re-fill. Mind you, up to now, no one has approached us to even ask if 'there is anything we need?'. Until, there was another survey across the counter that we now asked to give us our bill, and water refill. This one, came quickly, and in no time, we were able to pay, and got the water we were waiting for. So how do you want us to rate them? We will let you judge! Aside from the service, The Place was clean, and spacious, Food was ok. Like I said, we only had the Legend Burger, + a piece of fish and chips. Now the question, would we go back? Legends Sports Bar is at Caesars Windsor. It is, what it is. As for the dining choices at this casino, Legends is probably your best choice but that is not saying much. The food is not terrible. The steak sandwich is pretty decent but somewhat bland. It could use additional seasoning. The french onion soup is alright. A little salty perhaps. The bone-in wings were acceptable I suppose. The service here is atrocious. The staff seems to disappear for 15 minute stretches at a time. They are either overwhelmed or overly casual. Your drink might go unfilled for quite awhile. They are friendly though. Legends is like water in the desert. The desert being the vast void of palatable restaurants within this casino. I'm not saying this place is good. It's just better than your other choices: Neros, Spagos, the buffet, Pronto Cafe, Tim Hortons. I mean, I guess if I was going to give you advice, I'd say go eat somewhere else outside the casino. read more

Worst place to eat period. Whole meal no one refilled my drink, no one asked if we needed anything! Also what I found interesting is that the casino try to give you a whole bunch of food credit and make you go eat at their restaurant. They serve HUGE portions then tell you NO TAKING LEFTOVERS. I found this rule ridiculous. So I understand there is no take out for food credit, and I would probably say no to those who sits for 10 minutes and try to take an untouched dish. But for customer who ordered full meal, did not order excessive amount of food and finished most of it, shouldn't you think it's a better idea to have them take their leftovers? So the casino spent that much money to switch from plastic straw to paper straws trying to be environmentally friendly but end up mandate their customer to increase carbon foot print by not taking their left over? I know it's a small thing but it's rude and it's against anything that an environmental friendly person's principle. On the other hand, force your customer to finish their dish is a large disregard of their well being. It absolutely advocates for obesity, nothing out of consideration of the well being of your customer. Either make smaller portion or let people take their left over. Not everyone want to be 300lb. Yes I'm mad, at least it's just straight out rude, you would rather throw your customers' half ate burger away instead of let them take with them so they can finish it latter. Slow service. Extremely slow. Food was warm at best yet overcooked. Just not a pleasant experience.

We showed up and the host was not very engaging. I get it if it's late at night and he has been working all day but it was 1pm. He sat us at a booth where we were just left and didn't get drinks or anything. I had to wave down another waiter to get drinks. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because my waitress was nice. However, I would eat somewhere else if I could next time I'm there for a show and short on time... I had come here the first time with 2 friends and my husband. We had a nice waitress that was friendly and answered our questions about the menu. She also recommended some good options for us upon request. We ordered the pierogis to start, they were fresh and tasted great. Then we ordered nachos with chicken for the table; my husband ordered a "Build Your Own Burger" with fries, and our friends ordered salads to start. The food took what felt like forever to come out. We noticed our waitress running about cleaning off tables while our food was up at the counter. It seems the wait staff cares more about cleaning off tables to fill up the place. Unfortunately the ones already seated and waiting to get served suffer the consequences. Once out food came out, there were mixed reviews for the food items. The Oriental salad was good, but the Caesar salad had raw, pink chicken in it. It looked as if it was seared and served, not fully cooked through. It was sent back and took almost 30 minutes to get a fresh one. The nachos were very heavy and tasted great. They had the usual toppings of pico de gallo, shredded cheese, beans, jalapeño, sour cream, lettuce, and tomato -- we also added cubed chicken. My husband ordered the BYOB and it was good too. Just an FYI to those who order any ground beef in Canada, by law it must be cooked 'well done'. The fries were fresh and crunchy. Our waitress took the Caesar salad off the bill and didn't charge us for any additional chicken added to our entrées. Another time we went in here I ordered the Chicken Bacon Wrap, which was fresh and tasted great. It was nicely wrapped and easy to eat. I got a small side salad with the order, which had lettuce, tomato, and cucumbers in it...simple and fresh.I had the same waitress and she was still very nice and accommodating. Overall, the food is pretty decent. The service was very slow, the food takes a long time to come out and you may sit the entire time without a refill. Most of our visits to Caesars Windsor are to see a show; we have been unnecessarily late both times due to the slow service here. If you go to watch a game, there are a lot of TVs and it offers a nice atmosphere to watch and focus. read more

The drinks were great. We got their Caesars. They first impress you with the drinks, then they come back 5 minutes later to order your food. The calamari came with only 5 small pieces with watery dipping sauce. The Caesar salad was over dressed and salty. We also had the ribs combo. The only thing acceptable was the ribs. I'm sorry to give a 1 star review but this was one of the worst dining experiences. If you're going for beer and a sports game only I could see this being a good spot. We bought a set of wings and nachos. It took over 30 minutes for them to arrive we tried to cancel our order but they wouldn't let us. We went with the honey garlic which the sauce was good but there wasn't enough sauce on the wings so we had to order extra sauce. The wings were really small and there wasn't much meat. We asked for chicken nachos which they told us there would be an extra charge for the chicken but if it was more than 3 dollars they would let us know. The nachos weren't good at all, very bland and the chips tasted stale. We told our waitress that the nachos tasted stale and she asked us if we wanted a box to take them home instead of taking them off the bill or talking to management. We received a bill with no items on it for $37 dollars for 10 wings, chicken nachos and 1 beer. We were too exhausted to complain or argue anymore, it felt like you were at a car dealership and where you just give up after time. I can't wait to never go back. read more

Perfect place for a drink if you want to be disrespected by the bartender. Never in my life, all the hotels I've stayed in, have I experienced such a rude individual in a customer service environment. There are policies in place here to prevent overserving of alcohol, which I completely understand, but don't expect these to be communicated to you in a friendly or respectful manner. Instead the bartender will talk down to you and become frustrated when he needs to explain them. Maybe the staff are sick of communicating these policies to the patrons, but this is YOUR JOB, if you aren't interested in providing customer service maybe you should find a different job. We enjoyed our brief "snack" here. I say "snack" only because it was late at night when we got a drink and but the portions were very favourable and large. My wife had the taco salad (comes as vegetarian) and I had the ceasar salad with chicken. The price of food is super cheap in comparison to other restaurants and pubs, I think due to the casino wanting you to spend your money on gambling. Just my thoughts. The staff were nice and friendly, there were big tv screens displaying current sports events and statistics, it was clean, and the layout was ok. Decent place but not a classic sports bar. Well we stayed in the Hotel as part of a group , I already had dinner plans with YELP help but somehow everybody that wanted to go napped real long and then we did not feel like going out anymore, we should have though! The dinner was surly not legendary. We were seated promptly at a booth that was conveniently placed to see the giant screens in the middle of the sports bar. We waited a little till our waitress showed up so we were ready to order, she just said Hi and took our drink orders , the local beer selection was not slim it did not exist at all. Ontario Rosé wine though. After a while we were able to order nachos as appetizer , jalapeños on top. The portion was huge, the cheese was not very plentiful and the meat was a mystery( crumbled stuff , looked like Taco Bell). They went soggy real quick and we left most of it untouched. Our burgers arrived about 3 minutes after the nachos( the waitress apologized and told us that the kitchen staff is not good in timing things) , we were never asked how we wanted our meat and I guess that meant for the chefs that we wanted them well,well done... so well that they were dry and tasteless. The buns too , just like sawdust. The servers changed in the middle of our meal so all of a sudden we had a new person taking care of us. I will give it three stars because the waitress was nice and patient. She accommodated us when we asked to be moved to seats with better backs, as opposed to high chairs, and was happy to split tabs or bring refills. If you like sports (on TV, not actual exercising) then this place has a dozen TVs three of which are quite large. That is where the goodness stops. I guessed we would be in trouble when we arrived and noticed a queue at the entrance. There are literally four bartenders serving six tools at the outside bar, but one hostess meeting 25 guests, taking them to their tables, giving them an intro on the place, very slowly shuffling back and taking another set of guests and so forth. Guests arrive hoping to get in faster than the sole hostess slowly walks them in and slowly walks back. The food itself is barely tolerable. It is heavy, a grease fest and completely standard. Mediocre chicken wings, bad hamburgers, surprisingly good French Fries and a severe lack of drink choices (probably the result of an exclusivity' contract between Caesars and whoever). They have the wings, the burger, the ribs and the unhealthy salad and not much else. Amaze me how 'sports' bars are the unhealthiest places on the planet this side of living near a coal mine. They have a captive audience and they know it, but if you have any interest in good food you have to walk out of the casino. The other options inside the casino is an expensive steakhouse, a buffet (scary on its own, but was closed when we got there) and a Johnny Rockets, which is some of the worst 'hamburgers' in the world. Now, two questions I really need an answer to: 1- what is up with all the limping or handicapped or physically immobile people at the casino? 20% of the gamblers were limping on a wheelchair or using walkers. What is going in our society that has so many people unable to be mobile. 2- What is up with Windsor and shawarma? There must be 25 shawarma restaurants in the downtown area alone. read more

This was our "go to" restaurant/bar during our 2 night stay at Caesars. We found the food to be pretty good. Although, we didn't eat big meals. The Chicken Taco Soup was delicious! The burger was very good. We ordered Nacho's one night, late, and they were okay. We paid extra for taco meat, but had a hard time finding it! (nothing like the nachos pictured on other reviews) Prices are pretty reasonable compared to other venues. We made the mistake of ordering martinis which came in a mini martini glass which only held a shot's worth, they were $6 a piece, so at least were not charged normal charge for a martini. I did order a Jameson and Ginger and it sat at on the bar for a good 20 minutes before I could get someone to bring it to me. Very pleasant staff. read more

Simply put... Worst service ever. We sat at a table (just 2 of us) and after we ate (food was alright not great) the waitress asked if we were in a rush. We said gonna watch the game and have few beers. The rest was awful. We would wait for at least 15 minutes for each drink, with our empty glasses at the end of the table in sight for her to ask us if we wanted another round. We normally had to stand up and flag her down. If it weren't for the game we didn't want to miss we would have left for a place who's staff care about their tip. Absolutely worthless!!! They have a very rude system that no matter you came first and waited for a long time, they just come and seat people who just arrived but are diamond members of the casino! And then after that we waited more they came to seat us, although there were free tables, they wanted us (a couple) to sit next to each other on tables like bar tables facing nothing but other people in the restaurant, very close to strangers, and when we asked we want a table the lady told see there is no empty table, but there was!!!!!! this is not the way you should behave customers, and you shouldn't sell a 16$ hamburger but don't have appropriate table, at the end guests and diamond members are going to pay equal, they should get equal service, we left with bad feeling and wasting time there, and went to Johnny rockets in the casino, which is cheaper but the staff were very very polite and food was delicious read more

Been to this bar couple times. Their service and food were okay, nothing special. I am happy that they stay open until 2:00 AM and their prices are just slightly higher than other sports bars outside of the Casino. It is a good place to hangout with friends and watch a game. read more
